So we didn't keep Reilly on the roster, why? Hopefully we go after someone to help this core.

Tim Graham: Anti-cronyism in Buffalo with new regime
BillsFan17 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me, most coaches/GMs understand the nature of the business. Enough so to not habe the stones to do this type over overhaul. The time frame in which you need to win and keep your job is so short. In turn, without full and total trust from the ownership. Some will call certain moves "rebuilding moves." However, over the past 17 years, none have truly stripped this thing down and started from scratch like we are seeing here. -
QB Mason Rudolph & WR James Washington

Lmao, that's right, those 2011 Buffalo Bills were an absolute juggernaut. Ya know, when they forced four INTs. -
Drafts - Have the Bills made many stretches?
BillsFan17 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This whole thread is moot. You are basing this solely off media rankings and not how teams have them ranked. Hence why we see "risers" and "fallers" week in and week out leading up to the draft- because they slowly get more real info about the way teams view these players. -

Nate Peterman Love .. anyone vs. 2018 QB draft??
BillsFan17 replied to WideRightRevenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My only issue with Peterman is, just wait until they actually start game planning. We don't necessarily have pass catchers that will always get open, they are more possession types. The types you have to be very trusting with and more so accurate because the coverage will be tight. -
Just talked to a former player from the SB years
BillsFan17 replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The talented young players all had huge question marks to go along with their talent. I'm not overly happy about it, but the fact of the matter is 7-9, 8-8, 9-7, 6-10x3, etc... just isn't cutting it for me at least. The roster, as constructed before the trades was not necessarily a playoff team, let a long one that was built towards long term competitiveness. I don't think we needed to make as drastic of moves, but if these moves are helping to gear up for a QB in 2018 and putting together a more cohesive roster, then I am all for it. However, we need to now stick with this and not change the course in two or three years. -

1) They didn't just show up and and start trading people. They went through camps, practices and pre season games. 2) This year absolutely is a wash. For the first time we aren't going for a mediocre season. We weren't a contending roster and if you thought otherwise, that's on you. I have adamantly spoken out on twitter about the consistent turnover being the biggest issue with this team. Every regime wants to put their stamp on this franchise, but none were willing to call a spade a spade. This team needed to be purged and rebuilt. -
Sullivan: One Head Injury. One Head case.
BillsFan17 replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So when the best player on your team says no to Keap, we still have journalist pushing him as a potential signing. Yeah, I mean the guy was awful on a rebuilding 49ers, but he'll do well on a rebuilding Bills. Gotcha -
Not for nothing, I'm a little tired of those who complained about meaningless wins that kept us from drafting higher in previous years. Now they want to complain that we might finally have the type of season that will position our selves to get a legit QB in the draft, and really try and do this thing.

Tyrod Taylor Film Session vs. Eagles
BillsFan17 replied to cover1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, its asking the guy to be a real QB and not this continuation of college style b/s that hasn't gotten us anywhere. Not for nothing, the sooner people acknowledge the fact, the success of the offense last year was a majority on the ground-the better off we are. Last year's offense is not meant to be the norm. We need a better passing attack. -
Very few, if any, had Dorsett falling out of the second, let alone falling that low. Might have went a bit high, but more scouts leaned towards Dorsett going towards the bottom of the first than as low as you projected.

Lmao so draft position has to do with it now? Tyrod went in the sixth for a reason, if we want to play that awfully weak card. -

Rosen may not enter 18' draft and that is ok
BillsFan17 replied to KellyToughII's topic in College Football
I'm sorry, but I also don't buy into these QBS making some sort of Elway/Manning type power move. Plus, in the case of Eli, both teams still ended up with high end QB prospects. I didn't see Rivers refuse to play for the Chargers after the trade, and by all accounts was a very highly touted spec in his own right. Furthermore, the draft has really evolved into such a spectacle and you see what Goodell has done with it. If players start dictating where they want to play and start to diminish that product... -
Well Cooks is better than Sammy so, yeah, makes sense why a team would give up the 32nd pick for him. If the Rams bottom out and have the worst record in the league. That second round pick will be... you guessed it 33rd overall. Let not make it sound like the Pats gave up a top pick here. It's easier to back the decision of a team that wins oppose to a team who continuously loses. I mean, in the real world would you listen to a financial adviser who consistently makes his clients money or a guy who had had a track record of 17 years in the red?

Jordan Matthews chest injury (update: Sternum chip)
BillsFan17 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Idiot is consistently changing ish over and not having player to fit new scheme because you drafted them for another scheme. However, I have to admit this regime isnt for a second going to force square pegs into round holes. Also, they don't seem content with mediocre QB play and are gearing up to go ball to the wall for none next year. So the trades aren't idiot, no matter how badly you want to pump that agenda.
