  1. What does overall record have to do with individual performance? Especially when the pre season is more about individual performance and evaluation.
  2. I think he's looked better as the game has gone on.
  3. I have zero issue holding guys out. Even if it is the most mild of ailment.
  4. If my son asks to play football, I won't say no.
  5. 3rd team in training camp when the coaching staff said they would bring him along slowly... it's okay you can strawman your way through it and continue to parade around as if it is not to early to make a full judgement. What's ironic is to bash the player and talk about his demotion, if he's really that awful what do you expect in return for a trade?
  6. Lmao, okay so he's supposed to be full speed and reacting and flying to the ball in a defense he's still learning while recovering from an injury. No one is saying his knee is stopping him from learning, it will absolutely play a role in him not executing as fast as they would like. You can act like the NFL isn't faster than college and more complex than college. Again, you can ignore the coach him self saying they will bring him along slowly. It's okay you know better than mcdermott. You know better than the training staff.
  7. Not one person ever flagged his work ethic at 'Bama. Don't see why it would change here. Under rex maybe, but this staff is no nonsense and we see that early on. It's most likely a combo of his knee, learning an NFL defense while basically having to undo everything he was taught last year. Thay and even the HC said they were going to take it slow with him.
  8. Actually USC and Clemson... You can keep harping on him not picking up on a defense in a handful of practices coming off an ACL injury. You can keep hopping from one foot to the other, doesn't change the fact he's basically a rookie being asked to learn an NFL defense whIle coming off an ACL injury. Plus, him having played in a 43 in college doesn't mean it's the same in the NFL. If you don't realise that, well then I see why I'm having this conversation. Yeah, I don't really see smoking pot being dumb considering it's legal in some states. Lazy at times sure but kid was an All Pro and one of the most dominate interior linemen in the NFL until Rex showed up.
  9. I re-read what you wrote and realized more what you meant. I apologize
  10. Yeah, no Peterson is an absolute freak. Stop trying to compare Ragland to him. Preston Brown has been in the league and has played in a version of a 43 in the NFL before. So yeah, it makes sense he would pick up on it faster. Very weak argument.. Yeah and dumb like Julio Jones-Best WR in football Landon Collins- arguably one of the best defenders in football. Mosley Ingram Dareus Clinton-Dix Amari Cooper Hightower Kareem Jackson Yeah pretty dumb group. You are reaching badly
  11. http://m.titansonline.com/news/article-4/A-Look-at-Marcus-Mariotas-Rookie-Accomplishments/107490e1-afe4-4337-a855-170574e45aaa I wouldn't necessarily call it quiet. Mariota had a pretty darn impressive rookie campaign on a worse team than the Texans. If Houston goes with Watson this year, watch out, kid will do some work.
  12. Yet Alabama ran mostly 43 looks just two years ago, when Ragland was their stud LB https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.saturdaydownsouth.com/alabama-football/smart-football-nick-saban-defense/amp/ He was widely considered a mid to late first round talent for his ability to play in either front... so Lmao, so now you know how long it takes for a knee to heal from the surgery. Man, what is it like to be his Dr? It's such a simple and easy D, considering he was asked to learn Rex's last year and completely undo that in what is basically his rookie year. Stop the nonsense. They aren't excuses when they are fact.
  13. Nothing to do with coming off an ACL surgery and trying to learn the defense? Just writing him off already. Thats awesome.
  14. What about people with children and full time jobs?
  15. Being able to be involved in any sports conversation
  16. Lol, I love all this, I mean it took Taylor five years before people thought he was a starter and everyone loved it. This kid is having some early struggles despite being known as a bit a project QB and everyone is writing him off... And don't give me that BS about where he was drafted, because we had this whole argument leading up to this past draft about taking project QBs higher in the draft. I don't believe in it... if you are further from starting than not, you aren't a first round talent. However, the NFL hasn't really agreed with me on that as of late. All-in-all, if it takes Lynch this whole season to still learn the NFL game and then comes out to be a franchise guy... will anyone really be upset that it took the time it was projected to take when he was drafted?
  17. No sarcasm at all. Its comical that a guy who hasn't accomplished **** wants to act like the media is critical for no reason. Furthermore, it's coming off the heals of a handful of mediocre practices. Seventh year in the league and this is his third as the incumbent starter here. What I also enjoy is the same Taylor apologists with all their excuses. i.e. just because he worked with Dennison in the past doesn't mean he knows his system down pat, gotta give him some time.. Are the same folks hating on Ragland because he's not running with the ones yet. Ya know the same guy who is coming off a torn ACL learning a TOTALLY DIFFERENT DEFENSE.
  18. Coulda woulda shoulda... I love Bobby Woods, but until he does it, I don't want to hear he's better than Boldin.
  19. Where are the people that were calling put Beane and being unimpressive?!?!
  20. I love the swagger from a guy who has to prove it in practice... How about you yell that when you carry a team to the post season... Wanna throw shade because you have been mediocre at best IN PRACTICE
  21. Believe you me, I'm in RR corner big time. I understand the hurdles he has, but he's def talented enough to not be over looked for other players.
  22. To be fair, I think a lot of us were expecting Rags to be the favorite for the starting role...
