I also posted on another thread here, my dad went into a diabetic coma for 4+ months, went from about 190 to about 100# before he died. What a joke. Dying pets and death row convicts are dealt with much more humanely. Bush is a frickin' joke too. Him and "culture of life" and he is going to keep all these veggies alive forever. His medical programs can't be financed as it is. Join the real world, and oh yeah, how many 1,000's died in HIS war?

OK, regardless of your feelings on this whole case, here is what I don't understand. Why pull her tube and have her pass a way in 1-2 weeks? I know we don't have laws/practices that support this, but why can't she just be injected with whatever and pass away immediately? Lets face it, if your dog is dying, you can take it to the vet and have it put under within a minute, no pain or suffering. We actually handle the final days of life better with our pets than with people. Heck, mass murderers are shown more compassion in death, a process lasting seconds. The best example I saw of this was my father. Near the end he slipped into a diabetic coma, he "lived" for 5 months in this coma, lost about 100# and was 95# when he died. What a joke!!! Why did he have to go through this? In my opinion the medical profession failed misserably. Hell, I failed him. Don't tell me he got 5 more months of life. Nobody should have to go through what he went through. It would have been much better handled had he been able to be put out of his misery, mercifully, quickly, and go that way.

I got to tell you this guy is right about Anderson's. Last time I went there, the quality of the food was disgusting, in part because it seemed the only people in there running it were all kids. The beef was just about raw. No direction for them in how to PROPERLY prepare food. I'd never go back or recommend it. Schwabl's is OK, the food quality can be inconsistent. I like the atmosphere, it's like a time warp back 40-50 years ago. I'd recommend Ernie Weber's on South Park in Blasdell. Great food. Just a few blocks away from Fran-Ceil's custard........................now there's another topic!!!

I used a specific charter in the 1,000 islands, guy was pretty good. Any ways, he tells me last summer he is quitting his charter business. Sponsored by a major tackle mfg'er, he was going to fish the Gulf of Mexico full time. Where the hell was I when they handed out that job??????????????

You're talking 18 mile creek in Niagara county, near the village of Burt. Never been there, but it is a hot spot. NYS does a lot of stocking especially in Cattaraugus and Chautauga counties. Steelhead runs off the lake too. Of course a lot of that is seasonal. Try a charter on Lake Erie. In the summer, the breakwall under the Peace bridge, and also the north end of Squaw Island at the locks. Shore fishing is tough around Buffalo in my opinion. Be sure to have a license too. DEC is really checking a lot

Great post DML. What are loking at next year for a property tax increase? I'm hearing 40%. And the civil service and teacher unions don't get it yet. They are still looking to bleed the area to get whatever they can. No view of the future, just get my $$$ now. Some local teachers are having "informational pickets" right now. Their signs say "I'm under paid and deserve more" BS!!!!! Phil Rumore of the Buffalo Teachers is the worst thing to happen to this area. The guy gives nothing for education quality, just pay me more. Of course if I was a teacher I would probably love the guy.
