  1. Not much when you consider that, ultimately, the NYS taxpayer foot the bill. Maybe "foot" wasn't the right part of the anatomy either Lastly, who pays a hooker from New Jersey $5 grand? Maybe the decimal was off by 3 places
  2. Here's a story from a year or two ago. At the Bills game, anthem going, 3 young guys next to me refuse to stand, just sit there. Well right after the anthem, the usher comes over because they are in the wrong seats, they should be one section over. As they go by me, the last guy goes by, I gave him a hard push in the back and he stumbles over the next 2 seats. I'm yelling to "next time stand for the anthem MF's". You should have seen all the support I got then from the locals around my seats. I had 3 beers bought for me during that game But I also wouldn't recommend any one do that. It was stupid and I got have easily ended up on the bad end of that altercation
  3. Few years later Led Z was touring and coming to Buffalo. I had some of the first tickets sold when ultimately they cancelled due to Plant's child's death. My favorite all time band and that was the closest I ever came to seeing them First concert, Deep Purple at the Aud in '73 promoting the Machine Head album. Others I saw:, Kiss, Bad Company, Stones, Kansas, Aerosmith, Chicago, Doobie Bros, Rush............then sat out the concert scene for like 25 years, last year I went and saw Bon Jovi, excellent! Damn, I guess I really found a thread I got a lot to add to
  4. They are coming here in a couple weeks, Club Infinity I believe it is
  5. Ex bass player of Ratt lives and plays in Buffalo. Recent Buffalo Music Award "BMA" winner. Joey Silver Extreme is a great local band, go see them All you people here, get out and support the local music scene!!! Too many people's typical weekend is just going to some restaurant and stuffing themselves with food you shouldn't be eating any way
  6. We must be of the same age and time. Your other post in this thread about the Niagara St bar and Pegasus, that was McVans at the corner of Niagara and Hertel. Huge old place, a real dump, expensive prices and hot waitresses. I seem to remember them as all sisters too. Had to see Rasputin there too, a KISS cover band complete with the dress too. Just awesome. Spell it right, Talas. At the Barrelhead, He&She's, Afterdark too. Kleinhans reunion concert. Missed the one at the waterfront a few years back. Check out Billy Sheehan's web site for old Talas pictures, he has a ton of them, sure to bring back memories. Billy S Rocco still plays locally, check out "Ron Rocco's 9 Lives" is his band If you have an interest in local cover music, this is the BEST
  7. I just shopped my car ins last year and Geico was one of the highest, beat by Amica, Progressive and Hartford. Same for my bike, Progressive was half of Geico, and I got that a month ago
  8. My son and 3 friends of his are in Philly for Sunday's game. Had I thought of it, I might have tagged along and hit up the Caps game too, it's so close by Some how, when you're 18, I doubt you want your dad with you cramping your style
  9. INCREDIBLE!!! They have A 219 page thread on trading this guy
  10. Already a goal for Connolly, even if it was kind of a fluke
  11. Like when he thought: "I bet that girl is 18"
  12. I don't like the Sporty, I think the metric cruisers in that price range are better. But I would take a Fatboy or Heritage Classic. All this talk about loud pipes, any one running headlight modulators? I saw two types out there for $60 and $100. May go with it. Just bought a lightbar, I think the HM is a good addition to it
  13. Brand new rider, first time out yesterday Honda Shadow ACE, bought off EBAY first week of January and got a great deal
  14. And isn't he a FA next year? He'll do better than Nate C
  15. Where's the underpaid? Half the cops in NYS make over 100,000 a year with OT. Most teachers are in the $70-$80,000 range at least working what about 180 days a year. No sympathy here. And if it is so bad, leave and go into another career. In their own minds, they will always be underpaid
  16. Maybe that's in Connecticut. Any Buffalo suburb teacher can easily expect double that and more
  17. Not sure we're better or worse, roster holes filled and new holes open. But you have to admit the Bills sure were active so far this off-season. The one thing that concerns me after this season, aren't both JP and Evans free agents? I would have like to have considered extending these 2 now and make sure they are still here in 2008. If someone threw $80 mil at Nate, no doubt someone will do that to Evans. Then we will loose him, a true quality rising star
  18. My wife's friend Mary is on the A&E show. They were trying to get enough people from the Buffalo area to fill up a season's episodes. Her episode was done about 2-3 months ago. This is the premise of the show. IE: Mary has all her friends together (my wife was on this part) and they talk about the local dating scene. The guy does the same. Then the couple has a date and the date is critiqued afterward. And of course to make it interesting, they have people on the show that are, lets say "characters". A&E throws it all together and hopes they are bizarre enough to get you to watch. I asked my wife of 25 years, "WTF do you know about the dating scene????" Her response:
  19. OK, lets go with local Buffalo bands. The worse is Boys of Summer. Because my friends like them I went and saw them last night. Not my first time either. Like every 5 years you need to learn a new song. At least look like you're into your own music too. Instead of going through the motions, can't wait to get out, and give me the money Here is by far the BEST in Buffalo
  20. With his wealth, that's like one of us kicking in $5
  21. Next time you cross into Canada at Customs, you're in for a surprise then. Pay that one too
  22. Yeah, but at least he only did that in the Super Bowls
