A.J. Tarpley retires due to concussions
Jauronimo replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Imagine the look on the faces of all the Stamford University grads when they find out their school doesn't exist. Your anti-Bangladesh agenda is tiresome and offensive. -

Da Chronic???? This is Johnny Eightball we're discussing, Snoop. I'm not talking about that dime-bag of oregano you bought off some pimple faced kid with a wad of sweaty bills you earned on your paper route, junior. I'm definitely not talking about the stems and seeds that nice man in the alley gave you free of charge that you just had to fish out of his front pocket on account of his arthritis. I'm talking about making a little deposit in Banco de Bogota. Talking about fresh nose clams from the sea. Cocaine. This is the big leagues, kid. Grow up.

Nix vs. Whaley, the final showdown
Jauronimo replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your use of beleaguered is rather perplexing. Why would you want to do that? The ship is sinking Captain Nix! Buddy: Starboard 90 degrees, get 'er done! -

I loved the first 8 or 9 seasons of The Office as well. By most accounts, I have highly critical and picky taste when it comes to comedy. And everything else. -

Well that's a totally different school. The names are very similar by design as Stamford sought to benefit from the popularity and reputation of Stanford not unlike when you accidentally wind up surfing pronhub.com. Just not the same. Its a clever scheme but a tad dishonest, in my opinion, especially with something as big as a college education. -
Hotdam, outhouse livin' is the only livin'.

I thought this was going to be a "look at me" thread to announce that you updated your TBD name.

The Bills took Paxton Lynch to dinner last night.
Jauronimo replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You mean the CBA that covers NFL players? Pretty sure that draft eligible college kids who tuck their napkin into the collar of their shirt and order their steak "over easy" aren't covered. -

You can't check players for CTE before the draft. -

The Bills took Paxton Lynch to dinner, which could mean many things. Here are the facts so far: 1. Whaley tipped his hand taking Lynch to dinner rather than just go out for drinks. Any way you look at it, Paxton knows that we're QB "thirsty" if you will; (-2 Bills) 2. Dinner reservations were for 8:30 and the meal lasted for 3 hours. Promising sign; (+1 Bills) 3. They let Lynch order whatever he wanted and he chose the chicken which was the cheapest item on the menu. This might mean he isn't entertaining the idea of playing for us, or maybe he just really likes chicken; (+/- 0 Bills) 4. Lynch was reportedly texting a lot until apps arrived. He might be talking to other teams. Either way, not very courteous; (-2 Bills); 5. It turns out he was texting his roommate who just broke up with girlfriend; (+2 Bills) 6. Lynch recalled a joke Whaley had made at the combine and referenced it at dinner with a big smile; (+3 Bills) 7. Lynch didn't even offer to split the check. He didn't even pretend he was reaching for his wallet when the bill came; (-1 Bills) In summary, +1 Bills. I think we have a real shot at a second date with Paxton and Whaley should have just gone for the kiss rather than puss out with the goodnight hug. The Bills have elected to play it slow with Lynch. If he returns Whaley's text tomorrow afternoon, I think we might be fully pregnant by Sunday morning. -
McCoy's nightclub fight and the ongoing investigation

No. I will bet nothing on the whims of Goodell because I'm of sound mind and not personally invested in this issue. -

I know why there is talk. But last I checked, it remains just talk. Why do you think he won't do it again? How much would you be willing to bet that he doesn't toss 1 game at Shady just cuz? This isn't the first time Shady has brought scrutiny on himself. Outside of Bills fans, no one would blink if he were given 1 game. -

Why not? After 5 years of highly inconsistent, haphazard, reactionary discipline, why do you think Goodell can't afford to f@#$ another one up? -

Context is important. Ben was accused back in 2010, BEFORE we knew that sexual assault and domestic violence were wrong and frowned upon by the NFL. Also, there was no video evidence of Ben's crime. Shady, on the other hand, was caught rosé handed in the most compelling video evidence since Zapruder unwittingly helped the CIA get away with murder. The two aren't even remotely comparable which is why I'll be surprised if McCoy ever plays again in the U.S. or an extradition treaty nation. -
Good thing I unloaded my tickets for peanuts and watched an all time classic on TV. Can't say I regret it that much, but great game.

A Buffalonian's observations on his move to Texas

When was the last time you were there and where are you from? -
They went nuts once it was obvious that a miracle wasn't happening. I was surprised to see that the UNC presence was by far the smallest of all the out of town fans. My area of town turned into a SU and Oklahoma class reunion. Nova fans all congregated at the bar next door. UNC fans were scarce.
-
It was hard to estimate what the percentages were with so many lingering Nova fans and a few masochistic Oklahoma fans still in attendance but I'd have to guess it was higher than 60-40 in favor of Cuse. The UNC fans still seemed tense until under the 2 min mark. The celebration didn't really start until a minute in change left. The better team won, but there were stretches where I really thought we were going to see an encore of the UVA game.

I think I speak for most of the board when I say that I have strong and irrational feelings about this signing.

Every hour that goes by without the Bills cutting Shady, the indelible stain on this franchise grows. I haven't been this disgusted with the franchise since they almost expressed interest in signing Mike Vick, allegedly
