  1. You don't know what trolling is and you certainly don't understand the concept of satire. You already stated your apolitical beliefs about what will happen so don't shy away now. This thread was political from jump and if you had an ounce of intellectual honesty you would acknowledge it. But you don't, so we're here, having this conversation yet again where you tell me no one has said all things they have in fact said, and I'm just misconstruing their subtle, nuanced views regarding the NYT. Its no coincidence that my posts are the only ones you are responding to, and it proves the point I made on page 1 completely.
  2. You spend all this text laying out the grand design of the NYT to infect everyone with their liberal bent like slowly turning up the temperature on an unwitting frog and suggest I'm the one "carrying a torch" (whatever the hell that means) to take this convo to PPP land? That's impressive. Did you miss all your like-minded friends who just couldn't resist to take their shots at the NYT? The Athletic is still 100% sports and there is no reason to expect that to change but people here are ready to cancel their subscriptions. But I'm the one making it political.
  3. This is journalism. I just hope the NYT doesn't get their filthy hands on WFAN or Carton and Roberts.
  4. You mean already raging about the interjection of politics into the publication well before it has happened. Its tantamount to bitching about the officiating 6 days before the game has been played. Real high minded stuff.
  5. The sheer irony of the "keep politics out of sports" crowd injecting this thread with as much political commentary as possible is just, well, entirely expected. Face it, you want politics in everything. But only certain politics.
  6. Yes, I want a new stadium.
  7. Selling your house at the top of the market is awesome. Until you remember you need a place to live and have to buy a house during peak market.
  8. The fastball he threw to Singletary in the first half could have broken his hand.
  9. Some people have been completely brainwashed and just can't accept that he's an American hero.
  10. You're doing a lot of guessing today.

  12. I have not seen anything official from the team so I'm holding out hope he plays but its not looking great for our offensive line on Sunday.
  13. No, it was 99% effective in preventing Covid. Until 6 months later it was largely ineffective. And that was never the intention. Lets not pretend this was the plan all along.
  14. That's the purpose now.
  15. A few of the local Bills beat reporters sharing it on Twitter. Matt Bove and Buffalo Rumblings say dawk is out. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2021/12/24/22852959/bills-add-two-more-starters-to-covid-19-list-ahead-of-game-vs-patriots
  16. From what I've read this morning, yes.
  17. Irrelevant.
  18. That argument holds up well in court.
  19. Everyone knew the rules. Stop blaming the rules. At the beginning of the season vaccinated people were not testing positive en masse. Omicron to the Beasleys out there has been like hitting your inside straight draw on the river and saying you knew it all along.
  20. My frustration is largely due to watching some of these guys base their principled stands on the equivalent of memes my Q-Anon leaning aunt likes to share. EDIT: Give me a thumbs down and let me know you got duped from some loser on 4Chan.
  21. Vaccination is the difference between getting tested way more often and mandatorily missing 10 days and often 2 games vs. having a shot to play with a negative test. The rules were clear. Vaccination is a competitive advantage.
  22. I used store bought wonton skins for the shumai and I'm using frozen baos for the steam buns. If you're making your own skins then you're completely at my level or higher. I have made my own wonton wrappers a few times and while the finished product was awesome (except for the half fail soup dumplings I've attempted) I was normally left regretting the decision halfway through. The dough is so elastic that rolling out nice round skins took me far too long. I did watch a youtube vid of a woman who ran the dough through a pasta roller and punched out perfectly round skins with a mold. The bao dough is relatively easy but I didn't feel like portioning and rolling.
  23. Me too, PJ. Me too. But I'm a fun idiot to drink with.
  24. For Xmas eve potluck I have some boudin shumai and I'll be making some smoked pork belly steamed buns (bao).
