Taxpayer money for stadium improvements has nothing to do with TV blackouts. Nothing has really changed regarding blackouts in the last 40 years. There sure is a lot of whining and teeth-gnashing for such a "horrible product on the field" that you couldn't "pay me to watch."

Hackett's playcalling was still atrocious (RUN RUN PASS) and way to conservative, however the fact that he ditched the "fast" offense gives me some hope that he is willing to adjust. We got treated to a WR screen today (Stevie -1 yds), but hey, that's a start and I bet we see our first RB screen of the season next game. Oh, and a play-action pass that resulted in a beautiful TD. Someone needs to tell Hackett that the old K-Gun's effectiveness wasn't primarily due to the tempo. It was effective because the offense was packed with Hall of Famer's and Pro Bowler's.

It's truly amazing we didn't win 4 Super Bowls while Levitre was with us. He might only have been the 13th best guard in the league, but man, was that guy durable!
