  1. Sabres didn't deserve to lose that one. That 1st period was the best I have seen this team play since... since... I can't even remember. 2007?
  2. Eliminating social media from your life will make you more productive.
  3. Definitely significant, but the point I was trying to get across is that targets are a function of getting open, or at least the QB seeing you as open. Ben Watson had 12 targets in last night's game, mostly because he was open all night and ATL didn't have answer to an otherwise mediocre TE.
  4. There was only 1 game where he was targeted more the 20 times (21), the final game of the year. The 2nd highest game in his career is 15 targets. You produce more, you get more targets. Sammy's plan of "I need 10 targets -- and l'll be fine with however many yards I get," is something a diva would say.
  5. Is Tyler Dunne crazy? Printing anything negative about Sammy Watkins is a huge insecurity trigger for this fanbase. He may may have just passed Gleason on the Most Hated list. If he isn't careful, he'll catch Rodak real quick.
  6. Suspending someone with pay is called a vacation.
  7. Josh Johnson, a guy with about 4 days exposure to the playbook, is suddenly a better option than Cassel. Also, Cierre Wood and Dan Herron are apparently upgrades over FredEx. Something, something, excuses, something, money, something....
  8. Game clock runs off 18 seconds in error to start Steelers' winning drive Wow
  9. They played the Eastern Conf Champs pretty tight through 2 periods. Sloppy play in our own end eventually caught up. They desperately need Bogosian back. I think the change to a 3 vs 3 overtime is going to be the best change that the NHL has made in decades. It's.....insane. Seriously, just pure insanity. Constant unrelenting offense back and forth up the ice. You are not going to see a lot of shootouts this year. I'm sitting here clicking through the channels on Center Ice just hoping I get to see a game go to overtime.
  10. Are you kidding me??? That was the best song by a mile, every other choice was selected by a bunch of sad weeping vaginas. Sorry if you don't get it Grandpa Sabres Debut New Goal Song; It’s Great Jack Eichel drops needle on Sabres’ awesome new goal song The new Buffalo Sabres goal song is the best in the NHL ‏@Rick_City The Sabres using "Let Me Clear My Throat" as a goal song makes me so happy. Hockey is allowed to be fun. Yes they did lol, they went completely bonkers. And by the way, the Sabre's players selected that song for voting which makes it even better.
  11. Congrats DJ Kool.
  12. Interesting line. Some protection for the youngsters.
  13. Dan Herron is better than Trent Richardson.
  14. This is the last thing I wanted to read today.
  15. They always used to pipe-in crowd noise with the Blur Song 2 riff after every goal anyways. I hope GMTM knows wtf he's doing with that Lehner trade.
  16. I heard his favorite place to get wings is Little Caesar's.
  17. There will never be a metric that accurately gauges a QB's performance. There are just too many variables involved. In the past we've pointed out how silly QBR is, and that's supposed to be an improved model. Ironically, even with all the new sports metrics and analytics out today, the old tried-and-true QB rating may still be the best measuring stick. There sill isn't a metric that takes pre-snap reads into account. If a QB recognizes a hole in a defensive formation, audibles to a draw play, and that draw play results in a easy 15-yd TD run up the middle -- how does it effect his rating? It doesn't, and although the QB didn't run the ball, he played a vital part in scoring points. It's why the "eye test" will always reign supreme, although that depends greatly on how well those eyes are honed.
  18. Bostic is probably best known for his hit on Bridgewater in the Sugar Bowl. I always thought he was going to be a good LB, but he couldn't win a starting job so...? Mayo might be done.
  19. While watching I kept thinking how much it must suck to have Philbin as your coach. He looked completely defeated by the end of the 1st quarter.
  20. I have to ask what film you guys were watching? Through the first 3 quarters the Pats brought 5 or more around 40% of the time. They often showed fronts with 5-8 players on the line. Jamie Collins came through the A-gap unblocked about 3 times I think. They had 4 DB's on the field for the majority of the snaps. TT's longest completion through the first 3 quarters was 11 yards. Contrast that to the final 4 drives, where over 20 plays they brought 5 or more only 3 times (around 15%). They played nickel the majority of the time and it looked like everyone in the secondary took 1-2 steps back. The change in defense was quite blatant, as it should be when you are leading 37-13. "Garbage time" is this week's trigger phrase for those that want to pretend that we didn't just get our asses kicked.
  21. Division road games are are rough. Miami 28 Bills 24
  22. par·a·digm /perəˌdīm/ noun 1. Business parlance that rose to prominence in the 1990's; terminology often used to distract in lieu of providing actual substance. "Jack's business model was a complete nonstarter, so he called it a paradigm instead in an attempt to garner support."
  23. Could upgrade the Perry Projects by delicately converting them into parking lots.
  24. AW got blown up by an ex-teammate and just spiraled out of control from that point on. Keep it together, man!
