as the Coaches say "availability" trumps many things. Watkins has mad some freaking amazing catches for the Bills. Just stupid good stuff. and he was nearly always doubled in some way. I moved on when he got weird. I recall he and Fred ( another of my Heros ) were to visit a local car dealership. And Sammy made some lame excuse about his ride having issues. Fred stayed late and signed everyone's everything. That is when i suspected he wanted to move on. and then the foot issues that no one really knew, or reported clearly. and he became a decoy at best. Don't hate him. don't like him either. and those guys post Bills, both were foolish to pay him for " potential" lol well my feet hurt and make me grumpy. so me for one

Good post and good sense of humor Obviously Bills need to find youth at and any and all positions. Picking up a Vet is not exclusive to that mind set. More solid wisdom in the room helps the youth. kinda go hand in hand ? I understand your perspective. But what young player would not want an on the field mentor to eventually take over for ? If the Man can play football ? and he has shown he can you at least talk to him. in one or two years the Young blood is better prepared and experienced to take the role. and then the cycle repeats in theory of course : )

tis fact. Team building takes a coordination of putting different types together and making a great soup. I felt Anderson was going to become a fine mentor wherever he went. and i do not think the "plan" was to have him see the field honestly. As Beane mentioned , he owned much of the errors made with his risk taking at QB. Allen has proven he is the future Now all the Horses will be pulling in the same direction. that is a good thing.

(raises both hands ) me ! Those were the days eh ? Bills have sorted the QB room decently by me. Barkley is #2 and steps in if needed. Anderson is the Grey beard and mentors. could play if worse case scenario occurred. But Bills do need to draft one later or pick up someone they thought had potential, and has been pushed out because of a numbers from some other team. drafting one in the 2nd or 3rd is not a luxury Bills can afford yet with so many needs. some day we will get our very on Nick Foles though : )
