If the plan was to tank this year, then why the effort against the Vikings? Why the half time adjustment against the Chargers? I don't think the word "tank" is in McDermott's vocabulary. I do think he and his staff are getting completely mismatched against mediocre to good teams.

Didn't you say "Book it" that the Bills would beat the Packers? I wouldn't book any result with the Bills this season.

Maybe not look to you for answers, but McDermott better have some. And that is questionable. The Bills are now 1-3, and while no one expected them to be 3-1, the three losses were all embarrassing. A lot of this appears to be on coaching. Receivers not getting open, OLine can't block for the run game and the pass game blocking is somewhat iffy. On defense, aside from the second half of the Chargers game as well as the Vikings game, scheme is timid at best. Why not be more aggressive against the Rivers and Rodgers of the NFL? McD has to stop coaching scared...scared of winning, even with a talent deficient roster.

I completely agree that the national media knows little to nothing about the Bills. But I disagree with this regarding the other 31 teams. Each team has a pro personnel department, whose job it is to scout other teams and know their players, especially FAs and those likely on the trade block. They're not relying on the national media for this. I'd bet that they know exactly who and what KB is.

I think we can deliver the rush as shown in the Vikings game and second half of the Chargers game. Scheming to deliver the rush and an aggressive defense is much better than a timid one, like yesterday, against an elite QB. They might still beat you, but they'll shred you if you can't get to them.

KB isn't worth anything. Will probably be a FA after this year that we'll hopefully decline to sign. IMO, trading a player chosen team captain is sending the wrong message to the rest of the team. I think you have to hold onto him.

Rodgers looked way too comfortable in the pocket. IMO, the game plan against him was timid, aside from an occasional blitz - good one by Siran Neal. McD and Frazier were not scared of Kirk Cousins, as evidenced by the aggressive pass rush, but seemed terrified of Aaron Rodgers, as evidenced by little pass rush. The defensive plan appeared to reflect this; let the DBs cover their receivers and, for the most part, do not blitz or stunt Rodgers while hoping the DL could get to him from the base package. Aaron shredded the defense with this plan, just like Tom Brady will.

Teller or Groy should get a serious look at replacing Miller. Now what to do about Mills... Cut Lee...but, but Lee is this great blocker (still looking for confirmation of this) and O'Leary did nothing special (except catch passes when thrown to) or so I've heard Between internal clock and diagnosing safety blitzes, hopefully he catches on soon KB is a waste; ball hits him on the shoulder pad and he can't catch it

Good post...I agree with it. The only think I'd expect to see is a few FA OLinemen and WRs brought in. For the most part, what we see is what we'll get for the remainder of this year.

I doubt Mahomes would be any better in this offense. Better supporting cast in KC.

McD and Frazier are terrified of Rodgers. They were not afraid of Cousins. That's the conclusion I draw based on last week's defensive game plan vs todays.

Rookie mistakes will happen, but that last throw across his body to the middle of the field was a terrible decision.
