IMO in the body of work that I have seen. No.
He was purposely picked on last year by teams and got really exposed on occasions.
This year with the club he should not be on the field.
Marrone hasn't seemed to address the personal foul penalties. It seems out of control this year. We are good for atleast two a game.
Probably why the Bills are last in penalty 1st downs/game. Those hurt.
It seemed to me the ball was intercepted in the endzone with both feet down, tackled from behind which pushed him out the endzone. Shouldn't forward progress be the endzone and the call should have been a touchback?
Marrone is just another clueless headcoach on the sideline. Horrific in game management (clock, challenges) etc. Marrone is coaching up the most undisciplned team in football who are good for about 2 or 3 15 yard penalties a game and are 2nd in penalties in the league before today.
Why is he getting a pass from fans?
If we got this type of performance from Jauron or Gailey they would be burning him at the stake.
Not true regarding Gailey. Even when the team started 5 and 2, Gailey didn't get ahead of himself.
Does all the unsportsman like conduct penalties consitute a well coached team? We never have seen them to this extent before. They hurt the team more than falste starts and offsides.
How?
We have a losing record.
We don't win close games.
We don't win games in the division.
Tons of injuries and a lack of depth at multiple positions offensively and defensively.
Poor coaches challenges and time management.
Looks more of the same to me.
Just like with Gailey. If Johnson doesn't drop that pass, fitz doesn't throw that interception in the final drive, Jackson doesn't fumble in overtime.
The majority of games come down to a few crucial plays. No different than a lot of the Jauron games, Mularkey etc.
Like typical Bills seasons, they haven't won a game in a division. Losing close games like in previous regimes. With a potential loss to the Dolphins they will be 2-5 at the end of next week and 0-3 in the division.
Then we are due for the potential blowout losses to the Saints and perhaps the Chiefs. This Marrone team (just like Gailey's) got smacked around in the trenches against Jets. Then we play a similar type team in the Steelers.
The first year of Marrone is looking more and more like Gailey's first year. Yet Marrone inherited a MUCH better roster. Night and day better.
I have a hard time seeing us anything other than 2-9 3-8 before we play the bucs.
