Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football
Wayne Cubed replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are they doing proper track and trace and this coach never can in contact with players? So there wouldn’t be risk from him or any further infection? -
To the rest of the AFC, of course it makes a difference. That win could be the difference between one team making the playoffs and one team not. It could be the difference between the Bills getting the no. 1 seed and the Chiefs not getting it. And while the Bills fan in me would love that, they didn’t play the actual game that may have got them the seed. I would prefer the Bills beat the Titans, when it’s safe to do so, because I believe they can and earn that playoff spot or no. 1 seed.

I’ve stated it before but I don’t want the Bills to have a forfeited win. The Bills shouldn’t be given an advantage because the scheduling of when they aren’t meant to play the Titans, no team should. For all the fans that want the forfeit, would you be ok if the Patriots got a forfeited and the Bills miss out on winning the division by 1 game? What about if the Bills were to miss out on the number 1 seed in the AFC because another team got a forfeited win?

Apparently if it's a forfeit win, Bills players don't get paid... -

I think this game had to be cancelled at this point but I really am against giving the Bills a forfeited win at this point. Yes, they broke the rules but no team signed up for a season where one team gains an advantage by getting a free win. No team signed up for forfeited wins. -
The Bills having to change their schedule isn’t as massive as literally giving a team a W, without playing a down of football. And yea the Pats has to play without their QB, that happens a lot in the NFL. Injuries happen and you know what? They still had a chance to win the game. Do you think they would have considered it more fair to just forfeit the game?

How is giving 2 AFC teams a free W fair to the rest of the AFC teams fighting for a playoff spot? Let’s say the Steelers get into the playoffs but they do it by 1 win and let’s say the Browns don’t... how is that fair the Browns who will actually have to play the Titans? The only reason the Bills are getting a forfeit is because of when they happen to play the Titans. Would you be happy if the Pats get the forfeit win and that allows them to win the division for example? My thinking is, if it’s an NFC team, it has less playoff implications. AFC record and common opponents are more important than your NFC record.

But then what about the rest of the teams on the Titans schedule? So because of when they had this outbreak the Bills/Steelers get a forfeit W and the rest of the teams actually have to play the Titans? Wouldn’t it make more sense to give 2 NFC teams on the Titans schedule a forfeit W as it doesn’t have a bearing on AFC playoffs?

So the Texans straight look like an awful organization. They let O’Brien trade all those picks and Hopkins away... and now they step in?!? Haha.
