  1. Just went back and watched the first series of the game. 2nd play, puts his mouth piece in, run play to Boom Herron. Maybe he does it occasionally...
  2. I have no doubt Kromer could and would definitely help with the game plan. I just meant if it's a talent/fundamentals problem, the Bills are past the point in the season of fixing it. That's what training camp is for, where they can do various drills to help improve those things. Sure Kromer can spot break downs in fundamentals and point those out to the OL having the problem but I doubt there's time on the practice field to "drill" it into the player.
  3. I don't know how much having Kromer back will help. At this point in the season, the offense and offensive line scheme has been installed. The players on the OL know whats expected of them in the scheme, it's up to the to execute it. If it's an issue of blocking fundamentals then it's way way too late to do anything and with the CBA there just isn't time on the practice field to spend doing fundamentals. They need to install the game plan, practice specific scenarios, etc. I suppose maybe he can help identify problems during game day and help identify breakdowns but Anderson could do the same thing.
  4. No the one earlier in the game, think it might have been first half. He had room to step up and throw and he under threw it and allowed Gilmore to come back and break it up. Gilmore had his back to the ball, thought he might have been called for face guarding but they let it go.
  5. Agreed. Mariota had Wright? open deep after he put a good move on Gilmore and Mariota under threw him. It was a really bad throw.
  6. I love how Amendola puts his hands up in the air too. "Hey, I'm not doing anything wrong, I swear"
  7. All the early games were apparently.
  8. Haha yes! Also can the Bills please get at least a little healthy at the RB position. Watching Boobie run through mud is painful.
  9. I thought the same thing myself. He's here every week though, which I just don't understand if he's miserable watching it.
  10. I've switched my hat color today, hope this helps.
  11. We should probably call Julio Jones Mr. Glass too. In his first 4 years in the league he's played 1 full season.
  12. @AdamSchefter Despite being listed as questionable due to a calf injury, Bills WR Sammy Watkins is not expected to play today.

  14. And I think the point a lot of posters have made is, even last year at this time after 4 games, the Bills defense that became an elite unit, "were not there yet".
  15. Hard to tell really but I'm sure having Rambo out there has something to do with it. Apparently on the TD to Jennings and the TD to Randle he was in the wrong spot. They've effectively only had the starting safeties out there for 2 quarters, I believe. Graham missed all of game 1 and A. Williams went out in the 2nd QTR of game 2, I believe.
  16. Rendered ineffective by 2 opponents? Try one opponent. The Pats** and that's how it's always been, even last year. Missed tackles and penalties doesn't mean a defensive unit was figured out.
  17. I'd love to see where you got that information from. Rugby players have a horrible concussion protocol, it is no where near as good as the NFL at identifying players with concussions. New Zealand is the only country in the world to keep track of Rugby injuries. Places like England, France and Australia don't even keep track if a player has had multiple concussions. Hell I've seen a Ruby player get knocked out and go back in a game, this happened a couple months ago. Rugby teaches proper form tackling but that doesn't stop random elbows or knees or other body parts colliding with the person making the tackles head.
  18. And I'd say after 4 games last year people had high expectations, maybe not as high but there was a thread started about bringing back Pettine after 3 games. And the same things were said last year, I remember saying them, that 3 games weren't enough to determine anything. For me, the teams being played and the QBs the Bills defense have faced determine A LOT of how they can be judged.
  19. It's controversial Dave because you are completely ignoring the fact that statistically where they were last season with Schwartz 4 games in and where the Bills defense is now, are not that far off. And thats playing against Cutler, Rivers, Tannehill and Fitz last year. Of the 11 sacks recorded in those 4 games 7 were recorded against Miami/Houston. The Bills haven't even faced a team with a "Fitz" QB at the helm. As much as people like to ignore it, who the Bills are playing matters. Are we trying to say that the offenses of the Chargers, Bears, Texans are equivalent and should be measured against the Colts, Giants and Pats**. The Pats** have put a beatdown on all three of the teams they've faced thus far so they aren't equivalent to any team the Bills faced in the first 4 games last year and subsequently came in week 6 last year to Buffalo and put a beatdown on the Bills defense. It's funny but if you drop that week 6 Pats performance into the first 4 games and take out the Texans game, because the Bills haven't faced a QB like that yet, suddenly the teams defense looks very very familiar. Look at the numbers: If Pats** game was played in the first 4 weeks and Texans wasn't Points: 89 Pass Yards: 1158 Yards per pass attempt: 6.81 Completion percentage: 68% Sacks: 9 Turnovers: 5 Do you know where those numbers would have put the Bills last year at that time? I'll tell you. They would have been 31st in total pass yards. They would have been 28th in completion percentage. Hilariously, the 1065 passing yards that they actually did give up last year ranked them 26th and they stayed at that position roughly in passing yards until after week 8.
  20. Hopeful, I think you are looking at the wrong stats, especially only 4 games in. What did the Bills defense rank last year after 4 weeks? Yes, the Bills have faced the most pass attempts, I don't see how that makes them bad. The Bills defense is ranked 4th in YPA against and 5th in completion percentage against. The teams ahead of them have faced on average 40+ more attempts! They also rank 6th in QB rating against and that's after facing Luck, Brady and Manning. The Bills defense also has the 9th lowest 3rd down conversion rate. Look at teams in the top 10 for Total Defense(otherwise known as total yards). Chicago, is ranked 7th, yet they are giving up and average of 31.3 points per game. Tampa Bay is ranked 9th and they are giving up 29.3 points per game. Do you honestly believe those teams, with how much points they are giving up, are a better defense? How about we let teams like Denver and NY, who are at the top, play the New Englands of the world before we compare total anything.
  21. Ok and ? I see you've just looked at total yards. They've faced an average of 49 pass attempts a game. That's highest in the league. They are also the 4th best YPA against and 5th best in completion percentage against. Average QB rating against the Bills is 80.6 which is 6th in the league.
  22. He's been injured the past 4 season, including being put on IR in 2 of them, and he was injured in training camp. I'd say the probability of FJ being injured if he was here would be very high. Have we forgotten last season when CJ went down and FJ was going to step in and carry the load only to injure his groin. The Bills then had to lean heavily on Bobbie, which wasn't pretty.
