  1. Ok, lets say he doesn't come back until November. Does that make him a bust? Especially since the assumption is that after the surgery it shouldn't be an issue? Injuries suck, but if they are expecting this guy to be at least a solid starter for years to come, I don't know why people are freaking out about missing a little time.
  2. Timetable is ready for training camp, and I'd be a fan of them holding him out of harms way a little longer than that. Sucks, but I'm not going to freak out.
  3. Top FA no, but some team will offer him more money based on his production than we will offer, due to our money being tied up elsewhere. See Hogan, for example.
  4. So this guy is a bust now? For missing what? Maybe 2-4 games at the very beginning of his career?
  5. Glad it's getting done early, but a little disappointed with our 'research' that determined his shoulder to not be an issue of concern.
  6. http://www.gallup.com/poll/191504/majority-support-idea-fed-funded-healthcare-system.aspx Interesting poll numbers about single payer and the ACA.
  7. Plenty, and they tend to have the same disbelief. The 'average' American, though, has a great range of beliefs/political views, so the 'average' Americans I've talked to might not be the ones you're referring to. Obama was young, and relatively inexperienced compared to some other Presidential candidates over the years, I'll give you that. But Trump is on another level, imo. Running a business (some say unsuccessfully) isn't the same as being POTUS.
  8. I still can't wrap my head around America voting a reality tv star into the White House. But, I guess that's where we're heading.
  9. Wish more fans realized how important solid development is to most young QBs. Sure there's a small handful that can be amazing coming into the NFL regardless of the situation, but the vast majority depend on NFL level development. Mettenberger, EJ, Geno, etc were all failed in that regard, imo.
  10. I like and support Robert Woods as our #2. But I also wouldn't be opposed to an even better #2. Woods is a fantastic WR to have on a team, solid route runner, strong hands, hell of a blocker and competitor. He's not a highlight guy, but he is a productive guy, and every team needs a few of those to round out an offense. He'll be missed when he takes a larger contract elsewhere.
  11. I'll be the guy who prefers EJ, specifically because he's relatively similar to Tyrod in style, and has a year of experience with the offense, and better chemistry with the guys on the team, also seems to be very well liked. I'm really not into the idea of another offseason of QB competitions. I want to see what happens with everyone going into the season with a set spot, so they can focus on doing their role the best they can.
  12. I think it's unrealistic to expect depth players to be starting caliber across the board. We're going to have a couple weak depth spots. If we go out and get a second stud TE, that means we have to give something up elsewhere, imo.
  13. We lost some good players on paper, and added rookies in their place basically... its fair to say we got worse from an outside perspective... As a Bills fan, I'll hold on to optimism though haha
  14. I'd rank him anywhere in the 15-20 range, personally. I'd like to see more output in the air from him, and see him hit quick reads. Middle of the pack is just fine for now, hopefully he continues to grow and improve
  15. That's a whole hell of a lot of money.
  16. Let's just assume he's playing week 4. Maybe Shaq can end his career.
  17. Vags take a lot of abuse and punishment, and keep on functioning. Personally, if you're going to infer someone is weak by comparing them to genitalia, one should call them 'balls'. Get tapped on the balls, and we're all taking a 5 minute breather
  18. I still think JP could have been something in the right situation, he certainly had the physical tools.
  19. I say yes, when healthy. So it'll just depend on that. If he can play 14 games or more this year, that's good value.
  20. Nope. He's one of the better backups, at this point. And if he can erase some of the horrible development, he might even be starter material some day. He really needed the TT treatment coming out of college (sit for a few years behind a vet, with a good developmental coaching staff), instead he got... well... a **** show.
  21. On the insinuation that Goodwin has bad hands, I have to disagree, I think Goodwin is a good WR that just happens to be fast. He showed us his all around skill a couple years ago when Woods and Sammy were out for a couple games. When the other WRs are healthy, though, he's relegated to the deep ball, which I assume our new speed guy would be too. The only downside to Goodwin is his health/durability, that's it, really. If he could stay on the field, he'd be a damn fine weapon.
  22. EJ's playing for his career this upcoming pre-season.
  23. Surprised about Wynn as well, figured there'd be a camp battle, he's a solid rotational guy.
