  1. Vision can usually be corrected with simple lenses, but phorias and tropias require more sophisticated lenses called prismatic lenses. Each eye can have its own focusing point, then the fusion of those two images can be off vertically or horizontally. The "double vision" that results can make it hard to catch a football. But the football is also coming at you from far point to near point, adding a third axis. If "See More" still isn't able to catch the ball, it may be that he needs to get a more sophisticated diagnosis.
  2. This is an example of Gil Brandt's poor writing. He states a premise, backs it up with facts, and then in his last sentence, says the exact opposite of his premise.
  3. Zimmer I like a lot. I see some Kyle Williams in him. I've talked with his Dad and he's thrilled to be a Bill. Number one reason? He can learn from none other than Kyle Williams. He has a connection to Coach Blake and a couple guys on the team. He's quick on the uptake.
  4. I don't see how a 30-year old with short arms who hasn't played RT is an upgrade there.
  5. I think the Bills keep Shady, Karlos, and their backups JWilliams and James Wilder. Felton and Gronk are fighting for one spot unless they make Gronk the 3rd TE.

  7. You could be describing Shady when describing Jonathan Williams. I think JWill and Mike Gill have a Training Camp battle ahead of them.
  8. In HS and in College, he made his play in practice such that they were forced to find him a spot. It's going to happen again with plays like these. Somehow, Striker will make his way onto the field this year. https://youtu.be/5vt7fyi3rA8
  9. When Whaley said this, I thought we might have a shift in thinking. I expect Lawson and Hughes to still set the edge, but will have more permission to get after it this year.
  10. Chance of Making the Team or Practice Squad Great Chance Eric Striker, LB-S, Oklahoma as blitzing box safety, could be very effective. Another hitter. Aaron Williams is iffy, 2nd-best S, Graham, is 30. Glenn Gronkowski, FB, Kansas State – Local boy stays home Justin Zimmer, DT, Ferris State -44 bench reps was 10 better than Combine's best (Westerman) Good Chance Davonte' Allen, WR, Marshall - https://youtu.be/xZClITBrghA Marshall Morgan, K, Georgia -kicked a 57-yarder to tie a game, then a 40+ yarderin OT to win it. Loves pressure. Reid Ferguson, LS, LSU – accurate, and our LS is Garrison Sanborn, who turns 31 on July 31. Robert Kugler, C-OG, Purdue - former Purdue center Robert Kugler, who transferred from Orchard Park High School to North Allegheny, Pa., High School after his junior season. Dad is Sean Kugler, former Bills OL Coordinator who worked with Jason Peters, and Boise State when they went undefeated. Marquis Lucas, OC-OG, West Virginia - https://youtu.be/ajaFU698wKk What a great personality! Mature, has a child. Could back up or compete for backup spot. Wood is 30, Velasco 31. Only other OC is Ronald Patrick, 1st year man Some Chance Gary Chambers, WR, Arizona State – interview: https://youtu.be/yCI71qr8bXE tall, articulate, caught poorly-thrown balls, YAC Claudell Louis, DE, Fresno State - Honorable mention All-Mountain West selection … In the Mountain West, had 8th-most sacks (5.0), 8th-most tackles (47), 6.5 TFL (2nd on team), 5.0 tackles per game Bryson Albright, DE/OLB, Miami (Ohio) - #95: FF recovery=> https://youtu.be/tkHRxQjP8uw?t=57s Jamison Lalk, OL, Iowa State - http://www.desmoinesregister.com/videos/sports/college/iowa-state/football/2015/11/09/75493778/ Slim Chance Joe Licata, QB, Buffalo – poise in the pocket is huge, but not much mobility. Camp arm with Josh Johnson. Julian Whigham, CB, Syracuse – local boy from Cuse, played S because he wasn't making plays at CB. "(Whigham) was always in position, he just didn't make the play," Keith Lumpkin, OL, Rutgers - 6-foot-7, 320 pounds, 38 straight starts over his three seasons starting at left tackle. Combine snub, 8-7 in the broad jump,16th among offensive linemen at the NFL Combine) and the 7.74 in the three-cone drill (which would've been 5th in that position group).
  11. Shady now has a backup in JWilliams, and Karlos has a backup in James Wilder Jr. For camp, Felton has a backup in BabyGronk. Gillislee is battling JWilliams and will lose. One of the talking heads called Jonathan the steal of the round.
  12. See a cross between Karlos AND Shady in these moves...https://youtu.be/nwMOtrsDzLc #Bills A RD5 steal for run-first team. I think @Jwillpart2 Backs Shady, Wilder backs Karlos. Waive Gillislee.
  13. UB QB Joe Licata's best traits are football IQ and composure under duress. Impressed #Bills enough to sign him UDFA. Here's the best article I found on Joe: http://www.ubbullrun.com/2016/4/30/11528420/nfl-draft-2016-joe-licata-signed-to-a-tryout-with-the-buffalo-bills
  14. O C Robert Kugler: Described as a "Lunch-Pail Center". I like him already. Needs NFL weight room but lateral quicks to pull, vital for G-Roman 29m29 minutes ago #Bills sign Purdue OC Rob Kugler, 6-3, 294, 2x team capt, ex-Bills coach Sean's son, 43 consecutive games, played TE, pulls well. Good sign. I've been tweeting about this signing. He's likely to end up on the PS, but he's a nice addition to the G-Ro Offense. You likely remember the name as Sean Kugler used to coach here, Lockport native now head coach of UTEP.

Visits to Bills who are still on the board ~RD2-3 (not incl DE, OLB34): Bell S, Cravens S-LB, Reed DT/NT, Washington DT, Cook QB, Prescott QB, Hackenberg QB, Jones QB My Bills Grab List Jarran Reed DT34 Austin Johnson DT34 Su'a Cravens OLB34-S hybrid V Bell SS D Thompson Boise State FS JHawkins LT At Safety, #Bills have Aaron Williams returning from injury, Graham (age 31), and 4 justaguys #scary
  17. I wonder if Ragland is still as slow in RD2 as he was at 19... Still think RD2 is Vonn Bell. So glad to see Rob Quinn on TSW! Love your analyses on Twitter! Bloke and Bandit, you rock!
  18. Man, that's a good list for RD2...hope one drops. I'm throwing Adolphus Washington in there to allow for Dareus to slide outside.
  19. Hughes is the speed rusher, so the Bills needed the power rusher to out-perform Mario Williams. This power rusher —let's call him “Shaq”, shall we? —can work from a variety of positions—from the stand-up 3-4 OLB spot, from the five-technique DE spot (head up over the tackle), or from inside at a three-technique (between the Guard and Tackle). A successful (<b><a href="http://on.nfl.com/23UlwGo"target="_blank" >and confirmed healthy</a></b>) Shaq would have toughness, size, explosiveness, instincts, and athleticism. This is not a mere replacement. This is the <i>upgrade</i>. This Shaq finished 5th in the nation in sacks (12.5) in 2015. <b><a href="http://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2016/04/15/shaq-lawson-nfl-detroit-lions/83081858/" target="_blank" >“Shaq Lawson made Ronnie Stanley look like an undrafted Free Agent”</a></b>. However, what really stands out is that this Clemson guy topped the nation with 25.5 tackles for loss, and was second in the nation in "stuffs" for D-Linemen with 17. Film suggests that ACC opponents countered by running away from Shaq consistently, so his success behind the LOS is even more impressive. Another Lawson makes lots of sense. But we'll go with Shaq instead of Manny this time. Grade: A+

  21. I trust Doug Whaley more than most, and know he'll do the best for the Bills tonight, tomorrow, Saturday, and down the road. Here's the context for Draft Day. Over 2 years, Whaley has improved Bills coaching, with Greg Roman, Rex Ryan, Rob Ryan, and newbie Pro Bowler Ed Reed. His best coach signings may be veterans John Blake the new DL Coach and David Lee the Quarterback Whisperer. He scooped up a mobile quarterback in Tyrod, re-signed a Pro Bowl LG Incognito, traded for Top 3 RB Shady McCoy, outbid rival Fins for Charles Clay. In the 2015 draft, he got 3 starters out of a measly 6 picks, (CB Darby, OG Miller, RB Karlos) none of whom were a 1st-rounder. He cut a grousing superstar in Mario Williams, but re-signed speed rusher Jerry Hughes, extended Kyle Williams and Corbin Bryant, claimed Enemkpali, and signed T.J. Barnes (6'6", 364 lbs) to free Dareus to move to 5-tech. The draft will bring in a power rusher and another inside guy for depth. He added depth on offense, including Touchdown Mike Gillislee, James Wilder Jr at RB, and WRs Hankerson, Salas, Little, and solid OC/OG Velasco, He added depth on defense, including D-Linemen Edwards, Valles, and Reed, WILB Zach Brown, LB Lorenzo Alexander, CB Sterling Moore, CB Corey White, and S Colt Anderson. He extended Gilmore for a year to ensure he's fully recovered before signing him long-term, he signed vet DB Javier Arenas for a 1-year term as insurance, and extended CB Mario Butler. He had all picks signed by training camp last year. He made unpopular but necessary cuts (FredEx whose numbers had declined for 3 years, Chandler, Boobie Dixon). He dealt with 22 different injuries to starters in 2015 (Watkins, Harvin, McCoy, Karlos, Aaron Williams, Cierre Wood, Goodwin, Deonte Thompson, etc.). He franchised LT Cordy Glenn while they work on Glenn-Gilmore contracts in a more cap-friendly year. We're about to experience Whaley's ability once again to make the Bills better. Watch for a trade, a "WTF" pick that makes sense later on, passing on "your guy" that got all the buzz and picking a guy we didn't discuss, and a pick at an already-deep position that pans out yet again. All Hail Doug Whaley!
  22. I bet they can trade down and get Reed. Those that want Reed draft lower than our pick (HOU, GB,) except ATL BAL, JAX, and TB. ATL would take the higher-ranked Darron Lee over Reed, much higher-ranked on all Big Boards. BAL would get one of the guys falling out of the top 6 DL guys (Bosa, Lawson, Floyd, Rankins, Reed, Chris Jones). TB, JAX, CLE and MIA are the teams to watch. If one takes a non-DL player, we'll get Bosa, Lawson, Floyd, Rankins, Reed, or Chris Jones. TB could take their OT (either side) or any position on the D (DL, LB, S, CB) JAX could take ILB or OLB in lieu of the deep DL class. CLE could take Lynch, the top CB Hargreaves, or the top WR. MIA could take a CB or even RB. Trades from below us could foil our plan (namely CIN), but A'Shawn Robinson may also be on other teams' boards.
  23. Shepard to me is the separation guy, shifty, a darter. He is now what Braxton Miller will be in 2 years. Benenoch is 10th on my list of top run-blockers. a Junior who has potential. He blocked for Paul Perkins at UCLA. Whaley will make picks that keep his staff in place. Thus, no guys who fall out windows (Nkem), were suspended for doing ecstasy (Noah), or slap his girlfriend around (Leonte). Look at my sig. We're taking Reed in a trade-down. As for whom we will trade with, read this: http://buildingtheherd.com/commentary/2016-nfl-draft-5-trade-scenarios-buffalo-bills-explore/ I agree that Cravens isn't what we think of as a fit, and I'm not "all in", but Bills' interest is there. If they went Reed-Washington-Fackrell and wait for WR-QB, I'm in...especially if they traded down in RD1 or RD2. If they went Darron Lee-Shepard/Boyd-Fackrell, I'm in.
  24. My sig line hasn't changed for weeks. Still worth considering. But here goes: RD1 Jarran Reed DT34,DE. You had dinner with him in front of God and Everybody. Other candidates: Fuller, Michael Thomas, Shepard---We need a WR, Fuller=speed, Thomas=size. Shep=separation Watkins=can he last a season? Dark horse: Ragland ILB. Rex needs his David Harris, and the way the draft falls, he offers the most value RD2 Cravens OLB (4 visits). Hybrid LB-S too cool a toy for Rex. Other candidates: Washington DT/DE if Reed-Rankins not selected; Chris Jones, Bronson Kaufusi EDGE Other candidates: Germain Ifedi ROT, Kamalei Correa Cover LB, Vonn Bell SS Dark horse: Cook QB but I'm pretty sure he's not the guy. RD3 - Next Available WR of Shepard, Carroo, Thomas, or Boyd still on the board. Other candidates: Kyler Fackrell, Cyrus Jones CB (may be there RD4 but they like him) Dark horses: Hackenberg QB or Christian Westerman OG. I'll be a genius if they take him. RD4A – Yannick Ngakoue OLB34. Dark horses: Cardale QB, Killebrew SS, DeAndre Houston-Carson Listenbee WR RD4B – Kevin Hogan QB Dark horses: Spencer Drango or Pearce Slater run-blocking OGOT, Nile Lawrence-Stample DT RD5 –S goes here: SS Byard, SS Kearse, FS T.J. Green, FS Deiondre' Hall. Dark horse: Charone Peake WR (Sammy's roomie), Joe Dahl run-blocking OGOT, Dominique Alexander ILB RD6A -Fill-in pick. ---------Aguayo if he's still here, ---------Brissett if no QB taken yet, ---------Caleb Benenoch run-blocking ROT ---------Curt Maggitt OLB ---------Tajae Sharpe or Ricardo Louis WR ---------Thomas Duarte or Ryan Malleck TE ---------Elijah Shumate SS ---------Josh Tupou DT34 RD6B – ILB Antonio Longino. Another one where I look like a genius or a fool. Dark horses: Nick Ritcher, Gronkowski, Devon “Rockhead” Johnson FB/RB, Tavon Young CB --------Henry Krieger-Coble TE We're still planning on updating our mock after EVERY PICK! http://www.drafttek.com/2016-NFL-Mock-Draft-Round1.asp Go Bills! -Astro, DraftTek
  25. We'll again run a re-sim of all 7 rounds after every pick and trade. Same old place: www.DraftTek.com I will write the Bills comments, and quote bandit and Bloke at least once. I edit all 7 rounds of 32 comments (except the Pats hee hee)
