  1. Blocking--Especially for a Greg Roman offense. I see Woods blocking very well downfield, BTW. Treadwell is the best blocking WR, Hunter Henry the best blocking TE. Later on, Nelson Spruce is a good blocker. Pharoh Cooper is a good blocker, too. Geronimo Allison has blocking ability late Day 3. Separation--Sterling Shepard. Touted as one of the best at Mobile in gaining separation, and YAC receiver. Another plus: punt returner. Also Josh Doctson. He adds the height and "my ball" highpoighting that Whaley talks about.
  2. Thanks for checking it out. I'm very pleased that Jay Skurski quoted me for the first time last week when he talked about whom the draft sites picked for the Bills. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2016/02/17/mock-draft-roundup-iii/ We're going to start seeing this thread pick up steam as the Bills interview players at the Combine beginning Wednesday, and who goes to what Pro Day.
  3. Agree. Dodd is a guy who will shoot up draft boards and be one of the 5 most-overdrafted. One-year wonder, stats are skewed due to who he played against, very limited moves when he attacks. Value for Bills is at RD3#80, but he won't make it there.
  4. Our LB guy doesn't even have Perry on the list as an ILB. He's our 11th-ranked OLB34. But high character.
  5. Spoiler alert: Bills will snag Jaylon Smith in Friday's mock at DraftTek. Here's how it happens. 1 1 Tennessee Laremy Tunsil LOT Ole Miss 1 2 Cleveland Jared Goff QB California 1 3 San Diego Joey Bosa OLB34 Ohio State 1 4 Dallas Jalen Ramsey CB Florida St 1 5 Jacksonville Vernon Hargreaves III CB Florida 1 6 Baltimore Laquon Treadwell WRF Ole Miss 1 7 San Francisco Ronnie Stanley LOT Notre Dame 1 8 Miami Reggie Ragland ILB Alabama 1 9 Tampa Bay Noah Spence DE43 Ea. Kentucky 1 10 NY Giants DeForest Buckner DE43 Oregon 1 11 Chicago Myles Jack ILB UCLA 1 12 New Orleans A'Shawn Robinson DT34 Alabama 1 13 Philadelphia Carson Wentz QB North Dakota St 1 14 Oakland Shaq Lawson DE43 Clemson 1 15 Los Angeles Paxton Lynch QB Memphis 1 16 Detroit Taylor Decker LOT Ohio State 1 17 Atlanta Emmanuel Ogbah DE43 Oklahoma St 1 18 Indianapolis Leonard Floyd OLB34 Georgia 1 19 Buffalo Jaylon Smith ILB Notre Dame The Bills would have the enviable position of taking Smith (which they could do in a heartbeat), or trading it (6 other teams that haven't drafted yet want ILB before Day 3, and would pay dearly for Smith).
  6. Cooper's moving in on RD3, so here ya go. 1 19 Buffalo Jaylon Smith ILB Notre Dame 2 49 Buffalo Shon Coleman OT Auburn 3 80 Buffalo Pharoh Cooper WRS South Carolina 4 114 Buffalo Dak Prescott QB Mississippi St 5 144 Buffalo Josh Tupou DT34 Colorado 6 174 Buffalo Tyler Higbee TE Western Kentucky or Beniquez Brown OLB43 Mississippi State or Keyarris Garrett WRF Tulsa
  7. You'll like DraftTek's RD1 pick this Frriday morning [spoiler alert].
  8. Something like this? 1 19 Buffalo Ezekiel Elliott RBF Ohio St 2 49 Buffalo Shon Coleman OT Auburn 3 80 Buffalo Anthony Zettel DE34 Penn State 4 114 Buffalo Leonte Carroo WRF Rutgers 5 144 Buffalo Vincent Valentine DT34 Nebraska 6 174 Buffalo Vernon Adams QB Oregon
  9. Jalen Ramsey, obviously, if he's there at #19. I don't care if he misses games as a rookie; he'll be great. I really like FS Darian Thompson in RD2 (watch the first 6 plays vs Virginia here http://draftbreakdown.com/video/darian-thompson-vs-virginia-2015/ ) , and Su'a Cravens is a hybrid safety in RD2 that I like. Jeremy Cash of Duke could last until our RD3 pick, and would be tremendous value there. He's another hybrid S-CB Even though he wasn't invited to the Combine, Byard is a Day 3 (RD5?) gem.
  10. Good stuff. Hey, I'd use your Vines you post on Twitter a lot more if you named the player in your tweet. Thanks!

  12. Byard will go in RD4-5, but that's exactly when we should be looking at S.
  13. Scooby Doo-Doo. Anyway, he's going to go to a 4-3 as a WILL LB, so we're safe.
  14. Outside of DJ Foster, Ty Boyd has the lowest yards per catch of the next 19 WRs that will be drafted. To me, that's not a good investment of the RD2 pick it will take. However, Ty Boyd has the highest KR+PR yards, and we're likely getting rid of McKelvin and Harvin.
  15. Red flags for sure. If the Bills take a QB in RD7/UDFA, where Williams will go, they will get red flags. Williams is smarter than Cardale by a large margin, picks things up quickly, is more mobile, and won't be overdrafted like Jones. His red flags are he needs better coaching (check), needs better receivers who don't drop the ball (check), and needs a better OL (box still unchecked after 16 years).
  16. Mobile North Carolina QB who played lights out in 2014, sagged a bit this year with a dinged up team. From 2014: QB Marquise Williams, North Carolina: The Tar Heels' standout quarterback is playing the position better than anyone in the ACC, including the reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston. Williams has accounted for 18 total touchdowns (nine passing; nine rushing) in the Tar Heels' last five games while helping the team to a 4-1 mark during that span. Most importantly, Williams has given the Tar Heels' offense a spark with his explosive skills as a dual-threat playmaker and helped the team become bowl eligible for the third straight season. Although Williams' game isn't ideally suited for the NFL, the fact that he has accounted for 32 total scores in 2014 will certainly raise eyebrows in the scouting community.
  17. It's Scooby Wright's injury talking. When you evaluate. go back to pre-injury. If he can do that, he's worth a flier after RD2.
  18. Corey Coleman last 2 years: 207 targets, 17 drops, 138 catches, 31 TD =66% catch rate Will Fuller last 2 years: 211 targets 21 drops, 138 catches, 29 TD = 65% catch rate Treadwell last 2 years: 196 targets, 12 drops, 131 catches, 16 TD=66% catch rate Michael Thomas last 2 years: 157 targets, 5 drops, 110 catches, 18 TD=70% catch rate Tyler Boyd last 2 years: 252 targets, 172 catches, 14 TDs, 10 drops=68% catch rate
  19. I'm with you. Just say no the first 2 rounds with Vernon Butler.
  20. He's one of my favorite Day 3 running backs. I know the Bills have checked out Storm Woods.
  21. If the NFL is zigging, there's an advantage to zagging. Great research!
  22. I voted for late round RB as Shady Insurance. Keep the earlier pick for better left-side O-Line help, and you'll remain the best running team next year.
  23. Yes Yes to Prosise! One of my favorites! If they could teach him to block, he has the other skills! I do wish he'd head north sooner on some plays. https://youtu.be/kBnf-5U8KrY
  24. Rams at RD2#43. We have Paxton Lynch taken by the Rams in RD1, coming back for Thomas in RD2. Whoah.
