  1. Highest YPC against AP-ranked teams. Also highest yards per carry as a runner of the Day2 guys. But..short. That hasn't bothered Whaley yet. Would love a tall guy in Day 3.
  2. We have Kearse as the first SS off the board and at #25 on our Big Board. If Aaron Williams can't come back, Kearse is a good pick. There are players in position of need right around #19 that I'd rather have (Buckner at DE, Washington at NT), as I like some safeties later.
  3. This is cool stuff. I could see Kaep or RGIII in Buffalo, but I wonder how interested Whaley is at muddying the waters about whose team it is by bringing in "name" vets.
  4. He'll go Top Ten, for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if he made it to the Bucs at 9, but no further. Ronnie Stanley could go before Bosa as early as #1.
  5. Bralon Addison has declared, as has this guy today: Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell declares for NFL draft Yahoo Sports‎ - 3 hours ago After a record-setting junior season, Ole Miss wide receiverLaquon Treadwell has decided to move on.
  6. If you start with D-Line in your Bills draft, good things always happen. I had one trade-up and one trade-down to make this happen on the FanSpeak OTC: 20: R1P20 DE DEFOREST BUCKNER OREGON 40: R2P9 DT ANDREW BILLINGS BAYLOR 88: R3P25 OLB TYLER MATAKEVICH TEMPLE 114: R4P19 TE O.J. HOWARD ALABAMA 144: R5P17 QB BRANDON DOUGHTY WESTERN KENTUCKY 147: R5P20 WR NELSON SPRUCE COLORADO
  7. Make sure you watch Dak's Arkansas game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvNCg4RTfeo It'll make you his biggest fan--if you aren't already lol
  8. Not $10 million http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/
  9. The run-stuffer that you want late is Blake Martinez. Jared Norris is another run-stuffing thumper backer. Then take Von Miller and not worry about coverage LB for a decade. Read Rob Quinn's take on Floyd. http://buildingtheherd.com/nfl-draft/2016-nfl-draft-leonard-floyd-scouting-report-versatile-lb-for-buffalo-bills-rex-ryan-defense/
  10. If we take two OSU players, WR Michael Thomas and H-Back Jalin Marshall would be awesome.
  11. Ron Quinn, whose opinion I value on Twitter, says he's the optimum fit. Will choose him. Who knows how far Jaylon Smith will fall, but if he's there at 19, you grab him. When healthy, he's a Pro Bowl talent.
  12. Yummy Draft. Now I'm stuck! Here's what's fallen to us: 7 WR LAQUON TREADWELL - OLE MISS 11 DE DEFOREST BUCKNER - OREGON 15 DT KENNY CLARK - UCLA
  13. Miguel Maysonet. Boom Herron. Cierre Wood. Bryce Brown. Bronson Hill. Ricky Seale. We sure played some "dime a dozen" RBs this year, BB. We weren't properly stocked. Whaley won't make that mistake again. Boobie is comic relief, Gillislee dropped the ball after an impressive start,
  14. Foster started out at RB for the AZ Sun Devils but transitioned to a slot role this year. I see him in the Bills' offense as a 3rd-down RB/WR who can play out of the slot. Matchup problem taking one more defender out wider, setting the table for McCoy, blocking for Watkins, and replacing Hogan.
  15. I'd be all over this. A'Shawn is a real possibility and one of "My Five". I wouldn't be surprised to see two Alabama players in this Bills draft class. Derrick Henry is RD1 and 242 lbs, future Pro Bowler. Shilique Calhoun is RD2 replacement for Bradham. The knock on him is that, while he possessess elite awareness, he hasn't finished plays. Great example of that, but Calhoun will spoil read options and quick screen plays all day.
  16. Good stuff from Bandit. I am a Doughty fan if he's there in RD2, even [dare I say this] over Chad Kelly. I've seen where Hogan makes it to RD7 with the concerns GunnerBill just mentioned.
  17. Love me some Hunter Henry. Zierlein says:
  18. Try a BPA strategy on FanSpeak's OTC Simulator. It's fun. Rules are you have to take one of the top 3 players each round. You can go deeper if that position is filled by a previous pick you made. http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/ Here's mine, following those rules: 1: R1P19 NT KENNY CLARK--sack a game, studies film a lot, savvy, varied passrush styles UCLA 2: R2P18 DE SHILIQUE CALHOUN--Swiss Army Knife: plays RDE, LDE, 3-4 OLB, 4-3 OLB, some 3-tech, even drops into coverage MICHIGAN STATE 3: R3P17 OT JOHN THEUS--Georgia LT who could play RG RT 4: R4P22 WR DE'RUNNYA WILSON--taller WR who gets head around, has terrific body control, makes bad-throw catches routine MISSISSIPPI STATE 5: R5P17 FS MAX REDFIELD--Might be a need for Bills. If you have Premium OTC simulator, you can trade picks! NOTRE DAME 6: R6P17 OLB/DE YANNICK NGAKOUE--2nd in nation in sacks with 14 MARYLAND 7: R7P21 QB KEVIN HOGAN--Value pick here. Smartest QB who can be inconsistent, streaky, 65-66percent, upside, upset USC STANFORD No OT or OG ever appeared in the top 3 selections.
  19. I'm passing his name on to my boss, who will likely hand him off to our WR Analyst. Thanks!
  20. It's only a matter of which makes the most sense for Whaley in RD 1-2-3. RD1: TAYLOR DECKER. Zeke Elliott's bodyguard. Seasoned, a leader, tall guy, so needs knee bend. Kromer is good at developing that. At best, an LT, at worst, a Pro RT. Think Reiff. RD2: GERMAIN IFEDI. Has experience at RG RT LT, has great size, likely boots Urbik off team. RD2: JACK CONKLIN. I like him as well, but he's stricktly LT-RT, and may actually go earlier than Ifedi. RD3: JOHN THEUS. Georgia guy. Watch his tape. Guy has classic OL form, really gets "in his chair". Value picks include guys slipping to RD4. Bills have scouted OG LANDON TURNER, OG GREG PYKE, OC MAX TUERK, OC NICK MARTIN, OG CHRISTIAN WESTERMAN, and OG SPENCER DRANGO. Turner is an ideal fit for a pile-driving run game, and makes the most sense. Martin makes the least sense to me.
  21. That actually adds another RD1 guy. Which by my count, makes it 38! Duly noted. Cash is in "My Five", btw. I don't think Cravens is as ideal a fit for Rex's 3-4, and Jeremy Cash may still be there at RD2#51. If they don't take a "CB-S" in the first 2 days, I like Wayne Lyons who plays that "CB-S" role for Michigan. I don't think he makes it to RD6. 6-1 height, length, tenacity, Xfer from Stanford.
  22. I went back and checked my spreadsheet. They looked at Will Fuller. Robert Aguayo is the only one. He's also the only one that'll be drafted, as opposed to UDFA
  23. http://www.drafttek.com/teamneeds2016.asp Team Needs were updated 4 days ago by each team analyst. It shows no P1 need for WRF, 3 teams with P2 need, and 8 teams with P3 need. So twenty-one teams feel WR is not a pressing need this year. This will cause WRs to drop a bit, allowing some very good receivers (Travin Dural, De'Runnya Wilson, Tyler Boyd, and Leonte Carroo) to drop a bit. Some of these will be there in RD3-4. Why I like these guys in particular (I love the RD1 guys Treadwell-Thomas-Doctson in that order; just think we go line or LB in RD1): Dural: 19.5 ypc since 2013 ranks 8th in the FBS, and Whaley likes ypc. Will be sub-4.4 at Combine Wilson: tall 6-5, gets head around, excellent body control, makes bad-throw catches Boyd: played at Pitt, savvy route-runner, YAC, tall-ish, known for separation Carroo: Bills have indicated interest, assault charge was dropped but it will cause him to be drafted later, top Big10 WR, can do KR If Bills get a free agent, I think they wait until RD4-5 to get one of these guys, or Corey Davis, Burbridge, or Nelson Spruce in RD5-6. Braylon Addison is a guy the Bills have looked at as the "WRS"--speed guy-- in that Harvin role. Good mention! That's a new name for me. What do folks know about him?
  24. Parentheses are where they were on Drafttek's Big Board last time I looked in mid Dec) Looked At: WR TYLER BOYD PITT 32 WR MICHAEL THOMAS OHIO STATE 38 WR COREY COLEMAN BAYLOR 51 WR DE'RUNNYA WILSON MISSISSIPPI STATE 57 WR TRAVIN DURAL LSU 69 WR BRAXTON MILLER OHIO STATE 124 WRS BRALON ADDISON OREGON 133 WR LEONTE CARROO RUTGERS 142 S-WRF MALCOLM MITCHELL GEORGIA 240 WR CHRIS BROWN NOTRE DAME 364
