  1. Our next mock has him going to ARI at 29, a -10 Reach, meaning he's on our Big Board at 39. 1 29 Arizona Ryan Kelly OC Alabama P2 -10 Reach
  2. Yes, a priority. And, After Pick 80, these are the RBs who had the best receiving average this year: Kenneth Dixon Kenyan Drake Storm Woods Kenneth Farrow DJ Foster They'd all be available Day 3, I would think. Here's a wonderful review of many RBs, done last year by a Seahawks blogger: http://www.fieldgulls.com/2015/5/12/8590325/2016-nfl-draft-gems-running-back-preview
  3. Here's hoping they see/get value in one of the earlier-round QBs, and IF it doesn't happen, they resist reaching Day 3 and take a flier on a mobile UDFA. Marquise Williams, anyone?
  4. I don't have him at 50, but could see RD3#80...I think they'll look for a stouter NT rather than a DT43, allowing Dareus to slide out to DE34.
  5. Yes please to Rankins! They play a 3-man front, and he's one of the best run defenders among the DTs.
  6. RD4#111 to Oakland, with a Value of +29, meaning he was on the Big Board at 82 and slipped to 111, based on a lack of need for RBs this year. ...oh, and I agree. We'd be looking for a value pick anytime on Day 3, hoping to land another RB late. Just tweeted that they are: RD3: Collins, Booker RD4: Dixon, Howard RD5: AGreen, Madden, Prosise, JWilliams RD6-7: KTaylor, SWoods with my favorites being Dixon, Green, Prosise and J Williams. Bills are looking at Storm Woods; they've been to his practices/a couple games. Impressive Kenneth Dixon run: https://youtu.be/nFRttiMG9hM?t=24s
  7. I have done some looking at the Day 3 crop of QBs, and if Dak Prescott is already gone by our #114 pick, the Bills have only a slim chance of getting a developmental starter out of this bunch. Very Slim Possibility: I think Cardale Jones doesn't have the football IQ to learn this offense. He's less likely than EJ to run an NFL offense in the next 3 years. Some Possibility [in my order] Brandon Doughty has the quickest release, ok mechanics, very good accuracy, and has the best footwork of the Day 3 crew. He reads the whole field. His errors are most likely improved. Kevin Hogan is too likely to check down, is inconsistent, and is streaky. He disappears at times. I do like his intelligence; he could learn G-Ro's system. He's the anti-Cardale. Trevone Boykin is Tyrod without deep accuracy. He's improved completions ('14= 61%, '15=68%) and is the best dual-threat guy in this draft. Tyrod's 6-1, 215. Boykin's 6-2, 205. Travis Wilson has good size, but has been inconsistent (has played for 4 offensive coordinators). He can run pretty well, but looks like an ostrich doing it. May get drafted before Boykin. The rest are UDFA, in my opinion: Nate Sudfeld has worse accuracy numbers than Boykin, can't run, and looks severely average back there. Ceiling is Chad Henne.
  8. "Jones has great appeal for several reasons. He has ability as a DE and DT, and Rex adores the unpredictability of versatility. In addition, Jones has an infectious personality (imagine Dareus and Jones hitting it off) with stats to match; 32 tackles, 7 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks, and 3 passes broken up this year. He logged those stats despite frequent double-teams, which will be impossible with the Bills' D-Line. I have it on good authority that Bills scouts have been in attendance at Mississippi State games. " -Me
  9. Yeah, I think Elliott is for sure a different type of back from Karlos. That's an ideal thunder-lightning combo. Elliott brings a different skillset than Karlos to the table, but he's even different from McCoy.
  10. When this broke, I posted on my Original Buffalo Bills Fan Page on FB that this was now in play. A trade of McCoy to Oakland for a RD3 produced the following on DraftTek's Simulator: 1 19 Buffalo Ezekiel Elliott RBF Ohio St P1Grab +7 Value 2 49 Buffalo Darron Lee OLB43 Ohio St P2 +16 Value 3 75 Buffalo Germain Ifedi OT Texas A&M P1 +14 Value 3 80 Buffalo Anthony Zettel DE34 Penn State P2Grab +2 Value 4 114 Buffalo Dak Prescott QB Mississippi St P2 +10 Value 5 144 Buffalo Hassan Ridgeway DT34 Texas P2 -4 Reach 6 174 Buffalo Sean Davis FS Maryland P3 +3 Value
  11. I like the player and the timing--5th round is about right. Bandit's assessment earlier is spot-on. Quickest release among the QBs, and 72% accuracy makes it easy to say goodbye to EJ.
  12. Yes, either our RD1 or RD2 for more picks. Let Whaley's scouts bring in more mid-round gems. Darby was an amazing success story, and Karlos will be. Jury is still out on the others.
  13. Burgess took over the reins from our own Preston Brown at Louisville. My feeling is that Preston isn't as bad as he's made out to be, and he'll be fine.
  14. I have him at RD7#260, and right now we don't have a 7th-rounder. But compensatories are forthcoming.
  15. This will test Whaley's mettle like no other year. I think he and his scouts relish it, though. OT is a slam-dunk, but LT would need to be drafted/acquired by FA real early if a deal isn't done with Cordy.
  16. Road grader, strong, RT only, but upside is far better than we have in camp right now at that position. Work ethic is top shelf. His fight vs leukemia will give him the focus he'll need to succeed. If we dropped down in RD1 (for, say, a late 2 or even 3), he's the pick. I don't think he'll be the RD1 pick, and he'd be gone by the 2nd round. That's the only reason he's not on the list there.
  17. I think You have great taste. Jordan Howard's DraftTek's 6th-ranked RB, going RD4 #102. If we take a RB, it'll be a Preferred UDFA, and likely an injury that drops a quick RB off teams' boards. I have Brandon Wilds in that category. Speed and run style of Forte before injury. Another guy from a smaller school is Jacobi Green. Small dartting back. Speedy, balance, incredible change of direction impressive, shifty. Jhurell Pressley is a consideration too. https://youtu.be/jTmHsVygGvo
  18. Yes, he's one of six tackles I think the Bills are interested in. If he's half of Art Shell he's still a good pick! We could say he's on the half-Shell. In order: Round# 1-Jack Conklin Michigan State 1-Taylor Decker Ohio State (opened holes for Zeke Elliott) 2-Jason Spriggs Indiana (my most-likely, as he's a superior run blocker)--in fact, go here and read all about him! He was the pick assigned by computer this week. 3-Kyle Murphy Stanford (2nd-most likely) 3-Brandon Shell RT South Carolina 4-Pearce Slater RT San Diego St If we don't address RT in Free Agency, one of these guys is a Bill. If we lose Cordy, two of them may be.
  19. I'd be thrilled if we got Iupati...uh, Tretola in RD4, but when I look at upside for listed Guards, Tretola is at the top of the list. Don't listen to CBS. Do your own research.
  20. We have him at #114, which is almost exactly our RD4 pick. http://www.drafttek.com/2016-NFL-Draft-Prospect-Rankings/Top-College-RBs-2016-Draft.asp Which should be used for a tall WR or a playmaking WR. Kelvin Taylor is Florida’s first 1,000-yard rusher since ...Mike Gillislee in 2012. They were tough yards, too. It doesn't take much of a hole for him to pop through.
  21. Exactly. Bad news for the Bills, though, even if I'm completely right, we draft 49th.

  23. I have a list of 44 first rounders, if you'd care to see it.

  25. Keep in mind that Austin Johnson and Zettel were making it much easier for Nassib. The dude has talent, yes, and he'd be getting similar help on the Bills, but I still like Nassib's help better than Nassib himself.
