  1. I think PW will actually do well with the New Purple People Eaters. That's some D-Line. And since "Tom Donahoe doesn’t know what he’s doing down there" he might want to take note, because the Bills "don’t want to win". Here's their line: DE: Darrion Scott DT: Kevin Williams DT: Pat Williams DE: Kenechi Udeze-Lance Johnstone Why aren't they moving Johnstone to LDE?
  2. Prayers for a full recovery, Chris. --Astro
  3. It has been reported that the team may sign undrafted free agent kicker Matt Payne from BYU in the next few weeks. Many of you had Payne as one of the top 3 kickers in the draft.
  4. BBTW, I DID give your sig line to my friend who was burglarized, and he thanked me profusely. He's a professional storyteller, so he knows good stories! --Astro
  5. Only the Bills. I, too, will root for the underdog. --Astro
  6. Aussiew, let me first say that I love your sig line. I have copied it and given it to a friend who just lost $90,000 in a home burglary. I have copied it and sent it to my two sons. And I will copy it and put it on the table in my school's Green Kitchen. I'd go to the Ralph. It's like going to Mecca. Sure, you can pray to it, but nothing beats being there. My wife's ad agency, who does the commercials for the Bills, got it way right when they said, "Be There."
  7. In addition to his strength, I also like RP's vertical leap, which at the outset, can make CB's mis-judge how to play you. His vertical is 38", I believe. After they've seen tape on him, CB's will be better able to play him, but he could be trouble right away. I don't think RP is capable of being a #2, but I do think that he and Evans will cause the safeties to play deeper, which will benefit Moulds and McGahee the most. Those are the playmakers who will be singing RP's praises.
  8. Most significant stat: lowest interception percentage (2.73) in school history. If he runs off streaks of 98 paases without an INT in the pros, I don't think Holcomb will see the field this year.
  9. The men were worse than the women. "When a woman was in charge, 4 percent of the homeliest children were strapped in compared with 13.3 percent of the most attractive children. The difference was even more acute when fathers led the shopping expedition - in those cases, none of the least attractive children were secured with seat belts, while 12.5 percent of the prettiest children were." None of the ugly children? Are we men just unwittingly Darwinian?
  10. We're not paying Everett, because he pulled his Winslow and foolishly committed a dangerous act---trying to make a football move on Field Turf.
  11. So, due of the properrty of cohesion, which causes like molecules to adhere to each other, you are advocating oiling your balls for better bite? Mind In The Gutter, Rochester, NY
  12. In all seriousness, with his knees and arm, White should probably get a tryout with a team that has 5 guys on the O-line plus a TE.
  13. I have a problem with a hook. Will waxed balls correct the problem? Will I miss the pocket altogether? Or do you correct for the hook by the way you place your fingers in the holes? Mind In The Gutter, Rochester, NY
  14. I'm amazed by all of the errors in grammar, possessives, and even names (Everette?) in this article. They diminish the validity of the writer's opinions. Unfortunately, the writer has no editor, spellcheck, or reference texts. Fortunately, he (or she) likes the Bills.
  15. I, too, am concerned about our strength up the middle. The Bills have had trouble with heavier backs up the middle for years. Fletcher is undersized, and Edwards-Anderson are inexperienced. That won't stop the big back. Simon is one very attractive possibility. I just hope we don't gush all over him--and I hope TD doesn't either.
  16. I agree. I'd rather have a DT on the field than a whiner in the locker room.

  18. Corey Simon would be worth a trade for TH and a 2nd day pick, don't get me wrong--He was a Pro Bowl pick in 2003. But I wouldn't give up the farm and sacrifice our salary cap for this guy. Simon's tackles have dipped every year since 2000. So have assists. He had 4.5 sacks last year, which would put him tied for 3rd on our new line (Adams 5, Edwards 4, Kelsay 4.5, Schobel 8). His 26 tackles would place him tied with Adams, half of Schobel's (46), and a little more than Kelsay (22, 16 of which were 2nd half of the season). Let's not forget Tim Anderson, 305 lbs. who's waiting in the wings, and Ron Edwards, 320 lbs. Let's look the gift horse in the mouth.
  19. You may be old, but I'll risk that ignominy to say, "Any time of year...you can find it here..."
  20. Best line on the Fantasy Site: "Henry has been linked to more teams than Paris Hilton has to guys"

  23. No. that's called a "Ricky Don't Lose That Number."
  24. Donnelly was Smokescreen. Welcome to NFL Incorporated.
  25. Wow; that's good stuff! Educational research is telling us that boys need more real heroes that are male. Jim Leonhard is a real hero. I had no idea he led the NCAA with INT's recently.
