If you make this happen, do you go for Baas/Wilkerson? Or do you hope Teague/Tucker can do the job at C?
-
Banta PooDoo. I think we can make it without this guy. We'll be a little weaker with the Star Wars fans, though.

Market share is also a motivation, but click-thru's rule the Internet biz. The targeted ads are sheer genius, albeit a little Big-Brotherish.

I think we'll draft the best player available, ALMOST regardless of position. Get your good self a Value Board, because TD's got one, and his may look a little different, but for the most part, it'll come down to who's there at #44 (or 55). Late 1st's or Early 2nd's that might be there include: Ben Wilkerson OC --Allows us even more flexibility on the OL. C J Brooks OG -- A little less likely now that we have Bennie. David Baas OC/OG--I'd still like to see this one happen. Dan Cody DE--We have 3 on the roster. Anttaj Hawthorne DT--Shaun Cody early pick might send Anttaj down to 44. Rian Wallace OLB--Could supplant Posey or allow us flexibility at LB. Davis-Pool-Butler FS--Confusion in the order of picks might let one drop. Shazor-Nicholson SS--I like Rashad Baker, but either of these make it a dogfight. Webster-Miller-Rogers CB--One of these can still be there in most mocks. Honestly, if one of these is on the board, I'm tempted to take that pick, even if it isn't CB.

Interesting Article on Offensive Lines

"One of the most questionable signings of the free-agent period was the 49ers' giving $36 million to Jonas Jennings. The left tackle will make the 49ers better, but they could have used their money more prudently." I suggest a new wing bucket for the locker room. -
let's have a little auction for Hunter's Hope

Almost didn't see this (probably an argument against pinned posts). I'll start the bidding at $20. Astro -
I have Braylon Edwards right behind Mike Williams, with both being sure-fire NFL #1 receivers, but the proof won't be so obvious. If Edwards lands with, say, Chicago, and Mike Williams is drafted by San Francisco, Edwards would probably end up with double Williams' yards. Check out this summary of all mock drafts and where Williams/Edwards are picked: Draft Muncher -- Top Five in All Mocks

Couldn't agree more. It's ironic that the Slovak Orthodox Lithuanian faith has that ...uh...cross to bear, those initials can't be easy on the P.R. department (do churches have P.R. Departments, because quite a few could use them...).

We WILL sign this guy. My wife's hairdresser is S.O.L., and she was just at Pilar's daughter's baptism. They wanted to get the kid baptised before --yep--Draft Day. Pilar is devout S.O.L. And the only S.O.L. N.F.L city is...you guessed it, Buffalo.

He sure looked out of place during the Senior Bowl practice I watched. That said, I have removed him as my 4TH ROUND pick in my signature, replaced by Kevin Everett TE.
-
April will be showered with his award on Tuesday in Reno, Nevada. Last time I got an award, it was given in the WXXI building in Rochester. Just another example of the privileged lot that is NFL.
-
BTW, I'd take the 4th Rounder, and since I have already taken: Round 2---Chris Spencer, C Round 3---Jeremy Parquet LT Round 4---Kevin Everett - TE I'd take RB Kay Jay Harris with my extra 4th Round pick. Then take: Round 5---Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB (Wonderlic Boy from Harvard)

Mat Jones- Im impressed, wish we would take him
Astrobot replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have to wonder what would happen if you had Jones and Evans on one side of a formation, running deep crossing routes, and Moulds, on the other, running underneath that. Oh, and McGahee chipping a DE and then going to the side just vacated by Moulds. Clements and Mularkey would be drooling on their playbooks.... -
So who do you take from that 4th Rounder list if you've got Shelton in the bag?

Kay Jay Harris AND Jason Campbell? Let the debate continue.

Chris Spencer - Significant Interest
Astrobot replied to Buffalo Wing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've seen drafts with Spencer falling as far as 88th. What I haven't seen are too many Buffalo Bills private workouts. Is this part of the TD Smoke? I can't see! I can't see! -
Matt Jones is off my sig line. I have replaced him with Kevin Everett. We still need a TE in RD#4, although others I'd be ecstatic with in RD#4 would be Ronald Fields - DT Dan Buenning - OL Antonio Perkins - CB

Nodnarb, FYI: Seth BLANCHARD of Brookfield, MA was b. 1778 in MA, m. Lydia RICE of Sturbridge, MA 3 Apr 1804. Their marriage bans were posted in Brookfield, 30 Jan 1804 but his birth is not recorded there. They moved to Harmony, Chautauqua Co., NY ca 1804 where they had six children. Many BLANCHARD lines are well documented, including those of two other contemporary Seth's. Seth's daughter Lorinda married Myron BLY, son of Myron BLY. That should clear it up.

Who would you cut on our OL?
Astrobot replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with Frogger, although I'd like us to take a long look at Pruce and McFarland. Smith and Espo are probably gone. -

I did this a while back. The first day, we turned his wipers on and reversed the car in the same parking spot. The second day, we turned his wipers on and changed all of his stations to country station (he hates country). We moved his car a few spots down. The third day, we did those two, and put lipstick-stained ciggy butts in his ashtray. We moved his car to the other side of the lot. Add a few more if you like--the empty Thunderbird wine bottle on the passenger seat..etc... The second to last day, we moved his car to the front of the building (the tow-away zone). We photographed Santa Claus next to the car, holding a gift box. The last day, we gave him the gift box with his key in it! Astro

So you're thinking Spencer-Buenning?
