  1. I'm not too sure about the Oline --> Dline transition but he has the size...would be interesting to see...and fill a glaring need and at the same time not opening another...
  2. 1) Sam Bradford QB - Oklahoma 2) Brandon Spikes OLB34 - Florida 3) Eric Norwood ILB - South Carolina 4) Jared Veldheer OT - Hillsdale 5) Torrell Troup DT34 - Central Florida 6) Vince Oghobaase DE34 - Duke 6) Andrew Quarless TE - Penn State 7) Reggie Carter LB (but Dtek lists as QB??)- UCLA While I'm no fan of Bradford and am very much opposed to landing our OT in the 4th round, I do think this draft would fill some holes... Thoughts? DraftTek
  3. Where is this coming from??? In world is Lindell a liability in need of a replacement?
  4. Nope I can't...not this early haha sorry While I do believe Marshall is a great receiver, I don't see him performing like he did the past 3 seasons. Talking about WRs before addressing OT and QB is jumping the gun a bit. Plus, I don't know if Evens really wants to be here but I highly doubt Marshall will want to...do we really want to have to deal with "trade me" demands with Marshall???
  5. Yes! Release = give him a shot if he even wants to be here...
  6. What he said...I would be okay with trading Schobel is 1) he gives an ultimatum of trade me or I retire, or 2) you can get a high draft pick for him, other than those two scenarios I say keep him, who knows how well he will adapt to the 3-4 but he said it himself that he would be better suited for the 3-4 over the 4-3 Trading Evans??? WHY? If TO and Reed leaves, do you really want our #1-2 receivers to be Parrish opposite Jenkins/Hardy/Johnson
  7. Hmm killer is probably not the best word to use...actually got excited over the post title...way to deceive...
  8. Congrats Saints, Brees you've reached elite status as a QB (especially watching you on Sports Science reposted - CRAZY ACCURACY) Now it's time to get back to the project that is the Buffalo Bills offseason plan... Any idea/leaks/article about who the coaching staff is keeping/cutting? I believe this to be the 1st step before we can truly talk about our 2010 NFL draft plan.
  9. Nobody likes to lose...so I don't blame them. Peyton is Peyton friggin Manning...he is the epitome of class Anyway the way I see it is the game ended with Brees kneeling and the Saints winning the Super Bowl...let them celebrate...when someone wins the World Series or the NBA championship the other teams dont like up to shake hands... As far as I'm concerned once the game is over in a championship game the field/court turns into a celebratory stage. The losing team should exit stage left
  10. What's with people posting we should've had this player/coach, our drafts were blown because we didn't get this future probowler...it's just silly...having Payton most likely not have gotten us to the Super Bowl There are a million things involved in getting to and winning the Super Bowl...I say stop worrying about the past and be optimistic about the future... We were all calling for the removal of Jauron (done) and a revamping of the front office (done)...Let's see what this new blood can do
  11. I don't buy into this...yes he puts together a talented roster...but once that whistle blow it's out of his hands... Okay so he is in charge of choosing the HC...fine...but if they got to the Super Bowl then it's highly likely that they call a good game... Bottom line = it's the players that make or break a Super Bowl Think about it...if Payton didn't throw that pick or if that special teamer didn't let the football hit his helmet on national tv what would people say then...
  12. Agreed...which is why I hope this decision is taken out of his hands by the teams drafting in front of him... Can you imagine us on the clock at #9 with the following on the board... Okung Bulaga McClain Bradford Clausen NO chance of happening but realistically I could see one of the QBs, Bulaga, and McClain being available at #9...then what...
  13. Not boring at all...gutsy calls by Payton, Manning vs. Brees...what more could you ask for besides having Buffalo in instead of Indy... On a related note, I wish the game was closer (Arizona vs. Pitts) or at least Indy scoring on that last drive and recovering an onside kick...early on I really thought with Stover missing the FG and Hartley clutch kicking that the game was going to be decided by a last second field goal...
  14. On a non-Bills-future, totally for kicks, side note: Some people say they are going to go to Disneyland (like Randy Daytona)...and some make Dove ads in the shower... Drew Brees ad
  15. Congrats Saints! ...but now the real fun starts for us...the offseason...stay tuned!
  16. I love it when analysts give the Bills poor predictions, not giving them a chance...makes it that much more sweeter when we prove them wrong... but good god man, not from a Bill's fan...
  17. Let's just hope change to 3-4 doesn't turn out to be like the change to the hurry up offense...
  18. I'm a numbers guy and 50% (only 4 votes though), this we will miss playoffs and draft in the top 10 in 2011... We need more votes! to get a better idea of what this forum thinks
  19. I don't want him...old...drops too many passes...blocks other receivers from getting on the field (Hardy, Johnson)... It was mentioned in earlier posts, but does anyone know how/if we can receive draft picks is a team signs TO?
  20. Everytime I keep reading the forum posts I see suggestions for this QB that QB...develop this player...keep this one...draft for the future...draft a NFL-ready OT I am curious to find out what everyone thinks is really going to happen next year... I think once we figure that out, we will know how we should proceed with the draft/free agency/trades/cuts For example, if we are in rebuilding mode (I dont think we are) we better not brign in a guy like McNabb to horde snaps from developing qbs (Brohm)... Or, if we're going to make a legit run for the playoffs, then we shouldn't draft Clausen/Bradford, unless we think they are second coming of Ben Roethlisberger and his excellent rookie season...
  21. I am for signing any decent FA qb...not for trading for a qb that will cost us anything higher than a 5th round pick...we need these picks in the long run! Name me a qb that is the answer for the next +5 years? I think that's why so many are rooting for Brohm (24, have to wait a see), silently rooting for Edwards (26, untapped potential?), and turning away from Fitzy (27, not the answer long-term period) Just to clarify the following QBs that have been discussed on this board are NOT the long term answer (age in parenthesis): VICK! McNabb (33) Pennington (34) Garcia (39)
  22. RD1/2 = Bulaga/Cody, what I'll be rooting for, at least pre-combine/pre-cuts Actually am torn between Bulaga or McClain...would like 1 of 8 teams to remedy this by taking ONLY 1 of the 2...NOT BOTH!
  23. So this is the breakdown (I love data analysis btw) Feel the starter... -is already on the roster: 36.1% (35/97) -is in the draft: 20.6% (20/97) -should be had in a trade: 38.1% (37/97) -most of which is McNabb,Thigpen,Vick -will be signed in FA UFA/RFA: 5.2% (5/97) Interesting enough, no one voted for Fitzy...I agree...I would cut Fitzy over Edwards at this point... I hope this analysis isn't rendered invalid because people vote since I started calculating...haha
