There was more than one coach Marrone should have kept if he was this great NFL mind that Brandon thought he was but that's what you get when a baseball guy runs a football team !! He should have looked at what parts of the team were doing good & kept those coaches such as O line - Joe D , Pete Metzlars - TE , RB's coach & possibly others ! But choosing a coach with Marrones vast experience ... Well that's for another post !!

Ya but Rogers given a bit of time like in Indy could have done for us what he did for them last week maybe alls this coaching staff needed to do was have a bit more faith in the kid & he could put up a bunch of games with 7 catches for 190 . That is one thing this team doesn't do is take chances which Cincinnati is glad they took Burfict last year & the Cards are glad they took a chance on Tyrann Mathieu alls those 2 do is ball when they are on the field & once again they both sat there & the Bills passed on both !

Personally after last weeks loss & beating one of if not the worst team in the NFL EJ needs to concentrate more on his play and less on his celebration when he scores !! Maybe after he gets 2 wins in a row he can do his dancing but for now just show us why they brought him here as a first rounder & let the fans believe as much as the coach does the he will be the guy . Because I'm still not convinced especially with this win ! This one should have been a given & he only won by one score !!

I don't know if this has been covered yet because i haven't been on in more than a few days, so if it has been covered please forgive me. The last time i was on i had read a couple of posts about hiring Houston's ex HC Gary Kubiak as our own, but seeing as we have a first year HC i don't think that it will happen any time soon ... BUT !!! Seeing as we have a HC & OC in place & the OC IMHO is trying to do just a bit too much especially his first year as a NFL OC as far as OC/QB coach/what ever else he has on his plate, why not hire Kubiak to be the QB's coach & possibly the assistant HC like Gailey did with Wanny ? The only thing Hackett might get a bit bent out of shape, but it would give him more time & he would have to be on his toes b/c. One there would be a competition factor knowing that if he doesn't do his job well there is some one that can + there would be some one else with quite a bit of experience to bounce offensive ideas off of . Or not, b/c with the extra time he would have from not being the QB coach he could focus more on the implementation of the game plan & not be distracted during the week by having to pay attention to the QB's b/c they would be in more than capable hands . Kubiak would have a lessor role which would be good for his health & we would have another set of experienced (championship winning) eyes on the offense to teach championship ideas & to hopefully turn things around quicker . Kubiak would basically be doing the same thing he did in Denver for so many years while helping them to a Championship or 2 . And heck Hackett along with Marrone might pick up on some stuff along the way ... Well there you have it . I've heard of a lot worse things come down the pike in B/Lo so what do you all think ? Again IF this hasn't already been discussed ? Carry on !!

Yes he definitely has all you said but the 3 most important things you need to be a above average NFL caliber QB is accuracy, consistency & decision making which is where EJ has lacked in his college & now his NFL career . I hope he does make that jump next year but i still think we need to draft another QB this year b/c the class is heads & tails above last years class & if for no other reason than to put a spark under EJ's A** to compete at the highest level then we need to draft another QB !! Plus it would be smart as a security blanket JUST INCASE EJ isn't all they thought he would be & turns out to be another Jamarcus Russel & never comes around . Smart teams has 2 good QB's look at what the Bears have with their #2 McCown thats what we need !!!

I would have liked to see what Gailey could have done with this kind of talent added to his O & Pettine as D coach ! I think Fitz may have been able to get us closer to the playoffs than what we are now & we would have had his services while paying him rather than not having him & having to pay him any way !!

Heck bring in Jason Campbell all the guy does is play ball & is way better than any one we have had here in a while !! We could go back to the old ways keep him around for a couple of years to win some games & teach the young guy while he sits on the side line watching how it suppose to be done ... EJ although a good guy is not the answer a rookie should show a lot more even in a lose than what he has collectively to this point & i for one don't see it !!

Especially if he has his dad in his ear ! But if i remember the elder Hackett wasn't this huge offensive guru was he ? I mean i do remember him & he was a GOOD but not GREAT offensive coordinator kind of what we all thought of Wanny as a D coordinator !!

If they keep playing this way they could be moved to LA by 4:25 in week 16 !!

Of course it will but as long as the Bills take the LB out of Buffalo in the first that would be cool but we need to get another QB !! In the words of another coaching rant of recent history " EJ is what they thought he was" I just hope the FO of the Bills realize it & don't show the unwavering commitment to him that they have shown in the past & realize what they need to do moving forward ...

Agreed some of the rules such as the having control through the process of going to the ground is the most ignorant rule they have implemented in the history of the game !! If you have possession when you hit the ground END OF DISCUSSION !! weather you lose it after you role or not your down & other rules interfere with the what we came to love as the NFL !! Not to mention free agency has done to ruin the game i believe that was the beginning of the end for me but all the other things have just helped . I am so discouraged with the leadership of our team & the stupid decisions that they make then try to pass it off to us as good sound football moves ???

Well if you are wondering just what the heading of this post is about i will tell you, it has to do with GOOD coaching of which we have seen a lot of over the last 10 years in our division & actually applies to more than one of the coaches in our division, but i named it according to the best in our conference. It is What Would Bellicheck Do With THe Bills in Another NFL Dimension ?? So i ask you if next year we lured Bellicheck away from the Pats (which that ain't happening) what do you think he would do to make this team better ?? First off i think he would have a sit down with Brandon & tell him to keep his nose out of things he knows nothing about ! Then he would have a sit down with the Whaley & tell him how he plans on the 2 of them need to work together to build this team into a winner & one of the first actions would be to almost completely change the scouting department b/c until this year they have failed miserably ! Then i think he would start to move a bunch of players - 1 starting with Stevie J not mostly b/c of his play but b/c of his injuries & i think he would trade him for a draft pick to add to the WR corp that we do have. I also believe that TJ Graham would be the next casualty b/c of his inconsistency at the position. He could move him as a kick returner do to his speed but that is the only way he stays around . I think in his evaluation of the team as a whole he might get rid of A Moats, possibly Braham & a out side possibility of trading K Williams not b/c of his play but b/c of his age, injury's & to save some salary to bring in others. Then i think he would redo Mario's contract for the short term so he could bring in other players to make the team stronger . There are my thoughts if there was a possibility of this happening in another dimension cause we know it ain't happening here !! What else do you think he might do in this dream ??

Since i have quit watching the games my depression has been much less . My therapist says if i quit reading about the Bills that i have a good chance of my alcoholic tendencies to subside . And they said if i quit all things related to the Bills that with in one years time my chemical dependencie, alcoholism, depression, & dreams a grandeur (the Bills going to the play offs) will be completely gone & i can be released from the facility that i am now committed !! But hey I am a die hard Bills fan so i will now start on my next 12 pack !! GO BILLS !!!

But Brandon & company did a exhaustive search to find the perfect HC to fill the position ??? Given what the QB draft class was last year & us taking one in the first round missing the prior 2 years on Dalton & or Wilson in the later rounds we need to take another QB this year b/c the class is so good ! Or we could do what we did prior to this year & sit back & just think we have our guy & wait another 2 or 3 years to find out we have screwed up !!

Ya but what has happened after those first 4 games ? To this point Wilson has smoked EJ b/c he took his team to the play offs & EJ has flat out STUNK all but the one game against the Jets ! If the Bills front office believes that they have found their franchise QB & don't draft a QB out of this years class (b/c it is just better all around than any of the QB's that came out last year) they are as incompetent as it was before !! Or they have been hangin out with the Toronto mayor smokin something ... EJ came out with a lot of questions & has now shown why those questions surrounded him . Even Fitz is higher in the QB poles this year than EJ so what does that tell you ?

I hope we draft the LB out of Buffalo that every one is talking about & also another QB b/c the jury is still out on EJ especially after last week & now what he has done this week i just don't see it ??? If EJ goes down any further than what he is all the fans here will start saying good things about Tuel again !!

No if we did EJ would be another 3 or 4 years from being a decent QB, at this point he is only 1 or 2 years away from being decent !! HA !!

Hey Hey Hey - can you say - Lil Donte - could be on the way !! NOT !!

Never really did like the pick where he was taken thought we could have done better for the team but it is what it is now . I don't foresee Manuel becoming Tom Brady he just has to many things to fix that were there in his college career, & he didn't have Russel Wilson type stats as far as yards & accuracy in his college career. I could be (& hope i am) wrong about EJ b/c he has the arm strength , leadership qualities & is a outstanding guy but there are a lot of those guys that are back ups or retired from the NFL ... I hope we look real hard at some of the QB's coming out this year !! My personal favorite although he is not a "prototypical" NFL QB as far as height & such but he has what i think is that IT factor the same as i thought about Russel Wilson. Taj Boyd has shown great leadership skills & more than anything thte ability to lead a team back when they are down in huge games, who ever gets this kid is going to have a great QB for a long time !! I just hope we don't lay our entire future in the hands of EJ & close the door to others that could be there for the picking like we have done in the Bills past with the draft !!

Not to mention that with the home crowd & the elements at The Ralph we would have had a better chance at a win due to the players being even more pumped !!!

Was reading a article connected to rumblings which involved analytics of which Russ B. has said he implemented a new department with in the organization devoted to analytics to help deciding how the plays or play of the team adds up . Well PFF which is always doing these kind of studies did a analytical study on the accuracy of the QB's in the NFL & to this point the worst QB in the NFL as far as accuracy is concerned is (drum role please) GUESS WHO ?? That's right , our very own EJ !! Which was one of the knocks he had coming out of college . The only good thing is, is that he is in good company . Tom Brady , Eli Manning, Andrew luck & other quote elite NFL QB's are all in the lower half of the study too, which i don't know that that in it self would give the study any legs to stand on. Especially seeing as 2 of those QB's I mentioned & others in the lower half will more than likely be in the play offs .. I know this isn't the end all be all with EJ & he is in his rookie year, but i think it wouldn't hurt (as other GOOD teams do) to look hard at this years QB class coming out, b/c it is said that this is a really good class . And a security blanket never hurts !! If for nothing else if one of these guys should fall to our pick to pick him up for competition & if EJ continues down this path of inaccuracy or doesn't progress as they had thought he would to have another good option going forward . (Seeing as the Bills fans have already sliced & diced Tuel to bits & have thrown him into the ranks of the Jamarcus Russels of the NFL . Which is another entire discussion in & of itself ...) But !! I was just wondering now that our season will basically end at the given time of the scheduled season & there once again will be no post season what if any conversation that this article may bring in this the 2 Bills drive community . To answer your question with a question , how good would this DB squad be & how many INT's would Byrd have if he started the year healthy & if he was in OTA's & mini camp ?? If he wouldn't have had his contract thing going on & been there from the beginning & been healthy Byrd would have been a huge factor in this D & would have been in the pro-bowl again as a hands down starter not a second !! Players like Byrd come along seldom so yes we should do all we can to keep him in a Bills Uni !!
