  1. not saying that's what I want b/c that's the exact opposite. but, if mcnabb is on the market, they're going to want a ton in return.
  2. would rather have mcnabb than kolb at this point -- even though it won't happen. kolb could turn into a rob johnson situation and set us back a few years. yes, kolb played well this year when mcnabb went down, but remember those brilliant games johnson had in jacksonville? too risky for me.
  3. that's the problem w/ draft guesses. most of these guys don't know a team as well as knowledgeable fans do. we all know what we need to do in this year's draft, and when it comes down to it we'll take the best player on the board to fill either OL or QB.
  4. yes, but, the RB pool in the draft is not as strong as in year's past.
  5. They would probably want a draft pick too... at least a 3rd rounder. McNabb still put up great numbers w/ pretty much rookie receivers and he's a marquee name. But, they do have an issue b/c they have three QBs: McNabb, Kolb and Vick. One of them (any maybe two) will go somewhere next year. My guess would be Vick.
  6. I think your assessment is accurate, but, this should have been done five-years ago, and properly. That's where the beef is w/ fans.
  7. HE WAS THEIR FEATURED BACK AND THOSE WERE HIS NUMBERS? AWFUL. PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING W/ THAT. MM numbers were actually just as good/bad: 384 yds 4.1 ypc; 26 rec. 210 yds., 2 tds. And yes, I honestly believe Lynch's numbers in Detroit would have been much better, since he's better than both of them. ML is more explosive and a harder runner than KS. Smith has problems hitting the gut b/c of his speed/strength. ML's numbers were an anomaly this year. Smith's 2008 numbers somewhat deceiving b/c he got a lot of 4th quarter meaningless carries when they were getting creamed. Watch some more Detroit games, and then we'll talk.
  8. JG would be great here, but Lynch is not like Barber at all -- especially in size. And Jackson is nothing like Felix Jones. Felix Jones is incredibly fast (probably only second to CJ) and we all know that Jackson does not have the break-out speed. If anything, both Lynch and Jackson play like Choice. Granted some of that is due to terrible play calling, but nonetheless, neither of them possess the inherent talent of Jones. As for Austin/Evans... not even close. Evans has more of a chance being a Andre Reed type player, especially b/c he's getting older. Austin has lightening speed and finds open pockets -- I didn't see that w/ Evans this year. Austin's yards after reception this year were insane. Evans has never done that.
  9. Yes, I watched almost every game Smith played and it was not good. The guy had like three TDs and averaged like 3.4 yds. per carry. Not good for an every down back. Maurice Morris looked just as good, if not better, than Smith did this year. As for the TO/Lynch thing -- you saw exactly what happened, TO was shipped out when he acted up. Plus, Lynch is no TO. TO proved himself on the field, and had no off-the-field issues, like Lynch. The Eagles players/coaches would be able to be a good influence on him. Don't think my argument is weak at all.
  10. we also don't have larry centers. he was a monster as an outlet guy -- his stats were sick. was sad to see him go.
  11. missing my point: his stock his higher right now than it's ever been. his stock will drop if warner retires, and perhaps his chance of being a head coach.
  12. He may be looking to get out too, especially if Warner retires. Don't think he wants his stock to drop w/ Leinhart leading the team.
  13. once again, it is not happening: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4816179 andy reid will not change his mind.
  14. wow... look how it easy it was for Seattle. Seattle? jeez... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4814933
  15. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4816179 not happening
  16. he holds onto the ball too long b/c he does well when he's rushed out of the pocket to create a play. downside of that is he gets sacked a ton, whereas peyton just throws it away.
  17. that quote from cowher seems to me like there is little hope he comes here.
  18. has TT mentioned anything of the 15th since dec.? god, i hope it's not the uniform thing... what a let down that would be considering everything is soooooo up in the air w/ the organization.
  19. different team and players. his reliance on one player was completely evidenced this past week, even w/ moss, watson and faulk. you didn't see warner choke w/out boldin.
  20. look where they are now, and where the titans are. i think they're happy w/ their decisions of building playoff caliber teams. what does 2000 yds. rushing mean when you lose your first 7 games and not make the playoffs? Nothing. all of those teams filled voids they thought they needed. but, do you really think baltimore regrest drafting flacco? or dallas w/ jones?-- chris johnson would be getting just as much playing time w/ barber in the mix. of course, you create could-of would-of scenarios, but there are many more LB and RB busts in the 1st round than there are Chris Johnsons stories.
