  1. The common denominator is that all the teams that were used as examples had average or below average quarterbacks for the years cited.
  2. I think they will sneak into the wild card this year.
  3. I wish we could throw to him during a game.
  4. We won't do any worse than we did last year. Six or up. When has the Bills fortunes ever been decided by the other team? It's always about implosion with the Bills. I'm not worried about the Jets with Holmes or the Dolphins with Brandon Marhsall. The Bills secondary is one of the best in the league. Stopping the run, on the other hand...
  5. Why would the Bills use a second round pick on one of the units where there is an identified starter? I know depth is important, especially with our magnetism of injuries, but why not spend that extra pick on the lines or linebackers?
  6. Yeah, Narwocki has been pretty accurate.
  7. I think it's McCoy. He's played more, definitely won more. He's got the leadership and he can run the ball when needed. Very impressed with his pro day.
  8. The talk about "lost" seasons makes me laugh. Obviously comes from people who never played competitive sports in their entire life. There is no such thing as a "lost" season before it even starts.
  9. Is Buffalo any worse than say Green Bay? Or Philadelphia? Or Kansas City? I live in PA (Lehigh Valley) and I can't figure out why anyone would want to come play in Philly. I would say though that Arizona improved it's attractiveness as a FA destination by building a domed stadium. I attended a Cardinals game in that relentless heat, and the heat on the field was even worse.
  10. I am impressed by a couple things. 1. The unified GM/Head Coach relative to building the team. 2. Solid choices for GM and HC. 3. The addressing of the conditioning and injury problem. I think those two guys will pay immediate dividends in keeping the starters on the field and off injured reserve. 4. Sound FA decisions. As a fan, I may be in the minority on this one, but I don't feel as if things are the way they've always been. I sense change.
  11. Who says Rob Johnson isn't a better coach than quarterback? It's possible. I think Colt McCoy would be a solid pick. In the world of possibilities, if I had to pick a quarterback from this draft class, I'd go with him.
  12. I see the Texans trading up with the Bills to get Spiller. I think it's very likely the Bills trade down.
  13. I've always wondered if some players, especially WRs dog it at pro days and the combine to be drafted lower, to hook up with a solid franchise. I realize they lose upfront money by doing this. However, would you rather play on say the Rams or Lions, and be a good player because you're talented, but due to the limitations of your supporting cast, coaching, etc., you don't get the passes and touchdowns you would if say you dropped to the Patriots, etc where you have a quarterback who can get the ball to you, the team is playoff caliber, and where you could put up significant stats leading to a healthy payday.
  14. I thought we fired Dick Jauron. Now we've got to worry about the spirit of Jauron floating in and out of players at press conferences. You'd think Chan and Buddy would have run that over in the General Lee by now.
  15. I don't think Parrish sitting on the bench during Jauron's tenure is an indictment of Parrish's ability...but Jauron's coaching. Same goes for Lee Evans and the Tight End position. Lee Evans is ultra-talented, and I believe Shawn Nelson is as well. I think both will benefit from the new coaching philosophy.
  16. Yeah I don't think the Rams are in St. Louis for long either.
  17. That is a trade I would love.
  18. The entire league should do throwbacks for an entire season. Each team picks one home throwback, one away. They would make so much money, they'd need to dump truck it out of stadiums.
  19. Of course that's his preference. It's been his preference all along. It's just that the front office in Philly prefers for him to be somewhere else. :-) McNabb wants his $6.2 million dollar bonus or to be cut. He's pulling an Amare Stoudamire, killing deals because he won't sign a contract extension.
  20. "If" McNabb agrees to a contract extension, I see the deal getting done. I don't think any team is going to give up a second or third round pick for a year of service. I wouldn't be surprised to see the deal ending up to be a 3rd and Whitner.
  21. Haha! Love the JP Losman citation. If I were the Bills, I'd run away from Clausen as if there were a pack of zombies running after me by just reading that. Dawn of the Dead was an underrated movie.
  22. I don't think we will see the playoffs this year, but I think this team will be competitive. We were 6-10 under the likes of Jauron/Fewell with nearly the entire team being guys picked from the stands at 12:30 before the game. Looking back that was a modern day NFL miracle. I think it will be a promising year. I'm a fan who feels we have a coach and GM with their heads screwed on straight, for the first time since the early 90s.
  23. I concur. Was hoping for a better showing than that. Ouch.
  24. He's another quarterback that has a lot of trouble playing against the 3-4 defense. I'll take my chances with Chan being able to do something with Edwards or Brohm, and a draft pick.
  25. I've got no problems with how free agency has gone so far for the Bills. I think it's been one of the more solid free agency periods this team has had in years.
