  1. If we go 3-13 or worse, should we "Can da Chan"? If you field an NFL team, and manage this feat, you deserve to be canned. I realize were bad- But come on now. Its not like we were 2-14 last year and god awful. This is an NFL team still, and even bad ones should get 5 a year. You expect improvement when you fire a coach, and again I get it takes time to rebuild a franchise, but I dunno. I have yet to see any improvement (except for QB, cause Trent is gone). I like Chan, but think 3-13 or worse he should be fired. Even after only 1 season, especially if they continue to play this bad and dont show any improvement as the season progresses.
  2. Why not trade for Jared Gaither? hes likely to go to the IR, but if the price is right why not? hed be an upgrade at RT next year at the very least, at best you get a pro bowl caliber player. They seem to be doing ok w/o him, so maybe he can be had on the cheap. Spend our 2nd rd pick on another tackle and our O Line might actually be decent for Locker/Mallett/Ponder next year... Just a thought
  3. PTR, not that I have anything against you, but it seems like 99% of your posts are similar to this one. Sarcastic, "Im smarter than you", "youre going back on your word" now stuff. Not everybody said Kolb sucks, bust, yada yada yada. Your posts rarely contribute to anything. Why post at all just to post garbage like this? The people posting in this thread are likely not the ones saying Kolb sucks, If anyone even did. Again, not attacking you just wonder why you bother posting this stuff. Anywho, Id think Vick, if either of the 2 would be available. It seems like Reid likes Kolb and hes his guy. ESPN insider had Lee Evans trade rumors on it today. Now that DeSean Jackson got hurt (dont know the severity of it but he was down for a while), what do you think of a trade involving Lee Evans and Vick? Maybe worth pondering....seems like both teams might improve with this.
  4. I agree. I kinda root for the giants a bit though, since theyre in the NFC. And only because in college I lived with a few Long Islanders that were huge giants fans, and going to cortland you got to see the bills and the giants games every week. We had side by side TVs in the living room, so I kinda was forced into following them and have since quasi rooted for them. But to say you are "giving up" on the Bills shows your true colors. The Bills will always be #1, no matter what. And BTW to start a thread saying you are leaving an anonymous internet message board, when no one cares, is pointless.
  5. Edwards should get canned this week. Our D has been nothing short of Terrible, and while I realize we dont have the most talent, George Edwards' D has been inexcusable. He has to be fired, anything less would be yet another epic fail for this team. If this is a "rebuilding" year then cut our losses now with him and bring in someone else, and lets rebuild with someone whos D doesnt allow 30 a game. And yes, I know we switchd schemes, and we lost our ony decnt pass rusher, and our offense rarely sustains drives. But there is no question the blame falls squarely on Edwards shoulders. This is still a professional football team, and under no circumstances should they be allowing 30 points every game.
  6. Evans will not get a 2nd round pick. And also our defense has allowed 125 points in 4 games. Thats over 30 A GAME. We need a real 3-4 OLB, not a converted 4-3 DE. This is as big a need on this team as QB, LT, RT, C, NT, ILB and WR. this team has maybe 10 players worth a damn. But the 3-4 is built on pressure on the QB, and we have none.
  7. From ESPN and John Clayton's QB rankings "31. Trent Edwards, Buffalo Bills Analysis: Call it deja Bills. When Edwards entered the league in 2007, the Bills were a bottled-up offense desperately looking for receivers who could pull coverage away from Lee Evans. Edwards' lone target remains Evans, but the offensive line is now much worse. Chance of being elite: 0 percent" http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview10/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=5489176 No chance of being elite. If John Clayton said it it must be true right? Lets cut him now and trade for Leinart, or Byron Leftwich, or Jason Campbell, whom are obviously head and shoulders better than Trent.
  8. When you eat in Cortland, you eat at DP Dough. When you drink in Cortland, you do it at the Dark Horse. And finally, when you stay in Cortland after you graduate, you become a townie. I miss college...
  9. I dont think anyone on here annointed him...well in this post anyways. Jake Locker 2011
  10. Nice post. Its hard to argue any point you made here. I really hope youre right, and Trent steps up in a big way. But, I just dont think he will. I think he just doesnt have the proverbial "IT" from what ive seen. Hes not gutsy, or a gunslinger, or a vocal leader (at least doesnt seem it) and these things are hard to teach. I really hope he does, but my gut tells me we will be drafting a QB in round 1 come April.
  11. Me too. Hes the real deal in my professional never wrong football opinion. But seriously, he is.
  12. PFT chimes in: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...-bills-starter/
  13. I as a season ticket holder even, can honestly say Id rather the bills be competitive and go 3-13 than blah again and squeak out 7 wins. Simply because they would have an honest shot at a real QB in next years draft. I will root for the Bills obviously every week, but if they suck, I hope they really suck (record wise) and we get Locker or Mallett than have another 6 or 7 win season, and wind up back at square 1 again. And while amusing to read, these preseason rankings mean nothing. Google 2009 preseason rankings and see just how off most are. But I do find myself always reading them and being amazed too about the Bills ranking this year. You would almost think we were god awful, which we werent. And we were plagued by injuries and had AVP calling the freakin plays. I dont think its possible we are worse than 30 other teams.
  14. Honestly, you posted this solely to get a response from people. You knew, 100%, that you would "start crap" by posting an mpl all star list. And If you didnt, then you arent as smart as you seem. If you put 1/2 as much thought into some positive posts as you do bad ones, more people might find you as a better contributer. Constant negativity on a site where you are only going to get hardcore Bills fans will not get you very much respect. Try looking at the glass as half full instead of half empty for once. We have all suffered through the terrible and mediocre seasons as fans the same. People want to talk good about the bills or we wouldnt be on here. Again, posting an all star list to illicit responses makes you look like you honestly want to only argue with people about anything you can.
  15. I dunno. If hes a rookie, and the Vikes got rid of him already when they have QB questions themselves makes me wonder...
  16. I honestly hope that happens. Make opponents not want to play at the Ralph again. I really believe Chan wants that too and think he knows what he wants our defense to look like. And, even though they havent played a down yet, I do like our defensive draft class this year alot thus far.
  17. To the contrare, Ill bet most people never heard of him on this board, or know nothing about him besides his name. There is a good little bit about him on ESPN insider, where the only team they mention is the Bills as a fit. This article also explains how the SD defense was better when he started. He is a NT and would be a good rotational guy at least. Keep Harvey on the practice squad for another year.
  18. Having not seen many saints games, I can only judge by what I read. From ESPN insider, since you mentioned them: "His best fit is probably with a 4-3 team that can use him in a time-share to generate some edge pressure on passing downs, and there are several teams who could use help there." I think we need more 3-4 guys not 4-3 guys. Not to say that he wouldnt be successful, but seems not a true fit for our D. Not to mention I doubt he would go from winning a SB in New Orleans and choose Buffalo over other teams.
  19. I would take him over Lonnie Harvey for sure. 3-4 experience is what we need. I would'nt be surprised to see him in camp at least. Might be an OK insurance policy. Never seen him play though, sooo...
