  1. he also played the guy after so whether or not he loved it he needs to downplay the optics of it
  2. because we beat the chiefs in the Super Bowl but not in the divisional round?
  3. sometimes yes, sometimes no. if Josh started struggling to get it 30 yards downfield I’d worry he had something physical and not just a mental issue. how bass was handled down the stretch seemed more akin to that than say Josh making bad reads
  4. kickers often come back around. I’m still curious if there’s more to the story here. It still doesn’t add up fully in my opinion.
  5. one that played very well before signing it nonetheless
  6. I would say that 80% is completely made up. also to your argument, I’d say it varies widely based on how large of an advantage.
  7. that’s normal in todays nfl. Normally you pay a couple cornerstones and then churn like crazy. Being locked into a bunch of good but not great vets is worst case scenario. Heck the pats were doing it a decade ago.
  8. wouldn’t be shocked if he gets tied to purdy and it’s a second stop like Reid where he gets his guy. it’s going to be rough when the niners pay purdy but how do you cut the cord unless you stumble into someome like the pats did Brady
  9. what about exchanging fgs? Or no scores?
  10. honest question - have we ever seen the chiefs go for two there? I know it’s a niche situation they might not have faced but curious if we’ve seen it I understand. But many are acting like it’s without question anyway which would negate a lot
  11. then the 9ers know they must go for it and not kick if the TD is inevitable
  12. I think you are allowing yourself to be a prisoner of last nights moment. Nothing says either team scores a TD. once across the 50 the chiefs very well could end with 3 last night and ignoring last night, there’s a chance neither team scores on their first drive. im not arguing it’s a slam dunk choice but maintain most are completely discounting the possible upsides.
  13. Drive 3 is sudden death though and that’s not a minor thing
  14. Andy Reid going to accidentally walk into a door in the locker room and then with black eye target Kelce like 10 times from here
  15. there’s also the reality that both a spread and condensed can be correct approaches for the same personnel, in the same era, etc…. Sometimes it’s just two different ways that are both good if you have solid players and good play calling
  16. you put a te in the field to be physical
  17. the percentage of passes that kamara caught flat footed and at the line of scrimmage as a 3rd option was maddening. he wasn’t getting wheels and whips and crafty screens on a lot of those targets. It was Chip block, slip through the line, wait for the check down and get clobbered by the mlb way too many times. im really hoping the two had some of those late night “if I were in charge” ***** talking sessions that revealed curry to be more exciting than Carmichael allowed
  18. which is probably the mvp like 70-80% of the time…. But does take the fun out of it
  19. no it was a completely dysfunctional offense and a trainwreck that relied on “we can’t do anything else” and resulted in kamara having his lowest yards per catch in his career
  20. carr wasn’t seeing the field, receivers were a mess and kamara got a thousand dump offs approach
  21. They overlapped in Nola - so fingers crossed they work together well and are aligned in strategy (and hopefully not the current saints passing strategy)
  22. honestly, some sarcasm on my part. If we have the best qb and are settling for sneaking by some day - it’s better than never winning but it’s a bummer as an aspirational goal if we get to 2 SB and win 1 that would kind of be where I want the absolute floor to be with this type of qb.
