  1. Final thread, I don't think so. For me, I will always remember the Trent Edwards of the 2008 season. The opening day game against Seattle was a game to behold. All was good until Arizona when he got hammered. I like Edwards and think he can be a good quarterback. Your analysis could be spot on, I just don't feel qualified to venture an opinion. The question will be how he does in camp because there are three others looking for the job. (Two have a chance, Fitz and Brohm). So we will see. The coaching staff will have their hands full. I am glad I will not have to make the call.
  2. You forgot "m***********", B**** and H*. sigh, I just don't get it.
  3. Jason peters was probably the best undrafted rookie free agent the Bills ever had. But even Jason played for three years before he was put into the left tackle spot where he made the Pro Bowl. With this new group of rookies coming in I was wondering who might be the next "Jason Peters". Not in terms of who will play left tackle but who will turn out to be a solid contributor and great player over the next several years. In my mind the stand out is Jorge Guerra. Here is a few links on him. http://www.myrgvsports.net/?c=673&a=2881 http://www.krgv.com/sports/story/NFLs-Bill...x2aAcgEdkQ.cspx http://www.d2messageboard.com/showthread.php?t=32048 Thought I would get the discussion going anyway. Go Bills...
  4. I think you are dead on. The question will be, is Lynch ready to give the Bills his all or is he going to be an attitude. I pray he is a bigger man than that.
  5. I got the rabbits foot out and I am rubbing it HARD! Look, as fans we are all entitled to dream! GoBills!
  6. I agree. I just don't think Nix went from scout to GM overnight. I think he was brought back with the GM job in hand and was told to look things over. I just think getting Brohm from Green Bay was an astute move. I mean we had a third string quarterback already!
  7. I was going over the timelines of last season. Jauron gets canned on a Tuesday. Fewell takes over as interim HC. On Thursday the team gets rid of Hamdan and picks up Brohm, a second round Green Bay pick. Green Bay matches the Bills offer and offers to put Brohm on the roster. He declines and goes to Buffalo because he views the grass as greener. So who was the guy in the back ofice that spotted him and grabbed him? I wonder how much Buddy Nix was involved in this? The more I read about Brohm, the more I think he could be our QB this season. (article from january.. http://www.oleantimesherald.com/articles/2...b382865455.txt). It will be interesting to see how he does in camp.
  8. I really don't care if he used weed. But this excuse "explaining that it stemmed from the 2006 death of his father, Dennis, who died of complications following hernia surgery while Hernandez was a junior in high school." is utter BS.
  9. I see Denver crashing and burning this season.....
  10. Whoa! Did someone get up on the wrong side of the bed today? I don't think we have to be last to get to first. It will take time. We are fans and hope springs eternal. No one feels that we are on the way to the Super Bowl in 2010, but we think we will get a few wins and show way better than we did last year. Nix and Gailey have the smarts to put together a competitive team. They live it 24/7. We all live it 3 hours on a Sunday in the Fall.
  11. Profit is not a 4 letter word. Want to keep the team in Buffalo? Hope and pray that the Bills make obscene profits for their owner. Will Spiller sell more tickets and shirts, etc? I hope the hell he does. Heck, I'll even buy a couple at inflated NFL prices. Go Bills!
  12. The only draft grade I am interested in is the one a year after the draft. Until then the sports prognosticators can say all they want. It doesn't mean squat.
  13. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...nfl&id=4672 (in particular Chris Mortensen's tweet) There has been a lot of angst written about the fact that we did not select a quarterback in this draft. But seriously, could any of the quarterbacks available to us in the draft been starters? I just wonder whether or not our starting quarterback this season will be Brian Brohm. He was such a highly touted draft candidate when picked up in the second by GreenBay a few years back. Could Gailey turn him into the starter we need? Could he evolve to become our franchise quarterback? Yes, he was awful in his one appearance last year, but could anyone have done better with only two weeks on the team? Just thought I would throw this out for discussion....
  14. I love the optimism. I will not second guess. I am very intrigued about the development of a solid running game. We are heavy in the running back department. I can hardly wait for the season to begin.
  15. I used to live in Buffalo. Grew up there matter of fact. I still like visiting and am proud as heck of my hometown. Been a bills fan through think and thin. I think we will see some exciting play this season. No miracles, but no blowouts either. Go Bills!
  16. From 3-12-2010 CBS TOP RATED NFL DRAFT SCOUT DEFENSIVE TACKLES: Torrell Troup: Central Florida, 6-3, 310, 3: Extremely hardworking, dedicated huge player whose focus on becoming a pro became apparent when he shed 30 pounds heading into his senior season and was rewarded with more stamina. His strength at the point of attack indicates he is a potential nose tackle candidate. A two-time All-Conference USA pick, he started 39 of his 47 career games and finished with 105 tackles, 24 for a loss. He changed his last name from Johnson to Troup for his last two seasons at UCF to honor the re-emergence of his father into his family's life. - Frank Cooney, The Sports Xchange, NFLDraftScout.com/CBS Sports/USA TODAY I like this guy!
  17. I bet we get another pick when we trade Marshawn.... Watch San Diego
  18. Why do you want another California quarterback?
