I have heard some things around town from trusted people

lots of stuff happened last fall

So it wasn’t his “concussion” against the Packers that was the problem? lol.  I will say this, Josh did not seem like he was enjoying last season, so it would not surprise me if there were some personal things going on too.

The thing is they own A  Aron. They don't have to accept anything they don't want to. They can let him sit on the couch (or dark place) and think about the 33 mil. he ain't getting.  The Jets can hold out a while longer until the draft date possibly gets the Packers to accept maybe not as much as they want.

By that time, other teams  will be saying ...Hey, why not us?  If the Commanders situation changes soon and they can swing it, what better way to bring that team to relevance?  He'll probably end up a 49er. How cool would that be?

Agreed.  My point is whether it’s the Jets or someone else, if Rodgers will not play for GB in 2023, GB is better off trading him for the best offer of draft picks in the 2023 NFL draft, as opposed to the 2024 NFL draft.  I’d be shocked if any deal to trade Rodgers happens after the upcoming draft.

He's a fool if he signs here.  He'll be inactive most weeks and what's left of his career will be over.  Ask TJ Yeldon and Duke Johnson.  Breida is lucky he has a rapport with Daboll.

If that’s all he can get at this point in his career, that’s what he might have to take and be okay with it.

The latest, per Schefter via NBC Sports Edge:
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports "it doesn't sound like" Aaron Rodgers will be traded to the Jets before the NFL Draft.
"Green Bay seems quite content to wait until after the draft to make a trade," he said. "Both sides seem to be dug in." Jets general manager Joe Douglas said last week that Rodgers is "going to be here" amid rumors that the team will wait until the second day of the NFL Draft to make the move for Rodgers, 39. Rodgers' massive contract has proved difficult to move, and differences in compensation have come to the forefront in recent weeks. Still, the Packers are likely to deal Rodgers to New York sometime before the heat death of the universe.

That would be dumb on the Packers side though, no?  Wouldn’t they want to land draft picks from the Jets in this year’s draft?  Predicting Schefter is wrong on this one.

  5. Agree about not drafting any of the LBs at 27.  If we do get one after trading down, Trenton Simpson is my target.  I think he has the highest upside between him, Campbell, Sanders and others.  I don’t see him sliding too much though.

Jim had a hall of fame offensive line to open up holes for the running game & a coach who had the intent to run. Its not as simple as just getting a rb.

You gotta be able to block for them & actually commit to running the ball once & awhile.

Thank you, it’s like Jim forgets that aside from having Thurman in the backfield, they were also operating behind probably the best OL in Buffalo Bills history in the early 90’s.  It’s not a coincidence that once the O-line started to fall apart that the Bills went through a 20-year QB carousel.

The franchise luckily struck gold in landing Allen, but it doesn’t make sense to try to land a “star” RB given the team already drafted Cook last year, traded for Hines and signed Harris.  PLUS, the league has evolved to be more passing focused, so the team would be better served to further shore up the O-line and receiving corps (WRs or TEs).

NFL Network is doing layoffs.  I wonder if they will those layoffs as an excuse to disassociate with him.

I wondered the same thing earlier, that’s why I went and pulled up the video.  If NFL Network tries to use this as an excuse to lay him off, I think they’ll have a lawsuit on their hands just like Marriott does from Irvin.  And as much as he annoys some people, he brings in viewers too.

  8. Just watched the video, and I think this whole thing gets thrown out on both sides.  Even if Irvin said what the woman claims, I don’t see how it’s going to be proven.  And yeah, repulsive if he said what she claims, but her body language appeared at ease to me, versus trying to walk away and get back to work.  If anything, her boss/coworker appeared annoyed when she got back, so it’s possible she altered the version of events even a little, to cover her own butt.  And then realized she had to carry on with that story, for the sake of her job.

Again though, I don’t see how the video and her word will implicate him.

when was the last time a player was given permission to seek a "trade" (not explore free agency)......and then stayed with the team ?

usually thats the kiss of death.....that player will almost certainly be somewhere else within a year.    you're not wanted, help us move you.

2023 - Derek carr, D-Ho, Ekeler, Rodgers (only jets), allen robinson, Darius slay (he stayed, might be the exception)

2022- tyreek hill, lael collins, jimmy g(left following yr), jarvis landry, cole beasley (left and came back)

2021 -  akiem hicks (left following yr)

    2020 - trent williams,
