  1. Oh yea, some of the voters are already saying it’s Josh’s “unless Saquon breaks the rushing record”. Well, Saquon likely will break the record bc his last three games are against trash running defenses. Which means if Josh is going to win MVP, he needs to not give any reasons otherwise these last four weeks.
  2. If Douglas, Rapp, and Hamlin all miss the game, thinking our starting secondary will be Benford, Elam, Johnson, Lewis & Bishop?
  3. Right, while Chase had a really good week, receivers put up those numbers all the time in the NFL. Josh put up some numbers only seen once before.
  4. Hailee ain’t no Rachel Bush. In fact, I give Hailee at least some of the credit for Josh having his clearest mind ever now!
  5. Josh only scored 6 TDs in a manner that’d been done once 70 years ago. Like Josh said, needed to do more. /s Ridiculous.
  6. Agree. The way that Goff could get it in my mind is if Goff somehow outplays Josh this weekend, those odds will come down from like 13/1 to 7/1. And then if Lions finish 16-1 and Bills somehow lose one of last three or worse, Josh maybe loses support in favor of Barkley or Goff. The chance of all of that happening is probably fairly low, hence the current odds on Goff.
  7. If the Bills go 12-5 or worse, I’d be concerned the door opens up enough for Barkley or Goff to win. Aside from stats, the MVP voters put a huge emphasis on wins. Hence Lamar beating out Josh last season, or why Burrow isn’t in the MVP mix this year in spite of his amazing stats. We can probably lose to the Lions and Josh still win it, so long as the Bills handle the rest of their business. If Josh is rested in Week 18 bc we’ve wrapped up the 2 seed and we lose to finish 12-5, that might be a scenario where voters would give him a pass. As someone with money on Josh and who loves the Bills, I’d really like a win against the Lions this weekend. Don’t see how they’d finish worse than 13-4 then, would knock Goff out of consideration, and would keep them in the 1 seed race.
  8. Plus, if Allen doesn’t win MVP at this point, it’d likely be because we have additional losses down the stretch, which I don’t think Josh or anyone here wants.
  9. I think good/great rushing teams alone are our Achilles heal. Just so happened that Stafford and his WRs decided to go supernova against us this week too, but I think getting beat in the air will be more the anomaly than a frequent occurrence. Hope Goff doesn’t prove me wrong 😬
  10. To me if we can slow down Detroit’s run game enough and hold them to FGs, we have a great chance of winning. That’s a big IF for this team though.
  11. AFC North is pretty much going to come down to the BAL/PIT game in Week 16. If Steelers win that, they win the division. Ravens win, their odds go up big time. And Ravens probably have the better chance of winning that game, given it will be in Baltimore.
  12. So you’re saying this was inevitable, huh? 🙃
  13. JA Phone Home
  14. I am biased, but I think Josh should get it. He did something only done once 70 years ago!
  15. Just have to accept the NFL wanted the Rams to win this one. Hopefully we’re scripted to win this week and the eventual Super Bowl.
  16. Are these people professional football coaches and experts, though?
  17. Is my breath that bad?
  18. That’s what I’m saying, hopefully light a fire under their *** for the rest of the season.
  19. Maybe Josh liked the call too then
  20. Spot on, man. People claim we never get stopped on these, but yet like you said, we’d gotten stopped on one in earlier in the game. Can’t take the chance of the clock running after the play like we did, should have been the pass/run option for first three downs at least. And btw, everyone questioning whether Josh should have audibled bc of the situational aspect. The coaches need to know better about the situational elements, Josh shouldn’t be expected to have to question all of the play calls too on top of everything. Yes, if something looks funny he needs to audible, but on a QB sneak, he’s likely going to think he can get there almost every time.
  21. Aside from their integrity, what’s to keep each of these folks from either sharing their votes with each other and then passing along to friends to go place bets, or working with the books to throw out comments about certain players, to influence the betting markets?
  22. This upcoming weekend will be Josh’s best chance to “extend” his lead over Barkley, in my opinion. Pittsburgh is Saquon’s toughest run opponent the rest of the way, whereas the Lions represent the biggest “challenge” for Josh the rest of the way. So if we can win while Saquon potentially gets slowed down and possibly loses, that would hopefully add to the separation and lessen the chance of Saquon reaching the rushing title while increasing our chance of 14-3. Past this weekend, I’m concerned the narrative could start to shift back towards Barkley in the last three weeks, given the poor run D’s he faces including his ex-team in Week 18. If Barkley reaches the rushing title, will be interesting to see if that matters to voters or not.
  23. Exactly. Would we rather host a team like the Steelers, Ravens or Texans in the Divisional Round, or go to their place? And then there’s the chance of still hosting the AFCCG, like you said. I’m not conceding the 1 seed yet either. If we can beat the Lions next weekend, we’re then in solid shape to finish 14-3. KC could lose next weekend to the Browns, and then we’re back within a game, with three to go. With KC facing the tougher schedule.
