  1. This is not news. It is just hot air. All the expert sources thought they had the Bills figured out for the head coaching situation. They don't know anything. The Bills are like ninjas Secrets on top of secrets baby. I think the new DC is going to be........ the Cookie Monster.
  2. I like the fact that these guys are old. Not for nothing, but if you survive and thrive at this level for that many years you have seen it all 30 times and will probably bleed football until the day you die. Might as well take advantage of the experience.
  3. I like the idea of a QB from Philly for next season, while we develop the lines with additional OT and DT strength. If a QB is there in the 2nd like LeFevour that would be cool.
  4. I would Love McNabb. He is a man who has been in every situation and can lead the team while it stabilizes and comes together over the next couple years. A short term stabilizer for a need in search of dependability and consistency.
  5. Yeah, its the chicken or the egg kind of problem. Line or QB? QB or line? I think Nix knows a QB when he sees one and Gailey will know what to do with him to get him on track. Just hope the line can stay healthy and work together for a season to develop some chemistry regardless of who is who..
  6. This guy who wrote this article is so funny. So funny that I want to sit on him. Stand up. and then sit on him again. and again. and again. and again. and again. Then I want to push his face in the snow bank outside my house. Take a break. Pull him out. and then sit on him again. and again .............. Nix and Gailey are veterans who know what needs to happen. WTF. People need to Give'em a CHANCE. Can't wait for next year either:)
  7. Not as big a fan of Jonh DiTullio as I am of another host, Bob Matthews on WHAM 1180 or WHAM1180.com from 6-8 week nights. Bob has been on since before these other guys were born. Not stupidly negative, just fair. Actually takes callers and lets them speak until they are done. Love Bob. On a side note Bob is on right now and is talking on the subject of giving Nix and Gailey the benefit of the doubt and support. Pretty cool. He also stated that this next year will probably be another miss in the playoffs given the stages the Jets, Miami, and the Pats are at right now with players and consistency. Hopes the Bills can get off the injury reserve train... Anyways its good old fashioned discussion for the sake of discussion, not just to be right or some kind of guru.
  8. I like it too. Sound veterans leading. I also like the lesser role idea as well given that Gailey is going to do OC duties week in and week out.
  9. The man gets respect from Reeves and Cowher, is on the same page as the GM, knows his players, and wins. As the smoke settles around this whole thing I am really liking this. Keep dumping the dead weight in this organization and start new baby! Screw the media that blab blab blab BS about Buffalo and next year could be a pass, but the transition will bear fruit. Large playoff sized fruit.
  10. Amen to the Eric Wood getting healthy and mobile again. That injury was devastating. Load bearing injuries on big men can ruin them for mobility even if they have the grit. Here's to this young guy.
  11. C'mon baby! Your leaving before the fun has even started. These old skool cool dudes are hardcore! Just wait on the showcase of vintage football coordinators and the fundamentally sound draft. If it doesn't work then go off to greener pastures with some other team.
  12. I love this kid Tebow. Young dude with passion. He would be a top shelf guy in the Bills locker room.
  13. Interesting. Nix and Gailey. Good ol'fashoined football lifers getting ready to raise up a tough team like back in the day. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt I suppose. What will come next will be some good ol'fashioned coordinators too. Tough kick some as* older dudes that have scars they forgot about and who knows? Something might come of it. Strange days..
  14. Sal is always dramatic. Ebeneezer is the guys nick name. Grouchy and dramatic by nature, but he is the man when it comes to the Bills here in Rochacha baby.
  15. Sal's books Sal is a great football writer. Love his column and appearances on the Bob Matthews show on 1180WHAM here in Rochester. He is accomplished and has covered the Bills like a blanket. Check out his book titles at Barnes and Nobles. If anybody has a question about his credentials let them post their own book list here.
  16. I love ya Mr. Wilson. No matter what they say. Bear hug comin at ya..
  17. People, Whats up? So negative. Wait and see what happens. It's entertainment and we are rooting for the underdogs. THE UNDERDOGS. The Bad news Bears of pro sports. 2010 is the year of the underdog. The Jets are doing it. Why not the BILLS?? Every time I see Rex Ryan celebrate kicking the crap out of the "favorite" lovely. I think why not the BILLS? GO BILLS!!
  18. With these moves and with Frazier Schobel just might come back. Especially with an upgrade at LT somewhere in FA.
  19. Dreaming of the future Bills fans. A day when we can be proud because of what happened today not just yesterday
  20. 7- Millie the secretary's husband - in therapy. Millie is home all day now and is driving him insane.. and her coffee still stinks.
  21. Agreed that this situation needs to get better in terms of wins. With a series of wins this city in terms of new stadium commitments and expanded league interest would be as viable or more so than say, Detroit, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Kansas City, San Diego, Baltimore, or even the Tennessee, Green Bay, and Pittsburghs, of the world. Small market teams are small market teams. Some are more recognizable because of WINS and fan support$$ as well as seats in stadiums. Change the story. Say, the Bills never started down this road 10 years ago and remained a viable winning team that maybe pulled off another appearance or a win in the SuperBowl or a competitive force in the conference playoffs 5 out of the last 10 years and we wouldn/t be talking about this gloom today feeling sorry and negative. Nix is the best shot right now and is out doing what he knows. Looking for talent. He isn't pis*ing in the wind. Just doesn't strike me as that kind of person. Just wait and he will produce. What else is there to do? Drink heavily?
  22. Football is a chess match like boxing. You need rest between periods of exertion. Strategy also plays in with the use of time. Oh yeah, and the NFL is a commercial based industry. If the Wall Street Journal wants continuous action they can watch table tennis and eat sugar cookies. pansies.
  23. Best case scenario is Merriman. He is speaking out after the big loss rather than offering a strong statement about recovering and getting set for next year with the Chargers. He has checked out because he thinks they have him on the block. He would be a nice addition and could free up the 1st round of the draft for a LT of our own at number 9 and a DT or QB in the 2nd round.
  24. Yeah, the hope is there, but teams peak at different times. The Colts are deadly. They will beat the snot out of the Jets and stomp on em from the start to the finish. As for the pissed and jealous part of the equation here, I can ditto that BIG TIME. These past few years in Buffalo have been hard. Really hard.
