  1. So true. The retro jersey is cool. Except maybe an OJ Simpson. kinda sucks. The guy was the bomb.
  2. Jim Kelly can say whatever he wants. He's the man and I think will help keep the team here where it belongs.
  3. I hope Campbell comes to Buffalo. Would be a nice pick up. What do the Bills have to lose?
  4. I am looking forward to the first days of the new team too. Should be a great indication of where things are going. Hope that Trent keeps quiet and Lynch shows up. I know Fred Jackson will be ready to roll if they can pull him away from his poker table. LOL.. If things don't fly with Lynch and anyone else I hope they trade them now and don't put up with locker room antics or the media circus. Winning should be the only focus. Go Bills
  5. Luck is a strange and fickle thing and I think the Bills are bound to strike gold someday. They got close in an era that seems a life time ago, but what they are doing is getting prepared to take advantage of opportunities that present themselves the best way they can with Nix and Gailey. The plan is in play and time will tell how the ball will fall. Truth is though, These 2 guys have been winners most of the time. That doesn't happen by luck alone...
  6. The Bills will have to take their lumps over the next couple and earn a reputation again. That's all there is to it. Cleveland, San Fransico, and the Redskins are all in the same slump. Hopefully the Bills are finally on stable ground with Nix and the crew.
  7. Good point. Only wish Wood was healthy for next season. I know he is "ahead of schedule".. but there will still be a draft pick or two plus another FA signing to reinforce that line until he is back and the LT situation is worked out. So many holes, so few picks.. Hope Nix lives up to his reputation.
  8. Never a dull moment... Who is this mcnabb guy anyways?? I wish he were a little younger and it was 1999 again...
  9. Love that this board is fast. SUPER FAST in terms of the comings and goings of the Bills organization and how it fits in the NFL.
  10. I love the tact that is being taken by the new regime. Even though it is frustrating to not have a clue about what the strategy is. They know where they want to go and don't discount who is in charge here. Old generals with a prudent and purposeful eye on the future. Nix has stated many times that this isn't going to turn around in a year. So why bring in people that are not going to be financially responsible and help the team especially knowing the precarious situation involving 2011. The draft will be a good one no doubt in my mind. No worries next year folks. The Bills will probably struggle but the identity will come with time because the guys in charge are footballers. Old Skool Football guys. LT, DT, QB, TE, LB will be some of the picks that will come in young and have some help after next year's draft. No other way around it. I want to come to this board as much as the next guy and see some FA movement, but that isn't the way it's going down and it won't be. There is a plan that we are not ever going to see until it is play and that's that. Go Bills. Here's to the draft.
  11. Absolutely. His interview video with Chris Brown was definitely telling in that he was indicating that he wanted a ring and was ready to resign with the Vikings if the deal wasn't strong enough here. It probably didn't help matters any that Chris Brown kept after him about how he underwhelmed people for the majority of his career and is considered a late bloomer. Kinda funny because you could tell the guy hated getting prodded about the truth of his early bust status. My money is on this guy just passing through. oh well..
  12. They need help. Why not Tebow? Just hope they have some OL help and someone for him to throw to.
  13. Deep class this year in the draft. Guys a freelancer from a losing team.
  14. With Brad Butler retiring we just might have to find out..
  15. Wherever you are there you are. Buffalo is cool. Its not Laguna beach. NEWS FLASH FOLKS!! Who cares? Wisconsin is like Western NY and they all could give a sh*t about what people think. I love my relatives who come here from Wisconsin. They are chill and happy to be alive. Just because NY used to be the "EMPIRE STATE" people get busy beating us up and we feel sorry for ourselves. I'm not buying it. Time to embrace the 21st century and crack open a Pabst like my Wisconsinites.
  16. Seymour would be great, but the patsies are not ever going to let that tank come to Buffalo. He would kill them. Stroud, Seymour, and Williams/Johnson would be MONSTERS. Especially with Maybin, Mitchell, Poz, and a pick up like Porter blasting through the line behind them. Byrd, Whitner running wild, and McGee, Florence/Corner making receivers lives miserable. Ha Ha!! That would be awesome stuff brother!!
  17. The old schoolers that are currently in charge could definitely make better use of Owens than the second rate sheep herders that were coaching the offense last year. I would take the guy back in a heartbeat, but cmon its not happening. All I am left with is a useless replica jersey someone bought me for mucho $$ last year and is now just collecting dust. Wish she bought be a Jackson jersey instead.. LOL
  18. Very nice evaluation of the current rebuilding situation with the Bills. Its not an over night project and will really take all the talents of Nix and Gailey's crew to get things pointed in the right direction, but some pieces of the puzzle exist already. One of the keys to this that we are already aware of is draft strategy and talent utilization. I am reserving judgment on whether they can get this thing together until mid season 2010. I'm not looking for anything but improvement and consistency in 2010. And yes, Edwards and the current line-up at QB does suck rotten eggs, but I am on board with the current direction. Hope they bring in some competition..
  19. Here is a link to a Q& A with Saffold. Seems like a pretty humble and hard working guy. He also likes the Browns which means that he is perfect for the move to Buffalo. Most telling question for me in terms of his willingness to come to Buffalo: Who’s the most instrumental person in your life: Coach Bobby Johnson at Indiana University...(correction- Bills) Saffold Q & A
  20. Very funny and true to some degree. Once a Mack Truck always a Mack Truck..
  21. Saffold's stock is on the rise and could be a second rounder if the Bills really want him. That's cool with me. Found this Q & A with Saffold. His favorite team is the Browns (could indicate his ability to appreciate Buffalo) His most important quote for me in terms of his willingness to come to Buffalo: Who’s the most instrumental person in your life: Coach Bobby Johnson at Indiana University. (update..Bills OL) Indiana OT Q & A
  22. The Jets have a great defense no doubt and an up and coming Offense with consistent coaching in place. That's a positive for me, but not a deal breaker. With the right scheme the Colts showed that they can be beaten by using their own aggressiveness against them. Nelson, Hardy, Evans, Jackson, Parrish will all need to be used judiciously and with some strong defensive pressure to pull off 2 wins there in 2010, but it can happen. The Phins are up in the air right now with a transitional defense, aging and nicked up running game, evolving QB play and no #1 deep threat. Who knows?? Definitely a tough team with a strong FO that will make some moves, but not out of the realm of possibility that the Bills sweep the series. The Patriots are the mystery here. No doubt a contender for the championship every year. Kind of like George Foreman. You can never under estimate their ability to kick your ass from here to Siberia and back in a split second. Moss is another year older, Welker is coming off injury for the first few games of the season, the defense looked mortal last year, and Brady is still the man. Definitely one of the toughest teams to bring down, but the Bills could be among the giant killers. Stranger things have happened.. These predictions so early against a Bills coaching staff that is this seasoned and still getting their feet under them is premature at best, but not shocking.
  23. This thread of discussion is SO LAME. Why don't you kids just meet at the bike racks and duke it out after school or kiss and make up..
