  1. If your favorite highlight involves Mike Stratton and Keith Lincoln, you might be an elderly Bills fan.
  2. Been a Bills fan since 1960, but I've lived in New England since 1993. It's the pits having to live among the chowdah heads. Bunch of front runners. Someday, Bills Nation will rise again.
  3. I think taking Cam Newton - or any other QB in this draft class - with the No. 3 pick is a gamble the Bills can't afford to take. Newton at No. 3 would be as uncertain a prospect as someone taken in Round 4 or 5. My vote is DEFENSE. A stud DE or pass-rushing freak at LB is what they need. It was the defense that gave up 200+ yards rushing per game, not the QB.
  4. Sign him. And Poz. And put them together in the middle. Put Merriman on one side and draft Von Miller for the other. Pretty nice linebacking corps.
  5. Win or lose Sunday, the important thing is that Chan is turning these guys into a team that believes it can win and is learning how to win. And once you add more talent to that environment, you're going to have a really, really good football team.
  6. I've ben in New England for 17 years and the chowderheads here can be insufferable. And there's nothing to do but acknowledge that the Bills are bad. But I remind them that someday those who are last will someday be first. It has happened before and will happen again. All we have to do is live long enough to see it. Then I can tell them all to go *%#% in their hat.
  7. If you're not going to produce, you shouldn't play. If you're not going to [play, you shouldn't be on the team. This isn't a personal support network, it's the National Football League, and the message here is contribute or hit the road. Anyone on the Bills who wasn't aware of that just got a wake-up call.
  8. I didn't see anything Sunday to indicate they weren't the worst in the league. I'll be a Bills fan all my life, but, right now, they stink.
  9. I buy a lottery ticket now and then. Why not a buck on the Bills?
  10. Week 1 Buffalo vs. Miami Loss Week 2 Buffalo vs. Green Bay Loss Week 3 Buffalo vs. New England Patriots* Loss Week 4 Buffalo vs. NY Jets Win Week 5 Buffalo vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Win Week 6 BYE Week 7 Buffalo vs. Baltimore Ravens Loss Week 8 Buffalo vs. Kansas City Chiefs Win Week 9 Buffalo vs. Chicago Bears Win Week 10 Buffalo vs. Detroit Lions Loss Week 11 Buffalo vs. Cincinnati Bengals Loss Week 12 Buffalo vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Loss Week 13 Buffalo vs. Minnesota Vikings Loss Week 14 Buffalo vs. Cleveland Browns Loss Week 15 Buffalo vs. Miami Dolphins Win Week 16 Buffalo vs. New England Patriots* Loss Week 17 Buffalo vs. NY Jets Loss
  11. I think they should pursue Faneca. The guy's a veteran and could help some of these rookies and send-year kids, and he'll also play with a chip on his shoulder because the Jets cut him. If you think he's too old, just look back at the contributions guys like Conrad Dobler, Isiah Robertson and Phil Villapiano made to the team. This team needs leadership more than anything.
  12. He still has to worry about a civil action in which there doesn't have to be evidence beyond a reasonable doubt, only a "preponderance" of evidence. This thing could cost old Ben a bundle.
  13. This isn't breaking news. The Bills gotta lotta holes. Question is: What are they going to do about it? And looking at the big picture like this, it isn't even remotely conceivable they could turn things around in one draft or free-agency period. A demonstrated willingness to improve - and maybe eight wins - would be a good start this year.
  14. It's gotta be a QB, the further into the draft we wait for a QB, the better the chance he'll be another JP Edwards.
  15. Patriots fans call him that? I live in New England and never heard that. Sure they hate him. But only because he kicks their sorry chowder-eating butts.
  16. I'm done. I feel like I'm on "Intervention," and the Bills are my alcoholic brother. No matter what anybody does, he still screws up and everybody suffers. It's an extreme analogy, and I apologize to anyone actually in that situation, but you don't stop caring in those cases, you withdraw support. You don't give him money and you don't let him live in your spare room. In the Bills' case, you don't buy tickets, you don't buy jerseys and you don't even watch on TV. You write letters to OBD and send e-mails. If the Bills are going to change, the fans have to change. Stop embracing this crap year after year after freakin year and calling it loving your team.
  17. Nope, I've been a Bills fan since 1960, and I stand by what I said. This year, I and a lot of others have given up hope that RW wants a winner anymore.
  18. Assuming the Jets go down next week, then last week of the season will arrive with only the Bills standing between Indy and 16-0. What a fitting way to wrap up one of the ugliest seasons in franchise history.
  19. Tebow may not be the most gifted athlete or even QB in the field, but he's a leader. He knows how to win and he takes his teammates there. He makes his teammates better. The Bills have no idea how to win - example, the New England game. They need someone who can share a vision of winning, not someone who wants not to lose. I'd seriously consider him in the draft.
