  1. Like all of my threads...this one is doing so well.

If you schmucks haven't seen the show it is rather interesting. Two random folks placed in a remote location with only one thing of their choosing, a small napsack and nothing else - not even clothing. They must survive 21 days naked and afraid. They have used places like the African Safari, tropical islands, remote backwoods, etc.

So have they responded to yours and Dog's joint application to be on the show?

  2. They really need to take Simpson off the wall. The fact that his name is still up there makes me sick to my stomach. He is a disgrace to the human race and it is a disgrace that this organization continues to celebrate him by keeping his name on that wall.

I found this old thread (http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/55316-time-to-take-oj-simpson/page__st__40) and loved this post ...

They should march OJ to the fifty yard line and let 80,000 people throw rocks and beer cans at him until he is dead. Then they should use the carcass to feed animals at the zoo, possibly the pigs if there are any. Then they should take his name off of the Wall and add Henry Jones.

As much as I want to say this would be a bit much ... I can't. It wouldn't.

    Get him off the wall.

  3. What about your wallet? I was raised it goes in your left ass pocket. Bugs me when I see guys with them in their right ass pocket. Don't even get me started on the front pocket...

I always put my wallet in my right rear pocket. I do the front pocket in congested areas (walking through NYC, concerts, etc.) due to pickpockets. I have actually been using my front pocket more and more, because the wallet in the back pocket hurts my back a little bit.

What's wrong with the front pocket wallet hold, Pooj?

Kind-of like when teenagers stop and watch when I mow the lawn with a reel lawn mower.

My son wants a reel lawn mower ... which should go well with the '58 Edsel he also wants.

  4. One of my favorite songs of all time...I remember the first time I heard it back in the early 90s...I tried so hard to find it, but it seemed that NONE of his compilation albums included it. Just a beautiful song inspired by John Lennon.

I am heading to NYC this weekend. Strawberry Fields in Central Park is on my list of places to visit. If this song creeps into my head, the pollen might get into my eyes a little.

  5. Without even knowing the schedule I expect the Pats to drop 3 of their first 7 easily. I figure them finish 10-6 is a high end guess with 9-7 jist as possible and winning the east

The dolphins, jets and bills are so inconsistent I expect them to split 1-1. If the Bills, Jets or Fins finish better the. 8-8 I will be shocked.

I have no problem with Cowherd's Buffalo prediction; I just find it difficult to predict when no one knows who the QB will be.

Anyway, I see the division ending up like this (approx. number of wins):

    1. NE (10)

    2. Buff (9)

    3. Mia (7)

    4. NYJ (6)

  6. Don't be silly. Everyone knows the 6 P Rule is actually, Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers.

Since when are Safeties relied upon to stop the run? Especially with the money we're paying our defensive front. I don't want to overpay the cat, either, but his inability to guess where an open-field running back (Chris Johnson, no less) is going to go is hardly something to hold against him while negotiating. In my most humble opinion, ever, of course.

  7. Seriously, when I was installing my new water softener 5 years ago... I read in the stall specs that in Mass, one can't intsall it themselves... WTF! In California, the owner of the water softener has to put it into "salt saving" mode, ie: water saving... What? They have "Softener Police" going door to door in El Segundo and Worcester? ;-)

Let the Mass holes have hodd woddah in Woostah. Who cares?

  8. Lowes, in my opinion and experience, has customer service far superior to that of HD. I occasionally go to HD if it's more convenient based on my current location, or if they have a good sale (they had 4 bags of black mulch for $10, which I couldn't pass up). But 9/10 times, I'll go to Lowes because I know the layout of the store better and the service is so much better.

  9. I respect your opinion & sounds like you're a great dad. Could be a generational thing (not sure how old you are) but there are different styles to be being a parent. As sad as it is to say, SJ just being in the same household as kids & their mother puts them ahead of the game.

Money doesn't mean everything but his kids are likely to have a much better life than he did growing up. And as a dad, isn't that what you want?

The shirt doesn't bother me in the least but I guess it's not totally appropriate. But (not you) the faux outrage for a guy who is one of the best players & hasn't been in any real trouble is a bit over the top IMO. SJ is probably the coolest part about the Bills since the SB years.

Yep. The most important thing about this to me, as a Bills fan, is that it has nothing to do with the games. And that's because it's not a big deal, in the grand scheme of things. And to your earlier point. The Pouncey brothers crossed an entirely different line and are a couple of scum bags. Stevie isn't remotely close to that.

  10. This is a touchy subject here. Can actors or musicians not be good parents because they swear in their roles as entertainers? Also, you're looking at it through the mind of an older person. Most kids would have no idea what it means.

I'm looking at it as a father of a 10-year-old. And my son would likely not get it. He might see the "F" word in there, but he wouldn't understand the "69," part. Regardless, it's irresponsible as a parent, in my opinion.

Actors are portraying someone else, whether it's fiction or non-fiction. Athletes are themselves.

Musicians often swear/do inappropriate things in order to entertain their fans. Madonna, for example, raised children while taking the stage in underwear. I view that as different, too.

Stevie Johnson was being Stevie Johnson. No one paid money to see that picture. His value as a football player doesn't go up with off-the-field attention.

I just think he crossed an unnecessary line this time. Again, I say, I have no problem with it, personally. I'm just saying why it was the wrong thing for him to do.
