  1. You make good points.

But I personally don't care about his reputation or his character. This is a football game. If he helps me win it, I'm ok with him ruining his character. It's not mine after all.

Suh won't be helping the Lions win when he's not allowed to even practice, let alone play, with them.

I'm fine with the "badass" reputation and I don't mind a player with a chip on his shoulder. But when said player's conduct is detrimental to the entire team, that's simply not worth it to me.

  2. One more thing came to mind.

There seemed to be some confusion on the part of the guy who collected my money whilst pulling into Hammer's.

NOTE: This was my first time at Hammer's and my first TBD Tailgate.

I had very big sign in the dash that said TBD - PRIME, even with Gugny on it.

I asked where the TBD tailgate was. He said, "What's TBD?" I told him "Two Bills Drive."

He said, "oh, they usually set up back there (pointing to where Pinto Kenny's crew was), but you'll be backed in there, so why don't you just pull into where that guy is directing people to park (far from the tailgate).

I was confused, but followed directions. Then Pinto Ken greeted us. I told him I was looking for the TBD Tailgate and he promptly told me where it was. I quickly asked the attendant who took my money if we could move the car. He let us.

It all ended well, but I just wanted to bring it up.

  3. if the Agent is talking to other teams about possible trades and the bills are inquiring to the league if Tyrd's contract can be "altered" by the new team if traded....then exactly what is the difference between "requesting" and "open to it" ??

Parker "hey doug, we are not asking for or demanding a trade, but why don't we both explore the possiblilty of a trade because we are not against a trade, in fact, we are open to one"

    got it !

I think there is a difference.

Requesting a trade = "Please find another team who wants me because I no longer want to play for the Bills."

Open to a trade = "It's a business. I expect you to explore ways to make the team better; you should expect me to explore ways to make my wallet fatter. If those goals can be accomplished by me staying in Buffalo, let's do it. If they can't, we should both understand."

  4. Classy post, Beerball. We live in a great nation. There is far more good than evil.

The official number of victims is 2,977.

But there are hundreds of thousands of family members, friends and loved ones who continue to miss those they lost. By the grace of God, I'm not one of them. But I still feel the pain.

I hope we remember those victims, both here and gone, with respect and honor today. And I hope we can all find it within ourselves to respect each other.

It's the least we can do.

    God Bless America.

  5. So glad you got there in time to say goodbye. I felt bad not actually being able to see everyone one last time.

I moved quick...got 100 yards and stayed there for 30 minutes as the idiot cops did not move anyone...at all. Then some chick comes over and asks to let her friends car out in front of me. I told her not a chance that I had 9 hours to drive. She didn't believe me until I told her to look at the plates. I was about to tell her she could flash me and I would let her but Kelly got mad at her and flipped her off and put my window up.

This would have been great to see. Hopefully, Kelly will show a little more of that side next year! I hope she wasn't mad that I didn't shave my legs.

  6. The National Driver Registry bit me in the ass earlier this year when I went to get my motorcycle permit. Had to pay a fine from a NJ ticket I got in 1993.

Anyway, just appearing will likely get it reduced to a on-moving violation. You still get fined with a court fee, but it's no point on your license/no impact on your insurance premium.

    Good luck.

  7. When I visit WNY I usually stay with my mom. She still loves to cook for me. I look down at the plate and look at her "mom, I'm not 12 anymore!" The only thing missing is the milk.

My mom is all about pasta, meat and potatoes ... and bread with every meal. I miss those days, but I'm glad to be eating more healthy foods (for the most part). I still eat a lot of the same stuff, but with leaner meats, multi-grain/high-fiber pasta and little to no butter with the potatoes.

  8. Whatever happened to the piece of meat, some vegetables, a starch, some fruit and milk?

All of you with kids. How often do you eat what Jack posted and how often do you eat what I posted?

My son gets fast food about once/month. Rarely McDonald's. His dinner consists of white meat, veggies, a starch and water on most days. He gets his milk in the morning with cereal and also has juice.

Weekends see more red meat and also more snack-type stuff (chips, crackers, etc.) but we try to keep those as healthy as possible, too.

  9. In fairness to the Ravens:

    1. They wanted to distinguish their purple from the Vikings, so they are Purple/Black/White while the Vikes are Purple/Yellow/White

    2. Ravens are very dark black birds.

2a. "Raven" as a color means "black".

Point being, once they settled on the name - at least partially black uni's made all the sense in the world.

So they're associated with the Black Panthers?

  10. well done, well done.

But in fairness, Aussie did say that it was the best she ever had (I think I remember that) and she lives in Texas.

Oh, I'm not saying it wasn't phenomenal pulled pork. You even sold me on the slaw ... which I NEVER eat. It was outrageous!!!

It was real ... and it was spectacular!

  11. I've had nothing but good experiences at Anchor Bar (the original, not the ****ty franchises that opened in Rochester for a spell). Every wing was cooked well and sauced. My only complaint is that last time Jimmy Fallon was seated at the table next to mine and despite my repeated requests to move to a funnier area of the dining room, the waitstaff tried to convince me that Fever Pitch was a good movie.

I tried to get a pic of the gorgeous redhead, but I ended up with a pic of a chihuahua in a fat chick's lap. That's my luck.
