  1.

What you call Upstate on your list, I call the Adirondack Region.

And one guy I used to work with was from Long Island. He said they considered everything north of the Tappen Zee as Canada.

What's weird is that I live in the Adirondacks and I've always qualified where I live as "upstate." I've never said I lived in the Adirondacks. I think, as an upstate NYer, it has alway been the priority to clearly state I am not from NYC - mostly because of the bad reputation NYCers have.

i'm central new york and i have no clue what stewarts is

when I was living in Richmond, i used to tell people that I was almost as close to NYC from Richmond as I was from Syracuse(an extra 90 minutes from richmond), but still it makes the point.

Come to my neck of the woods. I think the maximum distance between Stewarts stores is 5 miles. Not exaggerating.

This is so frustrating that everyone else in the country immediately thinks I live in Manhattan because I live in ny state. I have to constantly tell them I can see Canada on my drive to work and I'm probably 8 hour drive from NYC. that usually helps to give others a comparison.

But its annoying anyways. I don't talk with a downstate accent, ny state is big, its not a giant city, in fact shocking to some its more farm country, rural and mountains than not.

I always use Lake George or Saratoga as a landmark or people. Similarly to you, I state travel times. 2 hours to Canadian border. 3 hours to NYC. 5 hours to Buffalo. Helps immensely.

  2. Newport RI tonight. Boston was nice. Went to cheers and had a few beers then we went to Salam MA to check out some of the old historical buildings there that my gf is into. Took some bikini pics but shucks I can't seem to get them to post 😜

Well, you followed half of my advice .... The least desirable one. Where to now?

  3. Couldn't even read the whole thing because my son will be 11 in March. God bless these people. And every time I leave my son for any period of time; before school, when I leave for work, when he goes to play with his friends, when he goes to bed - he always gets an "I love you," and a kiss.

I'm 42 and I still tell my parents I love them every day and kiss them goodbye every time I leave them.

  4. classy tribute for a classy man. Mo is the greatest reliever ever, and he did it with pure class. I am convinced Mo can pitch the next 10 years and still be dominant. His cutter is practically unhittable, and he throws with a perfect motion, so he never gets repetive stress injuries to his shoulder/elbow/wrist. They always said Mo was best athlete on the Yanks, even in his older years. And a younger Mo- I have never seen anyone break more bats. First ballot hall of famer and a pure pleasure for this Yankee fan to watch his whole career.

Okay. I mean, he's good. But he's no Oil Can Boyd.
