Anybody been to a game in Miami? Worth going?
RyanC883 replied to DCofNC's topic in The Stadium Wall
was going to recommend little Havana. Food is amazing. oh, we will find you on the beach. 😜 -
first team! I think prob rookie wall and if technique hopefully can be corrected with Kromer. I’m really high on Van Pran. 0 sacks and 1 hit total last 2 years in SEC.

What are your expectations for the draft picks?
RyanC883 replied to appoo's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we get a lot of solid production from the rookies: Coleman: is a starter. 5TD, 400 yards. A red zone menace with Knox and Coleman, but not much of a contributor outside of the redzone in year one. Bishop: is a day 1 starter. Plays better than Poyer did last year by the end of the year. Davis: huge contributor on short yardage plays that takes designed running off Allen’s hands. Solomon is a huge surprise. 5 sacks, mostly at the end if the year. Guy led college, and sacks generally predict future successful edge players. Carter: solid rotation DT. Van Pran: starting center by end of year. All rookie team. -
Cedric the Center will be starting. Does not "need to", but I think he will.

Great points. What worries me about the McD may become like Reid argument is that Reid needed a change of scenery, another MVP QB in Mahomes and a GOAT TE in Kelse, and McD on the other side (13 seconds, last year), to win as much as he has.

there is a go fund me in the article. perhaps donations of $17?https://www.gofundme.com/f/andrew-coatney

the center from Georgia in the draft is another steal. He will start this year and do really well. He'd be the top center in most drafts, IMO. He allowed 0 sacks and only 1 hit total the last two years.
-
Campbell had 7 sacks last year. I'd try for a 1 year deal with him. He might want to play for a contender.

why so low? Post SB win hangover?

Steelers got 3 top wrestlers in the draft, so this is McD trying to add more. -

Marquez Valdes-Scantling meeting with the Bills (UPDATE: Signed)
RyanC883 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
not a bad signing. Still hoping for a true #1 WR, perhaps Coleman comes on, or we use Kincaid as #1 WR. Will be a tough group overall to cover if we go 3-4 wide. -
Williams is an interesting one, esp. if Milano is not ready when the season starts. Shorter coming onto the scene would be amazing. All this talent, and not the production in College or his 1st year here, would be nice to see him put it together. there is the Bills PTSD right there!

any OSU fans on here know anything about WR Johnson? Is he a likely ST gunner or something? Camp body?

still can’t stand him, all time great cheater.

Bills sign Chase Claypool, Smoot, Jones

can't hate it unless this is the only FA WR we get. by itself it's a great signing because it's extremely low risk/ and could be very high reward. -
our WR room does have a bunch of above-average guys, none elite. This does pose an issue for other Ds because they have to cover a bunch of above average guys (and perhaps Kincaid, Coleman, or Shakir becomes elite), instead of 1 stud and a couple other JAGs.

I’m greedy, lets steal one from KC.

Lots of logic (see what I did ) in the above, but allow me to offer the counter-points in bold above.

I'm not buying this "transition" nonsense. To me, the question is: "what transition??" My expectation is a SB win. I think we transitioned into a better team than last year. A lot of the departing players were non-factors last year. Poyer(often slow, leading to bad angles), Hyde (injured), White (injured/not the all-pro he was), Morse (good, not great), etc., and Diggs not around as anything but a JAG in the 2nd half of the season. Contrast that with getting Milano back, 2 vet safeties and a projected stud rookie. Also, Miller should be totally healed and it's make or break for him. We also added a rotational 3T DT, so we have a nice depth part for Oliver. We should be better on D. The only "loss" was Floyd, who vanished in the late part of the season and playoffs. On offense, CVP likely replaces Morse with little drop off if any, Coleman, Kincaid, Knox, and Samules are a better WR/TE group than the 2nd half last season. What transition? Transition by the technical definition, yet, but I don't buy the idea we transitioned to something worse. Franchise QB and some key vets in place and you can win. Bills can do it, we have the roster.

I think this lineup is close, but I think Dawkins is gone in a couple of years due to age. We may keep Spencer Brown or draft a replacement. Hopefully one of the Ts we have now can become a starter, although we likely need to draft a Rd. 1-2 guy in 2025 or 2026 for the LT side.
