THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - The Six-game Season Begins
RyanC883 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
well, it's also on Bean, the OL has been terrible. But I agree, JA needs to stop throwing bad INTs like last game regardless of the pressure and Daboll needs to call better plays. (more balance). -
you can lose literally any STUD on your team and still win a SB. The Giants lost Phil Simms, they beat us with Hostetler. Think about that! The Eagles lost Wentz, who was having a stud season, then proceeded to beat everyone including the unbeatable Pats to win a SB. If you can't lose a stud CB and still have a chance, you never had a chance to begin with.
-
two different responses. One was in reply to a poster who implied that since White was special, Jackson couldn't be. That's total nonsense. They could both be special. The second was in response to the "our season is over" type of posts. That is nonsense. Even if Jackson is average, our season isn't over if we are a well-constructed and coached team. Yep, if we actually had a DL that could generate pressure. We'll find out what we are made of soon, if this creates a failure, it's on Bean's terrible job fixing the DL.

And Brady has been bitching at the refs since he got into the league over getting looked at funny from DEs. The NFL needs to protect all its QB's, esp. it's "marquee" ones. This was a total failure by that ref. And refs should be fined for missing stuff like this, but they won't, because they have a ref's union, which is totally absurd.

why can’t they both be great/special? this, exactly. D’s and teams lose a stud or two during the year. You want the SB, you need to be able to survive this.

Ford is worse, but Dawkins is also a problem. Glad Bean paid him a ton of money to be average at best. -

This OL is just awful. And this is without the Saints other top end DL. -

Saints too banged up and Bills take advantage. Bills 41-10. -
all these ppl from buffalo or are there a lot of bills fans in Nola?

Injury updates. Nola missing a ton of important players. And better players than Brown and Star. No excuses for Buffalo. https://www.nola.com/sports/saints/article_c04e93f0-4ca5-11ec-8a1f-db00d9e69752.html

put him on. Zero excuse to have McKenzie returning another kick.

Todays Athletic article - Reality Check on Bills
RyanC883 replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall
what is “allowing pressure” and “sack” rate directly correlate to OL play. Could it be Allen getting rid of the ball faster? How is the run blocking? -
I am not a ESPN fan but Steven A had it right
RyanC883 replied to Sharky7337's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bean is bad at drafting, esp early when he at best gets average instead of difference makers in rd 1-2. -
hasn’t worked, almost worse. Our scouts or Bean are awful.

Does Allen miss having Barkley in the room?
RyanC883 replied to Richmond_Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
not a bad thought as many starters have a good relationship with their backups, but the qb coach and/or Mitch should be doing this, imo. -

The OP actually has a fantastic idea. Question: who would we hire as such a consultant? Second question: we would need someone to help Bean with assessing draft talent in the 2nd round. -
well, if they don't want it to be the Josh Allen show 24X7 perhaps the OL and DL could stop being seives, and the RBs could actually be competient, then again, Daboll can't call an offensive series. bad for us. KC is an actual running back away from having a dominant run game as well. They have the OL, mostly because they drafted Humphry, and we, well, drafted Basham.
-
where are the good draft picks beyond Allen. I'll wait. Bean has been below average. I'm not expecting him to bat 1,000, I'm expecting competency, not a "throw various picks at DEs and hope one sticks" approach while ignoring the OL and RB position.
