What players are true draft busts under Beane?
RyanC883 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
hiring daboll is a bust -
My thoughts from attending yesterday’s game
RyanC883 replied to Brennan Huff's topic in The Stadium Wall
I stayed the whole game. Just an unreal disaster to watch. Felt like the drought years. -
Both. Get a tougher roster and a dome.

And they are 100 percent correct. The FO strategy was a joke. Draft a bunch of DE and hope one works out. That is not what a competent FO does. And they missed on Humphrey by taking Basham. The OL and DL’s are soft and we have no running game. No team has won a SB with that combo regardless of who is at qb. but it was not one game. we have not stopped the run against good running teams all year or last year. We have not beaten a team with a winning record this year save KC during its mid-season meltdown that is now corrected. KC has the players to make such correction and a stout OL and DL. Not us.
-
don’t know why you trust him. He drafted Ford (trading up), traded up for Edmunds, and drafted Basham last year over all-pro Creed Humphry. Yeah, this guy can’t Id elite or above average ol or dl talent.
-
great, unbridled optimisim. It’s nice to see, but I bet we felt the same way with Kelly, or the Dolphins with Marino, or the Marvin Lewis Bengals with Dalton. This team is a better comp to the latter two right now than even the 90 Bills. We are deficient in many key positions (ol, dl, rb).

Can we discuss our premium defensive draft picks?
RyanC883 replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall
yeah, highest pressure rate playing terrible qb’s. Kind of like our number 1 D ranking. A hilarious facade. -
well, stopping Kamara and Ingram will be interesting. At least the Saints D is not great on paper (then again, neither is the Jags).

Last year's awesome season actually hurt us this year
RyanC883 replied to Sharky7337's topic in The Stadium Wall
its like they thought they could win with good wb and wr play and average talent on the lines and at RB. That has never worked. -
Time to bring out the pitchforks for Beane ?
RyanC883 replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall
AZ won today. The Steelers went 8-8 in a year without Ben starting Duck Hodges. -
Well, lets see. KC has an OL and a few dominant D lineman. No one left KC for dead. Also, they have won a SB. The Bills have yet to beat a team with a winning record this year.

draft better. evaluate talent better. , we have been awful in these areas. we lack the talent to compete or depth.

Josh Allen: Bills aren’t executing and that starts with me
RyanC883 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
nor with Bean, horrid drafts. Listening to KC game on way home and it was painful hearing how Creed Humphrey who we should have drafted was blasting guys at the second level. -
likely the same people drafting average talent.
-
MCD is Marvin Lewis. And this team is headed toward being the Marvin Lewis Bengals. Talented, but nothing special. Will beat up inferior teams and perhaps put a surprise upset or two, but make no impact in the playoffs, etc. I hope this is not the case, but this is certainly the teams trajectory.
-
Zero Depth. Bean has stacked average picks upon average picks. The D line rotation scares no one, and the OL is awful.
-
DeCastro does indicate that he could play again after the injury. Unclear where he is in that process, but my gosh there have to be people better than Hart available.
-
Levy was a terrible GM. Levy was a terrible GM.
-
Great. lose the Wildgoose right before Thanksgiving!
-
he benefited immensely from the Steelers OL at that time. He would wait for a hole, then hit it and use his speed and elusiveness to avoid LBs and the secondary. Guy needs a huge hole to run through.

I have lots of votes in this time for Bills. Parentheses of who I think makes it: QB Allen (Yes) WR: Diggs (Yes) TE: Knox (Yes, he has the most TDs of TEs, and I think he keeps playing at a high level) SS: Poyer (Yes) FS Hyde (Yes) CB White (No, lack of Int's harm him. At least from the public vote portion, where is is listed right next to people with zero stats. He also has less tackles, which is a good thing since people are not throwing his way or he is breaking up passes). ST: McKenzie (Yes, his return average appears to be the top) ST: Bass (Yes) ST: Matakevich (Yes, I think he is a well known name in terms of ST and has played well). LS: Furgeson (Yes. Not only does he snap for Bass, but, he will get votes form MIA fans as well. Be cool to see him and his bro at the game). Notable Non-Votes: Did not see Milano, would have voted for him, did they have LBs in the votes? Would not have voted for Edmunds. Great player at times, but still too inconsistent. That said, I think Edmunds makes it while Milano does not, which is maddening.

not sure what your point is here. My point is that in the last two drafts, we seem to have whiffed mightily in the 2nd round. Allen was a 1st round pick.

Beast Mode will be the Bills Legend of the game this Sunday
RyanC883 replied to OrtonHearsaWho's topic in The Stadium Wall
they were both great in Buffalo, and brought different aspects. The Spiller pick was head scratching in its stupidity. this is a great point. He was a great player on the field, but he made it clear he did not want to be here. Why on earth is Pegs brining him to Lead the Charge or whatever. Just nonsense. that's good to know. The front office was a disaster at that point, perhaps it came from Buddy Nix and his incomprehensible inability to spot talent unless he was giving it away for nothing.
