iMiller's injury is a tough one to bounce back from to the level we expect at his price tag.  I hope he recovers to 100%, but at age 33, is that likely?

As much as we've invested in defense via the draft, plus our obvious need on the OL, will we be needing a Von Miller "replacement"?  Draft/FA?

Honestly, this may be unpopular, but I think they need a new mind running the defense. Where is the creativity in the defense? It's too simple, no stunts, no disguise. Come playoff time, better coaches take Frazier's lunch money. How many years will this be the case before they make a change? Having a top five defense in the regular season has done nothing for them come playoff time.

    I thought this was interesting.

As we look ahead, many posters (myself included) see the offensive line as a top priority in off season.

With a guy like Tunsil (albeit a LT) hoping to reset the market, it’ll be interesting to see how this could impact what the market and then what the Bills will eventually do to address interior concerns.

Shout out to the Schnowman for coming in at the 14th highest paid LT this season, and showing up as a stout player. This was a good deal for the bills.

I have never liked players who are on losing teams and declare that they want to be paid higher than anyone at the position. Where is the "I want to win" commentary? Jason Peter 2.0

I really respect Chris Simms as he is the anti-average-talking-head-that-vomits-words-out-of-his-mouth type of analyst, so i’m a little concerned. Has Tre been that bad!?

No he has not. Chris Simms often makes ridiculous claims. Maybe he wants attention, I don't know. But whatever it is, I don't care. I have never put much credence in what Chris Simms says.

I somehow didn't know this, but the collapse of the Broncos has people talking. Russell Wilson has a whole entourage surrounding him, including:

    - personal QB coach, often onsite (whose advice may conflict with the official coaching staff)

    - social media assistants, also getting in the way

    - personal office in the team training complex, so he can, umm, attend to his other commitments

    - nutritionist/personal chef

Not to mention his wife, and the more typical demands like extra hotel suites when on the road.

This is all fine and dandy when you're winning (right, Tom Brady?).

     https://denverfan.com/2099516/why-its-no-big-deal-that-russell-wilson-has-an-entourage-with-him/

But when things go south, the resentment over preferential treatment bubbles up to the surface. And it's boiling over right now, with lots of local Colorado media talking openly about it, and about how the new coaching staff needs to rein this stuff in (assuming that it's not written into that now-horrific Wilson contract).

Question: which other NFL QBs have similar "teams" surrounding them? I know Mahomes has his official groupies, but what about Josh? Rodgers?

The question now is, what does that organization do now? The coach lost his job, but how does the GM keep his? This trade will go down as one of the biggest heists in NFL history, if not the biggest. This will set them back for years.

I get it, it’s a simple play that should be executed cleanly most of the time, but bad snaps do happen. Watching , I was definitely more tense before that play than watching Josh miss a 5 yard pass he should make in his sleep. There’s just no point lamenting each missed play in a loss. Teams lose games and all that matters is the next one. The Bills have a great opportunity and control their own destiny.

No, you really don't get it. When was the last time you saw a team lose a game because they didn't execute the end of game kneel down? All those other plays can be "what ifs" . This was unique, which is why I brought it up. It was a game they literally had won, and gave it away. Josh missing a pass is all part of football. We NEVER see end of game victory formation fumbles. If you can think of one in the last 50 years, let me know. I think there was one in the 70s. All the other things you mentioned happen every week in the NFL.

  6. Nick Foles looked like he was 50 years old. I could not believe he's only 33. Jeff Saturday needs to go back to ESPN. How does he keep playing Foles when it was obvious to everyone that Foles was awful? The cherry on top was a Foles quarterback sneak on a fourth and one. He looked like my grandmother was trying to get the yard. Then Saturday challenges it, when it was obvious it was not even close, lol. I cannot see Saturday coming back as head coach of this team.

Or if they could complete a 5 yard TD pass Vs MIA , or convert a chip shot FG, or Davis hangs on to a TD catch, or if they could beat the Jets with Wilson at QB… etc etc see how easy this is ? You could do this for any team unless they go undefeated. No team plays their best for 17 games and other teams in the league have good players that make plays from time to time. You can’t pin it on any one loss when none were blowouts. They all count the same in the standings. The Bills have a great shot to earn the #1 overall seed and home field thought on their own. They don’t need to rely on other teams to do this for them. That’s a great situation to be in with just 2 weeks remaining.

You don't get it. When was the last time you saw a team lose when all they had to do was snap the ball? All of the other things you mentioned are not flukes. This was a fluke that we won't see again for another 50 years. And if they lose Monday, this fluke loss will come back to bite them. Nothing wrong with saying this because it's true. I CAN pin it on a game that they had won, and gave it away. Snap the ball, kneel down, game over. Don't think I'm predicting a loss on Monday by saying this. I feel they are good enough to win.

Funny, all the Tua is better than Allen talk is now the same people declaring Tua a fraud, choke artist, etc and demanding they move on.

I mean all the talk was how the Dolphins had a moral victory playing Bills close this past week in the cold…now it’s time to draft a QB all of a sudden.  Love it, nice Xmas present to see fins fans and the team melting down 😂

Some fun Xmas reading here ladies and gents…Merry Xmas

Even when they were proclaiming Tua better than Josh, we all knew, if given the option, they would take Josh in a heartbeat!! It's Josh and Patrick, then everyone else.

I was really hoping that current DTV sat subs would be able to still get NFLST via Sat feed however announcements today appear to make it exclusive offering from YTTV.

If you are a current DTV subscriber will you continue?  For me it looks like a very easy decision to walk away.  I moved in middle of October and kept the sat subscription so I could continue to access NFLST via the ST App.  My HOA provides spectrum Internet and cable as part of our base fees so I was in No hurry to install dish on new home since NFLST a is the main reason I went to DTV in 1996.

I personally hate this decision since I a think the directv hardware is great, fast switching, whole home DVR, PIP and many other features that do not exist in any of  these streaming services that I am aware of.

wondering about others will you stay or will you go?

Direct TV offers little for the money I pay. I was getting the package for free every year, so I stayed. So, as you said, it's an easy decision to walk away.

With so many people wanting to jump off of a cliff or burn it all to the ground after a mid-season, divisional, road loss, I thought I would TRY to provide a little bit of perspective and hope.

Looking into the past 5 Super Bowl winners, they all had points in their seasons where their fans likely assumed it was “a lost cause, all the players sucked, they were cursed and/or they probably should fire everyone.”

2021 Rams (12-5): Lost 3 games in a row (weeks 9-12 w/the bye in-between).  Got beaten by SF twice including a 31-10 loss in week 10 and a loss in the season finale.

2020 Bucs (11-5): Lost 3 out of 4 mid-season (weeks 9-12) including a 38-3 thrashing by the Saints.  Brady, I’m sure, was washed up, Arians had no idea how to coach, it was a failed experiment and they all needed to be fired.

2019 Chiefs (12-4):  Lost 4 of 6 (Week5 – 10).  This was the season where Mahomes was injured and missed some time.  The initial fears on his injury were significant but he ended up only missing 2 games.  The Chiefs went 1-1 in those games.

2018 Pats (11-5): Lost 2 of their last 4.  Got stomped by Tennessee in week 10.  Lost in week 14 in Miami on that crazy last second lateral walk-off play.  They’d lose the next week against Pittsburgh to drop their record to 9-5.  Their worst record through 14 games since 2008.  I’m sure the sky definitely wasn’t falling in New England (sarcasm).

2017 Eagles (13-3):  They were fairly dominant throughout their regular season but lost Wentz in week 13 for the season. It was their second loss and dropped their record to 10-2.  I’m sure the Eagles fans felt cursed at the time.  Had a “why can’t we have nice things” mentality.   A sentimentality that I have seen expressed this week on this forum.

Point being, Super Bowl caliber teams still lose an occasional game.  Especially on the road against divisional rivals.

This is a great perspective! Of course it doesn't mean the Bills will win the Super Bowl but the Bills still have a pretty good shot at it.

    Well good on Josh

But Zach should have thrown both of the late picks against the cheats out of boands not into traffic with a noodle arm.

    Just saying

If you watched the game, the Patriots could not move the ball on the Jets defense. They are no joke. The Bills better be ready because the jets are going to be ready. This is like their Superbowl. Wilson won't be throwing them the ball like he did with the Pats.

With all the injuries this week, it's been a little tougher to predict an impact player since there are so many possibilities of how the defense could scheme to cover weaknesses/injury.

I'm going with Jordan Poyer (JP). Even though he's questionable, Leslie Frazier alluded to players being able to play when they know the scheme well and go through their mental reps well. I hoping he's hinting at JP playing with those type of statements.

Here's my reasoning for picking him. He could very well have a very strong behind the scenes impact. Even though Jaquan Johnson is solid and are two rookies are capable and growing each and every play, it still helps to have a veteran back there who's seen it all. JP will be able to instinctually see things that they may not see yet. JP is also a very good communicator which provides a solid presence for the other three.

On top of this, JP has been balling out and already has 2 INTs on the year. That said, even if he doesn't get the stats, his impact will be felt in the ways I described above.

Weather.com is saying right now 40% chance of rain...scattered thunder storms.

Normally I hate bad weather but I do think this highly favors us.  Miami can only throw (maybe) and rain slows down Hill, plus Tua is small.  He is erratic a lot in good conditions, make that ball wet....he's going to look like Nathan Peterman.

I think our biggest concern are the injuries to our defense, not the weather.

I thought the new synthetic grass like turfs were designed to reduce injuries but apparently this is still an issue and it seems the battle over this is getting more and more heated between the NFL and NFLPA. I had no idea this was a hot button issue.

Players claiming it reduces their playing careers and causes injuries they wouldn't have gotten otherwise...many are pointing to the OBJ injury as one that wouldn't have happened on grass...they have a point...an NFL study done by it's injury and safety panel looking at data between 2002-2008 showed there was an 88% greater chance for an ACL injury and a 32% greater chance for an ankle injury on FieldTurf versus natural grass.

Owners like the synthetic fields because they are easier and cheaper to maintain and allow them to host more events that make money outside of football...

NFL is trying to take the middle path and work to develop new materials that have the best of both worlds but time seems to be running out with the NFLPA...would not be surprised to see this as a hot topic in the next CBA if something doesn't change...
