  1. Rather than repeat everything that I have posted on the subject, I will incorporate by reference all of my previous posts responding to people who repeatedly love to trash Roscoe.

In a nutshell, we should keep Roscoe. Field position (especially for our offense) is extremely important. Also, I would love to see how defenses plan on defending TO, Lee, Roscoe, and/or Josh when they are out there together.

I agree, great punt returners can change games. Also, I doubt that Atlanta would be willing to part with much in return. At this point I am not sold on Parrish as a reciever. I'm not sure if it's the coaching not putting him in a position to use his ability, or him. I do admit I would like to see him in this new offense. He shows such great ability on punt returns that I want so bad to see that ability work in the offense. I hope they keep him, But I think its a make or break year for him if he wants to prove he can be a reciever in this league.

  2. This is true.

Parrish would be useless in the slot/running slants. He gets splattered if he catches the ball.

He's not Welker. He's not Tasker--those are tough guys.

When his defender is on him before the ball is in his hands (i.e., when he is lining up as WR), the "electicity" rarely is swithced on.

I think you raise a legitimate point about his size and therefore his ability to stay healthy. Tasker was a good punt returner when he did it, but was not in Roscoe's class. Tasker was mainly a special teams guy but played reciever sparingly towards the end of his career. If i remember correctly, he ended up getting hurt because of it.

  3. I actually don't mind your opinions on the Bills. I think you have to have the varying opinions to keep everyone honest. Sometimes you do go a little overboard with the post topics.

What really bugs the hell out of me is when you post something absurd and ridiculous and then quote yourself and answer, usually before anyone else posts on it. Also, you have a way of taking over the thread once you start posting in it. If you really want to respond to all those people, you could keep it to one post.

Aside from that, I'm fine with whatever you post about the Bills. It's completely understandable that fans show their support for the Bills in varying ways. Some people want to see the positive behind the team, others look at the negative. Some people are jaded by all the years of losing while some feel like they should be hopeful (positive energy). The thing is that rarely is anyone right. You can back up all of your assertions with whatever statistics you can find, but one thing that seems obvious is that no one gets it right. For this reason some people just shut the hell up, hope for the best, and try not to stick their foot in their mouth before the season even starts.

Marv Levy once said that there was a percentage of people from any particular football city that rooted against the team in the area in which they resided. I believe this to be true. There will always be people who live in western new york who will be critical of the Bills no matter what. Some people who live here just don't want the "home" team to do well. They want things to go badly for the Bills. I am not saying that we cannot be critical of the Bills. THey certainly have deserved some criticism. But there will always be those who just don't want the Bills to succeed.
