  1. Number 10 is included in your first reason unless you feel Tom Brady has some sort of Mystical powers that go beyond the fact he plays for the Patriots.. The D-Line most certainly will be able to play run defense. No sign that Freddy is too old and they have Spiller to ease his work load. It's hard to win in the NFL for all the teams you listed also.
  2. Look, this is Preseason. I have been watching enough football over the years to realize that preseason means little. Does it mean the Bills will be good? Of course not. But it doesn't mean they will be bad either. It's preseason. I'm going to make my assesment after week one. I guarantee if the Bills were playing Minnesota during the regular season it would be an entirely different game. These preseason games mean nothing. Do they count in the standings? No. Do they matter? No. Just stay healthy. That's all that matters.
  3. I'm thinking that David Lee, while trying to fix Fitz's mechanics has maybe caused him to be less accurate. Fitz was very inaccurate Friday night. Worse that I've ever seen. Sometimes when a quarterback tries to change the way he is used to throwing, he starts to think too much about what he's doing rather than just throwing the ball. it may just take more time for Fitz to become comfortable throwing wiht the new and improved mechanics. Hopefully that will be the case. But there is also a chance that Fitz may have been better off left alone.
  4. I'll judge her on her competency, not her gender. No reason a female can't be a good ref.
  5. That might work. Good suggestion
  6. Shortly thereafter, Cowboys’ vice-president of public relations/communications Rich Dalrymple chimed in with a reminder that Jerry Likes leisurely walks at Ellicot Creek park, a common destination for glory hole seekers.
  7. OH NO!!!! Did You say "dream team"? have you been talking to Vince Young?
  8. Speaking of Ralph, haven't heard much from him lately
  9. I like your post, but if the Bills lose Fitz will take his share of the blame. It's the nature of the position. It comes with the job. Quarterbacks have to win or they get heat. It may or may not be fair but that's the way it is. I hope you're right about the 10 wins. Personally I think Fitz is more than capable of winning with a strong team around him. He's a competitor and is intelligent. His arm is not the strongest, but definately strong enough to get the job done. Hopefully his new coach will cause him to improve even more. I'm excited to see what happens.
  10. The Dolphins sure handled the Bills last year. Can't take that team lightly.
  11. If Fitzpatrick wins the Superbowl will he now move ahead of Jim Kelly as an Icon in Buffalo? I think it's a tough call. Jim Kelly is pretty much engrained here as an Icon. He has stuck around the area and has been a supporter of the team both outwardly and behind the scenes. Does winning a Superbowl vault Fitz past Jim Kelly?
  12. Backups don't get paid $10 million per year either. So obviously the fooball people think he's capable of winning with this team or they wouldn't have paid him.
  13. I don't think The Patriots will be sending out 5 recievers against our four man wrecking crew. They have to double team.If they send out 5 , that leaves 5 to block those four on the line. Won't happen.Brady might end up in one of those Buffalo hospitals he hates so much. wait...that was hotels..but anyway, if our corners are good enough to play tight one on one coverage, it will be a long day for Brady
  14. Yes he's had injury problems, but he just turned 28. So if he can stay healthy, he may have an upside Good post
  15. My point was only to show how tough the Bills defense could be. I know it wasn't a direct answer to the thread's topic. Sorry, can't help it if this defense has me a bit psyched
  16. I called anyway, asked why do new customers get the Sunday ticket for free and when does my contract expire. He said because I was a loyal custumer who paid on time always...I would be eligible for some discounts. I got the Sunday ticket for free for 2012 and a $30 discount on my bill for 12 months. Overall a $560 savings for the year. Not bad for a 15 minute call. Thanks cmjoyce113 for starting this thread.
  17. Fainting is not funny, but I found it amusing that the interviewer just kept on talking as if nothing was wrong. Didn't even walk over to Bruce.
  18. I see alot of responses with short passing being the answer. If The Bills can generate an effective pass rush with only 4 lineman rushing, then the short game can be neutralized with physical, in your face cornerback play and linebackers taking away the short passing lanes. As the Giants have showed, when a team can use only 4 lineman and can get to the quarterback or pressure him consistently, they are a very dificult defense to move the ball on. I think The Bills have this potential. Teams would have to keep the tightend in to help block and possibly a running back also.THis reduces the amount of weapons an offense can use. Really, any team that can consistently pressure the quarterback without sending extra rushers, is at a huge advantage over the offense.
  19. I don't think it's a sure thing Moorman makes the team this year.
  20. If Merriman is 80-90 percent of the player he was, it would be an upgrade for the Bills. Imagine if Merriman returned to the form he once had. This defense would be scary. In reality though, I'm skeptical that he can remain injury free or can recover enough to be a solid , consistent player. I hope he proves me wrong. It would be fun to watch if he does.
  21. By "go bills" do you mean you hope they move to LA?
