  1. Bummer. I would like this to happen just for the entertainment value here on TBD ?
  2. Think about this: How much QB experience, in the form of live game action, is currently on the Bills roster? No, don't think about it, it is really scary.
  3. This may be the silliest thread of the year ..... It's a look, see if he has anything, if so, great, he's a 3rd string QB, if not, so what, move on. It's got to be the nerves of the 1st game week.
  4. What does “LITERALLY” have to do with that sentence?
  5. This. They need a 3rd QB, if either NP or JA get hurt in a game, they’re a play away from Logan Thomas being the man. Unless, of course, that Rodgers guy is available.
  6. Having coached him for the past 6 months, he probably knows what NP can and can’t do well. Put the bottle down and go get some help.
  7. All this interest in DEs—waiver claims, free agent visit—something snells bad, is Murphy out????
  8. Burple should get some kind of award, he called this back in May. Congrats B.B. Give the man his due
  9. Good!!! But yes, but he needs to play better than he showed in the Cincy game
  10. I like what I read about both: https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2018/9/3/17814286/buffalo-bills-sign-ol-ruben-holcomb-dl-robert-thomas-to-practice-squad Let's hope and wish Holcomb become the next Jason Peters, or at least a reliable starter some day.
  11. Good analysis ChicagoRic. Nothing I disagree with. Your thoughts about the high probability of injury are interesting. I hope for him, not, but you may be very right in that observation.
  12. I find it interesting that not one guy signed from another team. These guys (Coach/GMScouts) seem to truly believe in themselves. Not sure how to interpret it, I guess we'll see.
  13. Well, for us, there is a lot of uncertainty. And no doubt the biggest is at QB. For all his faults, the one thing Tyrod could do was use his feet to bail out an average online, that got worse. The receiving core is the same--hopefully better with a healthier K Benjamin and more mature Z Jones. Defensively, in theory, our D-line and linebackers are supposed to be better, but it has not shown in the pre-season. Both are still an unknown. The secondary is solid, but there were some bad moments in the Cleveland and Cincinnati games. With all that being said, I think there is potential. Let's hope the brutal early schedule does not do them in.
  14. Like we needed another punter.
  15. I would assume they will be looking for someone for the practice squad--to run the scout team, in case of an injury with the other two (high odds with the line they playing behind), etc. Webb? Lynch? Gibert?
  16. it is baffling
  17. Of course, the Patriots are ... ugh
  18. The biggest risk here, a holder for field goal attempts. That could be a disaster if they don’t have a ready and reliable replacement.
  19. How bad is o-line play in the NFL when two rejects from our terrible line get claimed by other teams? “Four players the Bills cut on Saturday were claimed elsewhere around the league: Ike Boettger (Chiefs), Kaelin Clay (Giants), Adam Redmond (Cowboys) and Tanner Vallejo (Browns).” Or maybe, we’re not doing something right in Buffalo? Like our o-line coach?
  20. yeah, I know .... and while we appear to have a good one now in Dawkins. it still irks me we let a perennial all-pro go at one of the most important positions on the field because we didn't want to pay him ....I'll get over it someday, a few years after he is enshrined in Canton, maybe? ?
  21. Boy, they really want to be done with Colton Schmidt. until we let him walk away
  22. there were three on that list, take them all
