  1. That's a less than flattering trifecta. 😇 😂
  2. Why did they use the likeness of SNY's Ralph Vacchiano for Brandi Chastain? That unholy statue of Lucy was just a few miles from my aunt's house in Jamestown. I had my kids take a pic with it when they were younger...had to have that scary thing for posterity's sake. 😁
  3. Agree. I was 17 and crushed when they lost. Their 'Bermuda Triangle' defense was #1 in the NFL and there is no doubt in my mind that team would have beaten the Raiders in the AFC Championship Game and then the Eagles in the Super Bowl. That 1980 season was their first division title since 1966 and the first I was old enough to remember. That is still one of my favorite Bills teams/seasons of all-time despite the way that San Diego game ended. I took some small consolation in the fact that Bob Chandler won himself a Super Bowl (sadly, traded that year to Oakland for LB Phil Villapiano). Happy Birthday and many more, Fergy. 😊

  5. Thanks. I think a lot of us were starting to feel that the Thanksgiving game at Detroit was a real possibility.
  6. Thanks for the thorough analysis and the time you take to do it and share each year. I agree with your first sentence wholeheartedly and have thought WR or CB/CB or WR for quite a while; however, as we get closer, I keep feeling more and more that Daxton Hill may be the choice. No intel or 'inside info', just a hunch/'Spidey sense' tingling. Technically, he could be considered a CB choice as he has the versatility to play CB and slide to S later if/when Poyer is gone. Regardless of what happens, we'll know in less than a week. 'Draftnik' Christmas is coming. GO BILLS!!!
  7. He more or less said he didn't want it devolving into a split board arguing over which RB it should be.
  8. They grow up so fast. Like she was having an 0rgasm or like she'd seen a mouse?
  9. Some of it was due to the limited choices. I like Walker better than Hall but he wasn't presented as an option. I don't think Breece Hall is worthy of his own crusade thread. The Bills don't need him to be an 'elite' offense. That's nonsense.
  10. I was a baby during the Bills' AFL Championship days so I am not old enough to remember Mr. Lamonica's playing days but I remember my dad telling us about him and watching his cannon of an arm in old AFL highlight reels. Dad was a big fan of his and would have been 80 himself this December. Sad on a couple of levels for me. R.I.P., 'Mad Bomber'.
  11. It will be okay Close your eyes and think of Virg Grab some tissues, too
  12. I don't know if I have one 'favorite', per se, but I really, really liked these voices of my youth...Dick Enberg, Charlie Jones, & Kenmore's own Don Criqui.
  13. Who will the Bills draft The team picks at twenty-five Beane hopes for a stud
  14. I haven't done a mock on 'The Draft Network' where this many top choices fell into my lap. With most, there are no WRs I like at 25 and sometimes no CBs. All of the top RBs are always there but I refuse to take one. There was no trading allowed. That said... 25 (Round 1): I debated between McDuffie and Garrett Wilson and ultimately went with the CB. Had I known that Kyler Gordon would still be there at 57, I would have taken Garrett in Round 1. Decisions come with consequences but I'm thrilled to get McDuffie. 57 (Round 2): Gordon was the choice. All of the top RBs were still available so I decided to wait. WRs were getting thin but George Pickens and Calvin Austin were still there but I felt Gordon was the better value and the CB position is now rock solid with these first two selections. Not at all what I was expecting to do but I'm still feeling good about my decisions. 89 (Round 3): Pickens and Austin were gone and there were no WRs here that floated my boat. Breece Hall was still sitting there so I scooped him up. Happy to land him in the 3rd and the offense gets a boost despite no addition(s) yet at WR. Truth be told, I like Kenneth Walker III better but he was not an option having been taken by KC at #50 in Round 2. 130 (Round 4): I love Jelani Woods and his physical presence and massive upside. Charlie Kolar was an option here, as well, but I have a man crush on Jelani. Still no WR but I figured I still get a potential bump in the passing game here as well as a legit red zone target for Josh. 168 (Round 5): Finally grabbed a WR in Round 5. Wanted to take one sooner but I outlined above why I didn't so the choices were getting thin. Romeo Doubs was the choice. Good size (6' 2', 200 lbs) and speed to take the top off of a defense and good separation skills. 185 (Round 6): A little late in the game for IOL, as well, but that's how the board fell and taking two CBs at the top weakened the ability to grab a 'higher profile' player. Cade Mays was the choice here. Versatile. Played all five OL positions in his time at both Georgia and Tennessee (which we all know is a coveted trait by McDermott) but projects to guard. 203 (Round 6): Opted for some LB help/depth with the selection of Micah McFadden. Would be the Mike in Frazier's 4-3 as a backup or possible short-term replacement for Edmunds. Solid tackler, decent in zone coverage, and can get after the QB, if needed. 231 (Round 7): P Matt Araiza was still sitting there with the last pick so this was a no-brainer. I know he is being projected to go anywhere from the 2nd to the 5th by some pundits but he is still regularly available in the 6th and 7th Rounds in just about every mock draft I do over several sites. We're now ten days from the NFL Draft and this has not changed. Anyway, that was my thinking with the choices for this particular mock.
  15. Not counting late afternoon Sunday games...5.
  16. Never, ever start a thread with this. It's an immediate 'ignore' flag.
  17. Skyy Moore (WR - Western Michigan) Darrian Beavers (LB - Cincinnati)
  18. Yeah, you can't but that's fine. You do you.
  19. We'll see if anything changes under Steve Cohen and gives you more tangible evidence. The Mets have been run like a small market club for most of their existence. In any event, I'm not going to belabor the point about whether it's a NL town or not. You're not changing your mind regardless.
  20. I've followed baseball my whole life and have family in NYC, as well. I've read enough and heard enough over the tears to know that it is a National League town. Despite their dominance in the '40s and '50s, the Yankees were still not as popular as the Dodgers and Giants. They were mostly middling to bad the majority of the '60s and '70's until George Steinbrenner bought them and they won back-to-back titles in in '77 and '78 before fading into obscurity again in the '80s. The rise of their dynasty in the '90s put them in the forefront of the minds of even casual fans. They are the more storied franchise for sure but NYC is still widely considered a NL town in baseball circles.
  21. I know arguing with people is your thing but when both teams are doing well, the Mets own that town and it's not even close. The Dodgers and Giants were both more popular than the Yankees before they moved West in the 1950s. The Yankees are the team of the bougie. The Cowboys of baseball. Before their departure, the Dodgers and Giants were and the Mets have been since 1962, the team(s) of the blue collar fan.
  22. The Skanks are not better than the Mets. And NYC has always been and always will be a National League town.
  23. Brian Asamoah (LB, Oklahoma) Isaiah Likely (TE, Coastal Carolina)
