  1. It could be worse. Like this abomination...
  2. @Gugny @SinceThe70s @Another Fan Welcome to 2024, gents. I hope this finds you all well after the holidays and yet another sickening Bills exit from the playoffs. Between that, the Sabres continued ineptitude, and the Mets looking like 'also rans' this coming year (an all too familiar feeling) along with Pete Alonso's impending free agency at year's end, it seems like this is destined to be yet another lost sports year in the flotsam and jetsam of my fandom. But I digress... I concur with you both on the Joe McEwing point. Loved that dude. He's the kind of versatile 'glue guy' that every good team needs. He was a fantastic utility player. This off-season has been underwhelming and losing out on Yamamoto felt worse than it probably was. I know there will likely never be a hard cap in baseball but the system is broken. I can't stand the fugging Dodgers. That stunt they pulled by signing Ohtani to a record $700M contract and deferring all of it but $2M per year and then inking Yamamoto to a $325M mega deal was complete bs. Although they were within the rules as currently constructed, it was way outside of the 'spirit of the law', IMO. They found a loophole and exploited it (good for them) but MLB needs to shut down that garbage. I don't think it's good for the game. Then again, they don't care what I think as a long time fan of the sport. There is another Japanese phenom named Roki Sasaki who will probably be headed to MLB in a couple of years who is supposedly a better pitcher than Yamamoto. He's only 22 and is the youngest pitcher to ever throw a perfect game in Japan. He would fit into the Mets timeline of wanting to "seriously challenge for a World Series". Remember the name. You heard it here first (or maybe you didn't. lol) Lastly, aside from missing out on Yamamoto, my biggest gripe with the organization is failing to address the DH position. I know they want to see what Vientos can do and determine what they have in him but I'm sick of that position being a continual blackhole. Enough is enough already. They claim that they are going to be competitive this year, if not WS contenders (whatever the hell that means) and Mark Vientos at DH will not accomplish that. Go out and at least sign a one or two year stop gap like Turner, Martinez, or Soler (my choice). Bummed about the Mauricio injury (wanted to see if he was the answer at 3B). I did like signing Ottavino again to a one year deal. Come on Spring Training. Can't wait for pitchers and catchers to report! LGM!
  3. Getting raw dogged by Kermit will have that effect on a gal.
  4. I wonder if the DVD 'Extras' has an alternative ending we can all watch?
  5. Will Kermit cry about that called back Rice TD not being a part of his eventual HOF highlight reel?
  6. The only solace for me in the Ravens not winning would be watching a Harbaugh get bounced.
  7. The MVP is awarded for regular season play. The regular season is over.
  8. Looks like Tarzan in the regular season, plays like Jane in the playoffs.
  9. That batted Lamar pass caught by Lamar was sick. 🤣
  10. Huge stop there on 4th by the Ravens D. Could be a game changer.
  11. Will Gru be replaced by 'Kermit The Frog' wearing a red #15 jersey?
  12. An explosive play by the Ravens for a TD. Bu...but...I thought the "impenetrable" Chefs D was elite.
  13. I'm neither excited nor disappointed in this hiring. I was resigned to it. It felt inevitable given the m.o. during this period of time with McDermott under Pegula. If Brady sucks, the Bills are in trouble. If he's very good, he will be hired away as a HC somewhere after a year or two and Josh will be on to yet another OC. Rinse & repeat. It's the single biggest reason I wanted McD replaced by an offensive minded coach. This will be a never-ending cycle for 17's career as long as he is elite. Any owner in this day and age of football who still considers hiring a DC as his HC is, at best, completely unaware of how the game is now played or, at worst, acutely obtuse.
  14. Best to you and the kids in this trying and stressful time. Stay strong for them and keep the faith. 🙏
  15. It's a no win situation for the fans. Even if Morris turns out to be decent, they will have to endure a never-ending revolving door of OCs like Bills fans. I can't believe that any front office in this day and age would even consider hiring a defensive-minded person as their HC. Have fun, Atlanta.
  16. I mean, a little common sense should prevail, no? Red is KC's primary color...no es bueno hoy!
  17. So, if the game was a win and in the '70s, then you either saw the Chiefs in 1973 (very topical considering the opponent today) or the Raiders in 1974 (the Ahmad Rashad game). Those '70s teams were pretty sad with winning records in only '73, '74 (playoffs), & '75 and only 7 MNF appearances (2-5 record). That decade was my indoctrination into the Bills as a little kid. The kids today have it much easier with these Bills. 😁
  18. Hopefully, Kevin Kolb does not plan on attending...
  19. Drac, I don't mean to spoil your memories but, if you have the game correct, the Bills did not win. If OJ really was on the team, the Bills certainly did not win. He was traded to the 49ers prior to the 1978 season and the Bills were '0 for the '70s' against the Dolphins. They only played Miami once on MNF in the '70s (1976) and lost, 30-21. Hopefully, you meant another game. Concur, mup. I'm so glad that my two sons, now in their early 20s, get to experience 'The Josh Allen Experience' and to soak in this iteration of the Bills like I got to do in my 20s with Jim Kelly and the Super Bowl era Bills teams. Much like your buddy, I wish my mom, dad, and grandma could have been around to see Josh and this team. These opportunities are fleeting and I may not get to witness another generational talent at QB. I want to experience one Bills Super Bowl win with my loved ones and the good people on this board before it's my time to slip into the great abyss. GO BILLS!!!
  20. Just imagine if you were a Packer fan. Woof.
  21. He's not good but his brother is one of the best in the league. Too bad the Packers couldn't have swapped them out.
  22. It's the old cliche, "good teams find a way to win". The 49ers were the better team coming in, even if they didn't play like it tonight. It's unfortunate that Green Bay couldn't hang on but there are no style points awarded for a win or a loss. Survive and advance. San Francisco did just that and this game has no bearing on their next. I'm sure the Lions and the Bucs would much rather have taken their chances against the Packers.
