What other teams released their week 1 starter outright this season so far? 1/4 of the league? They are laughing at the Bills management.

Not just the billionaire owners, but the multi-millionaire players. How else can the players continue to get absolutely stupid salaries. For example: Brady 18 million Eli Manning: 16.3 million Payton Manning: Soon to be more than 18 million Brady now getting more than 1 million ... that's right, a 1 with 6 zeros ... per game for the regular season. That is just mind numbingly stupid money. That money has to come from somewhere. Even at 18 games a season, he still walks away with a cool million every Sunday. Plenty of greed to go around in the NFL. It isn't confined to just the owners.

What the media is criticizing is quite simple. Edwards was "the guy" after Nix/Gailey watching old tape, training camp, numerous practices, and preseason. So after 2 games he is no longer "the guy", and 1 day after the benched game he is released outright. Not so that they can sign someone else ... just because. If anyone outside of the Bills nation mentions the Bills now, they have yet another reason to laugh.

I thought they should have gotten rid of him, but strictly for money reasons. Still think he is a capable backup, nothing more. NE's defense is seemingly pretty weak this season. If Fitz (the offense, not kickoff returns etc) can put up 23 points again this week with solid drives against the Jets defense then I would have to re-evaluate for sure.

Depends I guess. Do they try and get a starter or do they ride Fitz out for the rest of the season.

When the Bills tried to pull the pats offsides on 4th and 1. I thought the Bills called timeout before the play clock expired, but I also thought they had called timeout right before that, which would be a penalty. I saw Bellicheat pissed off after that, and I assume that's what he thought as well. Am I not remembering correctly or did the the Bills catch a break?

100% agree. Not just the correct call, but really the only call in that case. Gonads don't win games. Intelligent coaching does.

Color me surprised. This was one week that I did not expect "the refs hate the Bills" threads or even posts. Yet there still are a few. I guess they happen whenever the Bills lose. But if you are on that topic, how about the block in the back on the Spiller kickoff return TD? I don't see that particular missed call brought up much As to the Maybin call, I happen to hate that rule. But it is the rule.

It's not just him. Did you watch any of the sunday night pregame last night? When they talked about the Bills/Pats game it wasn't how Fitz or Gailey, or the Bills offense did well. It was how the Pats should be worried that a team like Buffalo could score 30 points against them. Same old same old. You don;t get any respect unless you earn it on the field, and for more than 1 game.

We should try and control our excitement just a little. Yes, Fitz played a good game. And the OL did their part by giving him time. But the Pats defense is not very good this year, particularly the secondary. Lets see what Fitz and company can do against a decent defense this Sunday before we start making superbowl reservations

I do have to give Gailey props this week. He saw that the Jets tore up the pats secondary last week and did all that he could to do the same. Good game plan this week for sure.

I like it better when he is on the radio ... because I watch on TV Yeah, he really is pathetic.

This game was classic Fitz. Generally plays well but misses high a lot resulting in INTs. This game shows exactly why he is a career backup. But that being said, all in all he had a good game.

Geez, I hope all sharp objects have been removed from his house.

Based on your optimistic view bolded above, and some of the threads I just read, I'd say not even 1 win is needed.

Stupid analogy. 1) With the glass they cannot hang signs on the boards. 2) The inside of the board is in the field of play. 3) The NHL already sells advertising there. 4) You can, and sometimes do, see people holding up signs on the glass and they are not stopped unless they are blocking someone elses view.
