  1. I don't think I know anyone who believes this. Hopes for it yes, but believes it no.
  2. Interesting ... With all the current budget problems I'm surprised this has remained untapped.
  3. Well technically smokers are committing suicide. Just a prolonged one. The shower comment isn't a statement that smokers are bad people. But you might be surprised at how much it does stink and how easily it makes clothing etc. stink. If I am in someones house and there are people smoking in the room, my kids will ask why I stink when I get home. It is a disgusting habit and I am 100% for having smoking being banned indoors at public places. The removal of a smoking area at the Ralph seems a bit silly to me. But I guess the Bills are following King Rogers edict that NFL games will be family friendly someday. But to remove a smoking area but let drunk people come into the stadium and continue to buy alcohol until after halftime makes no sense to me if family friendly is the goal (no need to rehash that the NFL makes money from alcohol sales ).
  4. How does overpaying for a clothing item equate to getting a life?
  5. Probably someone will be interested if the price and contract is right. I suspect somewhere in the NFL before last season there was a thread started titled: "Shawne Merriman ...who will be interested now?"
  6. They have a rating system I believe similar to ebay. But the best way I think is to get a recommendation from someone you know so you can take a look at theirs and see what you think.
  7. DHGate is a collection of companies in China. So it is possible to hook up with one with bad knockoffs. But the Bills and Sabres ones I have gotten from them have been very good quality. Right down to the holographic "seal of authenticity" which I thought was a nice touch I can't imagine myself paying full price for those things, particularly when buying multiples for kids etc. But some people aren't upset that they paid too much, they don't like the idea of the NFL not getting their (several hundred percent) markup from people who buy the fakes. I sent a message to a seller there yesterday asking when the new Bills ones would be available. 10 minutes later I had a response saying he was not sure and was going to ask his manufacturer and get back to me. So I would imagine it won't be too long before they start appearing. I don't know anyone personally who has gotten a bad one in any sport or team. Like any online purchase though you should check out their rating at least, or better get a recommendation from someone on a good seller.
  8. I looked at dhgate this morning and couldn't tell if the ones claiming to be 2011 were the new style or not, the sleeves were so different.
  9. Hmmm. I wonder how long before they show up on the Chinese sites. I just looked and didn't see any that were very close to the actual.
  10. Now now leave him be. After all the truth hurts (Sorry, couldn't resist )
  11. Yeah a friend reminded me of the locker room remodel late yesterday. Said he saw PR pictures of Ruff and others swinging sledge hammers. I agree with your take on the Sabres event, a lot of fun. Rayzor is always a fun guy to talk to, very personable particularly with kids.
  12. It would be very impressive if 15,000 showed up for an event like that in the rain. I wouldn't put it past Bills fans.
  13. Could very well be, particularly if it's not raining. But for me having my kids meet some players and get autographs and play some floor hockey in the arena seems like more fun than watching a fashion show and a movie we have all seen before. That's just me though. Enjoy.
  14. 1) Who gives a **** if they were drinking a mixed drink or a shot and a beer. 2) Maybe they were drinking virgin drinks because, oh I don't know, maybe they (hopefully) have a season starting soon and they are getting themselves ready for it.
  15. +1 Not sure what his cap hit is now, but that could be a problem.
  16. That would only demonstrate how far back they had to go to show a time when the Bills were relevant. They are in a difficult position. Nothing recent that's any good to show of the Bills, but they almost have to show something more than some dudes modelling a uniform. For me the place to be is HSBC arena. Last year they gave tours of the locker room. Hope they do the same this year.
  17. Fezmid is correct. This is not the same as putting a splitter on your cable TV coax.
  18. I think you are nuts. Even if they believed the Bills will be leaving WNY what incentive do the good ole boys have for taking a big gamble? If the Bills move, they have a good chance of being retained and simply move with the team. They seem to have a rebuild plan in mind and would have to be stupid to do as you suggest.
  19. Very nice of you! For others, we got ours on stubhub for $9 per ticket. Don't be a sucker (like I have been in previous years) and buy the kids tickets for $10 while paying full price for the adults from the Bills ticket office.
  20. A uniform is "exciting" ?? I guess we agree to disagree there. I can't imagine anything less important or exciting regarding a sports franchise. There are plenty of things to do on a Friday night, particularly when that Friday night is in the very short WNY time of year when outdoor things are enjoyable to almost everyone. The robot mentioned a few above. With me just relaxing with friends and family is up there. Watching a sales pitch cleverly disguised as a fashion show is not one of them ... at least not to me. But like you said to each his/her own.
  21. My opinion is how hard up do you have to be for something to do on a Friday night to go to an "event" that consists of someone walking out onto the field to model a new uniform (and of course to get you into the Bills Store to buy jerseys of said uniform). To those who view it strictly as an excuse to tailgate ... OK, I get that. But to the rest of you who are excited by this ... seriously?????
  22. The NFL does not give a rats ass about where they are geographically. They only care about where they are economically. The bolded part is excellent advice for everyone. There is nothing to gain from worrying about things 100% outside of your control.
  23. Just saw that, slide 7 in particular fits several of the discussions in this thread.
  24. My wife called the Bills ticket office to confirm and they did, the kids day preseason game this year (assuming they are playing by then) is on Saturday August 27 at 7pm against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
  25. Yeah that's one of the more disgusting aspects of that addiction. I once saw someone throw one out the window of his car when he was parked and asked why he didn't use the ashtray in his car. He responded that he didn't want to get the ashtray dirty and didn't want his car to stink.
