  1. Let them believe a lease can never be broken and can force a new owner to stay somewhere they do not wish to stay. As you said, it makes them feel better. And at the end of the day there is really no harm believing anything until there is a new owner and that owner makes it clear what they intend on doing with the team.
  2. I never understood this. Why does standing make you any more involved in the game than sitting? You can't make noise when you are seated? I could just as easily say, if you want to be a douche and stand all game, stay at home.
  3. Only if I went to the game so I can see what I missed.
  4. So what was the purpose of releasing that statement at all then? I know the wording left open possibilities, but why bother making the statement if it had no meaning?
  5. But he would have to sell the Bruins. And they would not have bothered to make this statement if he had any intentions of buying the Bills, so game over. Move on and discuss any other white knights like Pegula.
  6. That's the best attitude to have in my opinion. Because unless Mrs. Wilson is lurking here, there isn't anything any one of us can do about it.
  7. Like most other things anymore, Google And it agrees with the 300 million for Jon Bon Jovi. http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-athletes/nfl/jim-kelly-net-worth/
  8. Well Jim Kelly has an estimated net worth of 19 million, has zero experience, yet is considered by many to be in the running. JBJ in addition to having a higher net worth, has been an owner of a sports franchise before (Arena Football). Who knows who will end up owning the Bills. But Bon Jovi is no sillier than Jim Kelly in my mind.
  9. IMDB rating is 7.1 which is fairly average ... but only 10 people so far My wife ended up winning tickets to the preview yesterday but had to go herself due to some contest rule. She went with my daughter who enjoys sports and is a Bills fan. but not a hardcore football fan. FWIW, my daughter said the movie was "OK". And my wife really enjoyed it. My wife enjoying it is actually bad news because that means football content is minimal and the relationship stuff probably took the front seat.
  10. I've never really thought about that before. QB is definitely up there pretty high, but I'd have to give the nod to hockey goalie. They play the entire game, in a lot of pads, many games per season, have to make very quick reads very often in each game, play several games a week and even on consecutive nights, and one mistake can often cost the team a game. Second place probably soccer goalie for a lot of the same reasons. Not nearly as physically demanding as hockey goalie or QB, but it is a VERY large goal they are defending and as with hockey, soccer is generally a very low scoring game where one mistake by a goalie can decide it. QBs can and generally do make many mistakes a game and get away with it.
  11. Agreed But at the end of the day, Bills fans will support the person most likely to keep the Bills in Buffalo. There is some chance Trump would. Almost none Bon Jovi would.
  12. Given that both you and your child will certainly raise your granddaughter as a Bills fan, I'm sure she would be outraged in the future if she found out you did not do as Jay suggested!
  13. Well wifi for 50,000 ish people is no simple task. The radio stuff (wiring etc. around the stadium) is the simple part. You need a really REALLY fat pipe if that many people are going to be using it at the same time. Particularly if they plan on enhancing the "game day experience" in the stadium by providing access to replays and other video.
  14. Yeah at least here in Rochester there is. A couple theaters are showing it tonight but you can't buy tickets. A local radio station is giving them away.
  15. Yeah from 10 or 20 years ago
  16. I didn't see much that leads me to believe he will be a good starting QB at the NFL level. That's not to say he won't grow into being one someday however. But if Marrone and Whaley think he will that's good enough for me. Actually that's one of the things I like about him. He is level headed and can maintain control of his emotions. That's a quality an athlete in any sport either has or does not have, and it is very important to long term success in my opinion. Leave the cheerleading to the cheerleaders.
  17. US Netflix isn't any faster. If that's true then good for NYS. It's time billionaires like movie company execs and sports team owners stop getting handouts
  18. If my wife wins free tickets today my son and I will go tonight. Otherwise I will watch it at home at some point. I don't watch movies in theaters very often.
  19. That sucked when they were here on kids day. I had to pay about 10 times more for tickets that year than normal.
  20. The off season ... the time that Bills fans put the team in the top 10
  21. I think we both understand each other. We just disagree. You think being "the man" in a small place like Buffalo would have a lot of meaning to a person like Trump and I don't think that would matter much to him at all if he had the opportunity to become (not instantly, but build it over some time) "the man" in a larger more important market. Basically using your terminology, the minutes in Buffalo have far less quality than the minutes in a larger market. Agree to disagree.
  22. I actually think that you don't understand me. Terry Pegula doesn't necessarily have a big ego to go along with his big bucks. I'm not saying the two things are inexorably linked. What I am saying is that Trump has big bucks (at least today, who knows a year from now) and he also has a giant ego. Not all billionaires, this one in particular ... the Donald. Donald Trump might not crack the top 20 of attention getters in any large market that he might decide to move the team to. But there will still be more people giving him attention there than in tiny hole in the wall market Buffalo. Basically a big fish in a small pond (Buffalo) is considerably less attractive to an attention whore of the magnitude of the Donald than a smaller fish in a larger pond. In the larger pond there is room to grow.
  23. I have to admit, this made me laugh
  24. 1. Do you seriously think he is all about being a hero in Buffalo and that forces him to keep the team there? Really?? This is nonsense. Trump will do whatever makes him the most money and feeds his ego the most. Being the hero of people in dinky Buffalo NY is irrelevant. Mr. Media Whore would be loved by the people wherever he moved the team, and the bigger the market the better for his ego as well as his bottom line. Maybe he would end up keeping the Bills in Buffalo and maybe he would not. But he is by no means locked into anything because of the love of Buffalonians. 2. I agree with this. The only exception being if winning does not make him the most money or feed his ego the most. Those are the two things he values most. Turing a turd into a winner would certainly be an ego booster so turning the Bills into a winner would be high on his list to be sure.
