  1. A complete and total narcissist yes, but a moron no.
  2. No it's really not. They may let the lease run out while they build a new stadium, or break it if that is economically feasible for them. This would probably not be a quick sale because it's not like Mr. Wilson's passing was a complete surprise. Any potential buyers as well as the NFL has had years to get things lined up. And Senator Chuck is irrelevant in this process. He will make noise I'm sure, but at the end of the day that's all it will be, I still think we have not even heard the name of the next Bills owner yet. But the scenario you cannot envision is certainly possible.
  3. That's a good point. But maybe if they announce their intentions to move the team to Toronto in X years that's OK?
  4. Everything is at this point.
  5. Rumor has it he is in with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, the group that owns most of Toronto's professional sports teams. That group certainly has experience. I suppose them being approved would depend upon how much the NFL wanted to expand outside of the US.
  6. Forbes valued the Bills at 870 million this past August so 1 billion should be a reasonably strong bid I would think (15% over valuation).
  7. That makes a lot more sense than "one strike away".
  8. And I'm saying that 32 Billionaires in different industries in different states have their own hooks into the state and federal governments to the point that they could, through their lobbies and/or directly, tell Senator Chuck to sit down and shut up and he would do it. Or do you think the power of 1 Senator is greater in the national government than 32 Billionaires? At the end of the day Chuck wants to keep his job. Putting up a public fight for Bills fans is good politics for him. Until he pisses off 32 people who collectively could alter his job status.
  9. I suspect the collective wealth and contacts the 32 owners (counting the to-be-determined Bills owner) have, they are not very worried about Senator Chuck
  10. I wonder how many fan boards of other teams have similar things posted but substituting "Bills" for "Raiders".
  11. Hard to argue with your sentiment and passion. However in my opinion there are far fewer that feel as you do compared to the rest.
  12. My feelings as well. When we hear the team has been sold is when we will hear the name of the buyer probably for the first time.
  13. 1. No. 2. Some may make some noise at first, but ultimately "who cares".
  14. Assuming Manuel has the full confidence of the coaching staff, I am satisfied with Lewis as the backup. Bringing in a good vet to help mentor them both is a good idea if they can get one at a good price.
  15. There is no way a statewide referendum passes for a stadium in Buffalo. Not even the slightest chance. Even a local one within WNY where WNY people fund a stadium would fail in my opinion. The number of real Bills fans that would be willing to fund a stadium is dwarfed by the others, again in my opinion.
  16. Well someone on his behalf issued a press release anyway.
  17. His agent did a good job on the press release. I particularly like the last line of the article ... "Kelly has yet to announce if he'll be transferring from the school following his dismissal. " No more football, or football player special considerations by the teachers, and no more free ride. So much for staying at Clemson.
  18. Thurman is likely to align himself with whomever Jim Kelly does ... if it ever comes to that.
  19. I found this article today on this topic and figured I'd share. http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/fewer-kids-are-playing-football-but-mark-cuban-might-be-wrong-about-why/
  20. I agree. And add until CJ becomes an every down back that an OC does not fear giving the ball to on 3rd down. I respect your opinions, but the whole "one strike away" rationalization is getting very old and more tiresome as time goes by.
  21. He is actually an American. New Jersey specifically.
  22. Well when a neutral observer looks at the size of the market, the affluence of the markets, and the outlook for the area, then Toronto is obviously the better choice. There are lot of other things that factor into it that said neutral observer might not know or care about.
  23. Confrontations with security at the gates is considerably preferable to confrontations with other fans when an a-hole lights up at his seat.
  24. Even one of the Rochester TV sports guys did a commentary about it last night. He was all for it. Said the Bills have been irrelevant for 15 years now, and Trump instantly gets the Bills in the news and gains credibility as an organization.
  25. He apparently is an !@#$, sucks at QB, and is a diva who's only talent is having Jim as his uncle. What have the Bills got to lose? How about what's left of their dignity.
