The cheerleaders at our local high school don't even cheer at many games anymore. Their main focus is the gymnastics like competitions that exist now. The whole leading cheers thing today just seems to be a throwback that they do once in a while.

RE: 6 years - They wouldn't have to. But that has been discussed at length and with excellent informed input in another thread. Some choose to believe it, and others don't. RE: decreased sales and revenue could actually work in their favor. If the Bills break the lease and the county takes them to court and the court awards the penalty payment to the county (specified as $400 million in the lease), the court could make the county provide evidence of $400 million in damages. If sales and revenue due to game attendance dramatically fall off (due to the sale of the team), the county might not be able to prove that much in damages and the amount the Bills would have to pay as a penalty would be [considerably] less.

Jacobs Family front runners?
CodeMonkey replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
According to Forbes Nov 2013 the value of the Bruins was 600 million including 277 million from the stadium. So the value of the team itself would be 373 million, The Sabres value was 250 million with 76 million from the stadium (somehow) for a value of 174 million. -

Ahhh. I was judging it on what Pegula paid for the Sabres. I didn't realize how much of a bargain he got -

Hmmm. I'd like to see the bottom line for the new Bills owner after a few years and compare to the Bruins, Habs, Pens, or Leafs owners during the same time. I suspect the TV contract would make even the Bills more profitable overall. But if you took away TV contracts, the NHL would survive. Do that to the NFL and it would collapse within one year. Plus the cost of a NFL franchise is about 4 times a NHL one. Which is the more viable? I'm not sure. -
Buffalo Bills schedule released...

The fantasy football people I know have their tablet/laptop next to them while they watch a game. The get their fantasy info online in one concise place and watch whatever game they are interested in. The networks are catering to games that give them the best ratings. Best teams/games equals best ratings. Simple. When the Bills and other AFC teams stop sucking you will see them in prime time as well. As with everything else in the NFL, show me the money baby. -
It's the Bucs game on Saturday Aug 23 at 4:30. A Saturday at 4:30, you really can't ask for more. The Bills do a really good job making it very enjoyable for the kids and the hard core drunks are encouraged to (and do for the most part) stay away that game. We go every year and I highly recommend it to Bills fans with kids. The fireworks show after the game is usually nice as well. And don't buy tickets from the Bills. You can usually get them dirt cheap on StubHub (or probably from people here as well), the exception being recently when it was against the Stillers and Stillers fans were buying them at near face, the bastages! Enjoy!

The PDF from the Bills site (far left button) printed fine for me. http://www.buffalobills.com/

Buffalo Bills schedule released...

That really means nothing. -
Donald Trump asked to invest in the Bills
CodeMonkey replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is a narcissistic businessman who (at least publicly) says he wants to buy the team for a billion dollars and keep in in it's current small impoverished market that he has no real connection to when he could make more money elsewhere. In my opinion he is either crazy or lying. Too close to call at the moment. -

More like a Buffalo Jill to Kate Upton. And do you take the Jill that is a sure thing or Kate that is an extreme long shot at best ? -

Buffalo Bills schedule released...

I think the schedule makes perfect sense if the goal was to avoid blackouts (which it is). December games are tough for the Bills to sell out even when the team hasn't sucked for a decade. So 3 away games in December along with the only home game being GB which is guaranteed to sell out because of packer fans is brilliant. Even the late November home games are against the Jets and Browns whose fans are well within driving distance and travel well. It's a great schedule in terms of maximizing ticket sales and minimizing blackouts. -
It makes money because Mr. Wilson carried no debt and did not for a VERY long time. Maybe I didn't express myself well, but I think JBJ is part of moving the team out of Buffalo because he found a group that would have him in it, and that group wants to move the team. Yeah for greed, but also because they have other sports interests in Toronto already, and it is a considerably more viable city. I doubt either the Toronto group or JBJ care enough about Buffalo to give it a F U. It's just business to the Toronto group and JBJ simply wants to be an owner. if JBJ was part of a group that wanted to keep the team in Buffalo, he would be OK with that too. Maybe the "Kelly Group" has room for another 100 mil partner

Fred mostly I would think. But probably Spiller a little to try and make sure he doesn't get around the corner and actually make positive yards during his situational carries. And maybe BellyCheat dials up some additional blitzes while he is in knowing he sure as hell isn't going to pick up the blitzer. Look, you see lots of potential still in Spiller. I think as a RB he should have produced a hell of a lot more, and more consistently, than he has for as long as he has been on the Bills. We disagree and that's cool. And FWIW, I hope you are right.
-
I think it is partly because you are taking it personally .. not that there is anything wrong with that If you grew up in Chicago say and were a lifelong Bears fan and JBJ was going to buy the Bills and move them out of NY. Would you care? I know I wouldn't. I strongly doubt this is a F U to Buffalo from JBJ. I think he wants a team, period. And this is his best way. That being said, nothing wrong with hating that D-Bag for wanting to do it!

And I may well be one of them. But I see great speed and quickness to go along with his great attitude and apparent work ethic. But so far, aside from a few spectacular long highlight reel runs, I see nothing else so far. It's probably because I see little overall value in a flash situational running back and would much much rather have someone like a Thurman or even a Lynch who produce consistently play after play. Maybe I can't see the forest for the trees. But in my opinion (which could change at any time if Spiller suddenly "gets it") I see people that are very high on Spiller as in the category you mentioned of a Bills fan who is overrating this player. Please God let Spiller prove me wrong this season

I don't blame the ex-Jills. I strongly suspect some scumbag ambulance chasing lawyer found them and said he could get them some easy money (figuring the Bills would settle).
-
He just wants to be an owner of an NFL team in some capacity. Doesn't have the funds to do it himself so he is doing this. I doubt it matters much to him where the team plays.
-
How many super bowls did Barry Sanders play in? I'll save you the Google, zero. Obviously that's not all on him, but as a key player he did factor into it considerably. Flash players are fun to watch and probably sell seats, but that's about it. And FWIW, I'd take Thurman over Sanders or Spiller any day.
-
His net worth is reported to be 300 million so someone has been going and/or buying his stuff.
-
I can see your sarcasm tags But you are not far off. Nine runs of no gain and one run of 50 yards gives you a 5 YPC average. The 50 yard run is fun for the fans to watch and the 5 YPC is a nice stat, but mostly you see 3 and outs like that. Spiller far from sucks and still has a lot of potential. And if he could block, was big enough to be a workhorse like Fred, and would go north and south and stop all the no gains or losses dancing to the sideline the Bills would have something there. But so far that hasn't happened. If they could get good trade value for Spiller I'd be happy. But I don't think they will and I don't want the Bills to just give him away.
-
If the Bills do want to trade Spiller, I sure hope there are a few GMs that feel this way!

Well played

That would be worth it for the forum threads it would generate alone.
