  1. Cut hell no, only a moron would agree with this. If anything, trade him. But even that is stupid for being late to meetings and drag racing. Fine the **** out of him to hopefully curb his appetite for stupidity maybe. But it's not like he killed somebody or ran over a hooker
  2. Or collect the money from others and put up a billboard outing the douche and the douche lawyer.
  3. I have gotten tickets for out of town Bills fans in the past. There are a lot of night practices that will require tickets this year and I would be happy to do so again. I will post as the tickets become available (they don't give away all dates at once unfortunately) and get some for fans in need if I can. For those who have never been, the Bills do a first rate job at camp to make the experience very enjoyable. Even more so for kids. Mine have been to more practices than they have missed the past 3 or so seasons and they are looking forward to it again this year.
  4. If you guys think the rest of congress is going to go along with Chuckles and essentially kill the NFL in order to keep a team in Buffalo (and kill any chance they have at reelection in the process) then we agree to disagree. Billionaires that acquired their fortune through business eat politicians for breakfast. If this situation ever comes up (and I hope it does not) I fully expect all WNY politicians to do a lot of sabre rattling because they can't afford to look weak on this issue (again for reelection) but that's all it would amount to.
  5. Regarding the 6 year thing, they probably wouldn't. But while some here think the 6 years is cast in stone, it isn't necessarily in my opinion anyway. And you really think that the group of Billionaires that collectively call themselves the NFL are afraid of tiny little Senator Chuckles?
  6. Yeah that would clearly come into play, but separately I think. I suspect the high bidder would be proposed to the other owners and brought up for a vote and if they got the thumbs down, the trust would propose the next highest maybe? That makes sense to me anyway
  7. I doubt Mr. Wilson would have put that kind of faith in the other 31 greedy bastard owners
  8. Perhaps. But I go back to the fact that if the trustees had that kind of control in who they sold the team to, there would be no need to make the lease as painful as they did to move the team. They would just sell it to someone who they trusted would keep the team in Buffalo and not handcuff the new owner(s) to that lease .
  9. Unlikely as it is in the best interests of the principals of the trust. The principals of the trust are likely to be family. What's best for Buffalo or the county would not seem to enter into it. And a football team would be an asset like any other. But of course I am not a attorney, haven't played one on TV, and didn't even stay in a holiday Inn last night. I was just a trustee and executor within the past couple years.
  10. Maybe he got some interest from another network to be a talking head again
  11. Actually I was a trustee recently and was told by the trusts attorney that I had the fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of the principals of the trust. Which meant in my case, and I would assume here as well, getting the most money for every asset. From what the attorney told me the states are extremely strict about that. If this was not the case there would be no need for the "iron clad" lease. The trustees could sell to whoever they wanted to.
  12. Interesting, I had not considered the possibility of moving the team without breaking the lease.
  13. These kind of posts make me chuckle. I guarantee you could find on a Jets board the following: "They have a good defense, but Manuel will make dumb mistakes if he is even able to play and we'll have a short field. We will split or sweep." Either one could end up being true.
  14. True, but in this [overly] politically correct world we live in you don't think CBS would rather dump Danny Boy than piss off the NFL? Ex-players are a dime a dozen.
  15. I would think Green bay for sure. Probably Cleveland. Any other clear ones? Otherwise 7 or more owners that would vote against it purely for nostalgia reasons? Hmmm maybe NE*, Mia, and the Jets would rather keep the Bills than take their chances with whatever other team they would put in the AFCE if the Bills moved far enough.
  16. I would agree that 3 seems very very low unless Manuel sucks big time and/or can't stay on the field again.
  17. Well even most of the politically motivated posts mention either the Bills or the stadium.
  18. Well duh, would you sue your employer while still working there?
  19. And Bills fans writing positive ones. It's the way of the world
  20. The problem with what you are saying is that the NFL wants owners and players alike to make more and more money every year. Given the amount of games that do not sell out it seems they have reached the pain point for ticket prices in a lot of markets. They also can't up the TV revenue much without supplying more product such as more games per season. They really have to expand their market beyond the US to do this effectively. That way if it is popular they can have more TV contracts in Europe for example and keep the gravy train running.
  21. Sorry just saw this. You stated "there's got to be 40k-50k other folks out of the +1M in the Greater Buffalo Area that can do so as well." Only 50k to 60k people out of that +1M are season ticket holders, the others do not matter as they will not be buying a PSL. So basically I am saying change "there's got to be 40k-50k other folks out of the +1M in the Greater Buffalo Area that can do so as well." to "there's got to be 40k-50k other folks out of the 60K season ticket holders that can do so as well.". There could well be enough people willing to buy a PSL. But 2/3 or more of the current season ticket holders? Not sure.
